Went for dinner with a few colleagues and we shared a bunch of their cold & hot appetizers, got the hummus, pomegrante & sumac Hummus, babaganoush, fried brussel sprouts on sumac hummus, najib's special cauliflower, fattoush salad and halloumi with pita bread. I ordered from their hot appy menu chicken shish tawook came with 2 skewers with avocado and hummus and it was great. Half the table ordered the sahlab which was steamed oat milk with rose water, cinnamon & agave, it was so satisfying and a pretty drink in a mug. It reminded me of the hot rose milk I used to drink growing up except used to drink regular milk as a kid. This place is located in the heart of Yaletown. There are some metered parking spaces on the smaller side streets. The inside of the restaurant is spacious compared to other places in the area. Their service is decent and the good is above average. My favorite is the hummus and the least favorite is the lamb shank. The shank really lacks flavor. While we were dining there, we were also attacked by fruit flies. Therefore, there may be some sanitary issues with the place. read more

First time here. Just walked out the door and took our order to go instead. Great food, cute place, but absolutely horrible and bizarre service. The girl working at 4pm on 5/14/26 (long, black curly hair) provided horrible service, had the worst attitude, made a face and had a nasty tone when we asked for regular water instead of cucumber, stared at us the entire time we were waiting, and could hear her talking about us to the nighttime server who had just clocked in. Lebanese food is very popular in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver. I tried several places and finally had a chance to visit Nuba, one of the most famous Lebanese restaurants in Vancouver. What we ordered: Dip Sampler,Hummus, muhammara, baba ghanouj. The best dish of all. Hummus; I really liked it for its creamy texture. The other two dips also had very unique flavors. I truly enjoyed this dish. Lamb Kebab,Halal ground lamb, fresh parsley, onions & red pepper served with grilled vegetables, toasted pita with tzatziki topped with butter sauce. Lamb kebab was minced, instead of meat chunks. This dish was decent, just okay. Bison Kibbeh Baked kibbeh with Southern-spiced bison, red pepper, burghul, onions, and pine nuts & tzatziki. Very delicious. I could taste a hint of spice and the very unique use of bison in the dish Overall, I really enjoyed the dish; however, it might have a slightly Westernized flavor rather than being traditional Lebanese. I've been to Nuba multiple times, at different locations. This was the first time I've been to the Yaletown spot though! Service was quick and friendly, and the ambiance was warm. Came for lunch with friends, and I ordered the chicken shish tawook lunch plate. I asked for the potatoes and rice to be half/half (instead of getting a full serving of one or the other). Pita bread and the spicy green sauce came on the side. The chicken was well-seasoned, but I felt it was a bit on the drier side. That's what you get with chicken breast though. The brown rice was a little dry to me, but the potatoes were perfectly cooked and crispy on the outside. The pickled red cabbage and salad section was a lot for me, and I didn't end up finishing it. Same with the generous pile of delicious hummus! It tasted so fresh. Their white garlic sauce on the side is a must-dip in my opinion. It elevated a lot of the dish for me. read more

Wow, totally unexpected food from this place. This place serves great Lebanese food. There was four in our party. Service to me started a bit slow but picked up during the meal. The restaurant was a mixture of Lebanese decor and diner style. They have a patio makes off in the street but don't worry it is a fairly quiet street. I had the lamb Kafka which was delicious. I had the appi size portion which were on skewers. They were warm but not steaming hot. I had pita bread with it. Each one worked out to about $8.50 each. I wanted the lighter portion as I was having a bigger dinner later. The rest of us had meat and fattoush that can be chicken or lamb.They were huge and a meal within itself. Service was fairly good, ambiance was good, the food was a miss for me. I ordered the arugula salad which was wonderful except that it was over dressed and the dressing was way too sweet in relation to the other elements. Not balanced. Also had the pomegranate sour, also way too sweet for what you would expect out of a sour cocktail. I couldn't finish it as it was way too syrupy. The other item was the sweet potato main. The seasonal puree it was served with, was also way too sweet. Wasn't balanced with the dish. I asked the server if they added sugar or some kind and she said that it was only sweet potato, carrot and caramelized onions. Left me to assume that there was something added to the onions. Again just not balanced. I cook a lot and eat out a lot so when I pay for an experience, my expectations are high. We arrived 30 minutes early, but the lady at the restaurant kindly showed us to our seats. Our seats were in a private booth just to the right of the entrance. Bcz my husband told them when he made the reservation that he had a date tonight. We ordered Najib's Special:Crispy cauliflower tossed with lemon & sea salt. Served with tahini $15. Manh:Turkish style vegetarian dumplings with mushrooms & lentils filling, garlic labneh and tomato sauce $25. Add on Prawns(3pcs) $9.45 and 1 piece of Lamb kafta $8.45. Pinot Noir wine $15. Dessert for Baklava Cheesecake $15 and Lebanese Pastries $10. Total CA $104. include tax but not tips. The price was higher than I expected. Manh was my favorite and 3 pcs of Prawns and 1 pc of Lamb kafta was good taste but overpriced. Najib's Special was ok. The Baklava Cheesecake for dessert was delicious. This was my first time at this Lebanese joint in Yaletown, Vancouver. I've never had Lebanese food like this. I'm not going to judge based on a first time lunch experience, but I am going to tell you how my lunch was. I had the Lamb Hushwie Pita Wrap. It was GROUND Lamb meat and very dry and I couldn't taste the lamb at all. If you're going to serve GROUND lamb in a wrap...you should put in the description. If they had I would not have ordered it. It really should've been little chunks of lamb and significantly under-seasoned. It looked and tasted like a very awkward sloppy-joe type with stale pita Lebanese food wanna-be. The side Falafel: dry and tasteless. The hummus underneath was ok. The chicken Pita Wrap was slightly better than the Lamb but the bread was stale and flakey. I mean truly when you think of Lebanese food...you think of bold flavours, daring parings and creative presentation and there was none of that. I've had better from food trucks. The location is great. The restaurant atmosphere is bright and clean. The prices are on the higher end ...it's too bad the food doesn't match those criteria. Our first visit to Vancouver. We were traveling all day from the East coast and super hungry. Nuba was a short walk from our hotel and the reviews looked great so we decided to try it. We were greeted by Anna who right away convinced us that Nuba was a good choice. We started with and shared the fried cauliflower which was amazing. I had the lamb Kafka and my wife had the chicken skewers. Both dishes were exceptionally good though portions were smaller than we were expecting. We shared the cheesecake which was delicious and not overly sweet. Anna, our server was engagingly friendly and added a star to this 5-star review. No matter the new menu has variety and we had a good time with the profesional and courteous service offered by Luca, great customer service skills and very diligent . Two friends and I bought tickets to watch a movie at VIFF theatre and Nuba Yaletown on Davie Street is the perfect place to have dinner before the movie. The space felt spacious and I felt there was sufficient distancing from the nearest table. We asked for recommendation and went with the special that was suggested -- Halloumi Cheese mezze. It was a dish of cheese and peace, a taste of salty and sweet, a unique but quite refreshing combination. We also had the Bison Kafta Mezze with an extra order of bison skewer and the Lamb Kibbeh. The taste of the bison and lamb were both good, we just wanted to give bison a try since none of us had it before, but it wasn't anything special to write about. I deducted one star for small portions of the dishes and the service. While the server was polite, she looked annoyed when we asked her for recommendation and turned down her first suggestion of hummus (none of us really wanted it). She appeared to be abrupt and just wanted us to finish the meal after that, she did not offer us the dessert menu after dinner. On Friday night, my sister and I went to Nuba before the Trevor Noah show. I'd been to another Nuba location once years ago, so this was essentially my first time. We arrived around 5pm, in time to catch happy hour, which is from 3-6pm (from their website, it appears that the other locations end their happy hour at 5pm). While they didn't have any great happy hour drink specials, they had a decent happy hour food menu, with items priced at $7 or $8. From their happy hour menu, we both ordered the Chicken Shish Tawook (chicken skewers served with hummus, avocado, and beets), and my sister also ordered the "Najib's Special" (cauliflower), while I ordered the Mjadra (organic green lentils and rice with jalapeños, avocado, and caramelized onions). The chicken was quite good, but the Mjadra was AMAZING. Unfortunately I could not finish it all, as it was extremely filling -- well worth the $8. I definitely want to go back and have the Mjadra again, as well as try out other dishes. I recommend Nuba for food, but if you're budget conscious, skip the drinks. (The mojitos we had were delicious, but at $11, a bit pricey, and they were quite small.) read more

What a lovely spot on the block. There is always a wait at this location. Tried the chicken tawook and was expecting it to be dry like what other reviewers had said but it was actually really good. Tender, juicy and seasoned well. I did however find the servings to be smaller than average (salad plate size). There was only 2 skewers on top of hummus with a side of pickled cabbage. Certainly did not look like any of the photos with salad and olives on the side. It did however come with pita bread. The green juice was extremely good if you like sour green juices. We came here on a Monday on September 13th right after the passports were in effect. The host was very nice and diligent with checking our IDs. We were a table of five which included a 1-year-old baby. The staff were very nice and accommodating especially with my baby. They had high chairs available and we were also social distanced inside the restaurant. The restaurant itself had very lovely decor and also a bathroom where we were able to change our baby's diaper. The food was also delicious and we shared a bunch of appetizers family style. The waitress was also very nice and diligent with filling our Waters and giving us extra pita. Many a time, pre-pandemic, I've passed by this Lebanese restaurant in the summer, and there always seemed to be a line of people waiting to get in during lunch or dinner times. I've often thought to myself, this place is super popular, it must be good, and I made a mental note to dine here when possible. I finally made good on that suggestion to myself, as I recently dined here with three friends. And yes, it was quite good! We arrived without a reservation later on a Sunday afternoon, before the dinner rush. There were only a few other diners in the place, so we were seated right away. The restaurant interior is small but cute, with lots of light from the windows, and one recessed dining "booth" in a sheltered niche covered with mosaics. Pretty. Our server was great! Very attentive and helpful. I've never had Lebanese food before, but I'm very accustomed to Mediterranean/Greek cuisine, as well as Israeli fare, and other middle-eastern dishes (like those at The Afghan Horseman). There is a lot of overlap in dishes from all these countries, and I really love the spices and foods from this part of the world. Our party of four decided to order 4 separate dishes and share them all: Najib's Special (roasted cauliflower with spices), Mushroom Hushwie, Chicken Shish Tawook, and Bison Kafta. I was a bit taken aback at the small portions of all four plates, but what they lacked in volume and size, they sure made up for in tastes and flavors. All four dishes were great, but the biggest hit of the night was the roasted cauliflower which was so flavorful and soft and crispy and just delicious in every way. We all went crazy over this cauliflower! A close second was the chicken shishkababs; the chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and very moist. I wasn't partial to the bison or the mushroom dishes, but my friends LOVED these dishes, so I was the dissenting palette here (lol!). The bison was ground up like a hamburger and I guess I was expecting cubes of marinated meat. The mushrooms, too, were macerated into a finely chopped consistency, and again, I was taken aback with the texture, more so than the taste (which was quite good. But I just didn't like the texture). The hummus and pitas were fabulous, and I probably should have put the bison and/or mushroom concoctions on a pita with hummus and rolled it up into a wrap of sorts, but instead I just tried these dishes on their own, preferring not to fill up on the bread (pita). The overall price of our meals was surprisingly SUPER reasonable. I expected to pay much more to dine out in Yaletown at a such a popular place. All in all, this was a lovely introduction to Lebanese cuisine for me, and I plan on returning. read more

I'm not sure what's with this location but I will not be returning. Go to 3rd Ave or Gastown location, as Yaletown is not good on any level in comparison. We had to wave our server down (which I hate doing but they would not come over, we sat there with water for 15 mins and no one came by, then waited nearly 20 mins to pay our cheque so we had to try and get their attention somehow!) We ordered le feast and when it was brought out the server rudely told us we needed to make room on the table, we had already pushed our drinks to the edge so we were like "uhm we can't?" and she said "well I need more room" ok maybe don't use such large plates or figure out a better way to serve the feast on the teeny tables? How is this a customer issue to solve? The wine we ordered, which we asked if it was sweet and were told it wasn't, was either off or they don't know their own wines. It was so sugary we could barely drink it. We had requested a dryer rose and this was like drinking simple syrup. The food was fine but I think the other locations do it better.
