It's alright. I've had fast food Hawaiian that's better priced with larger portions. The patio is cute and I believe the happy hour is a good deal for beer, but for a meal I don't think it's worth the price. My mini mac lunch was $14.99 and barely any chicken. It comes with just a small scoop of mac salad and half portion of rice which is sufficient. And that's it. Honestly worth $6 considering that there were like 5 strips of chicken. I ordered the large plate of Katsu and 2 Musubis (1 spam/egg and 1 chicken). The katsu platter is bigger than you think. I wasn't sure how much 1lb was and brought it to a small Friendsgiving, I don't even think we made a dent lol. The spam/egg musubi is okay. Maybe it's the way they cook the spam, but it felt really tough to chew through. I think it's a mix of slicing the spam thinner and cooking it on each side a little too long. The rice to spam ratio was awesome, most places go too heavy on the rice but not here. So flavorful, just perfect! Don't be fooled by the name. It's just not catering. You can order at the window and they have a patio to sit and eat. There's an outdoor sink which is a nice touch. Now about the food. I love Hawaiian chicken. I used to get it every week when I worked downtown, from the place that pops up at farmers' markets around L.A., and it's actually one of the only things I've missed about my temping years. Now that I've discovered Aloha Catering, I can eat delicious Hawaiian chicken in my pajamas with my teeth unbrushed, while listening to an audiobook in the lazy comfort of my own home. I found Aloha on Caviar last month and have already ordered from them twice and expect to keep them in my rotation for the rest of my delivery-hungry life. No problems with the delivery service, and the food is just delicious. The menu is pretty short and simple, and I think I'll always get more or less the same thing: a musubi and a chicken mix plate. There are a handful of musubi available and I've tried the classic Spam and the Spam with egg, fish cake, gochujang, jalapeño. Both are fantastic, savory and satisfying, and I'm thrilled to have a go-to place for musubi on top of Hawaiian chicken. As for the chicken, it's exactly what I want when I order Hawaiian chicken: tender and meaty, super flavorful and beautifully marinated and grilled. It's a little bit sweet, perfect with white rice and some hot sauce--Aloha offers both mild and habanero sauces, but both are pleasantly spicy. There's a sweet guava sauce, too, if spice isn't your thing. The mix plate also comes with a small scoop of the excellent creamy mac salad and a side of spring mix salad, which I get with oriental sesame salad dressing. Aloha Catering also caters, of course, and I will definitely keep them in mind if I ever want to feed several people chicken and musubi. In the meantime, I'm happy to have this place in my lunch rotation. I always look forward to Hawaiian chicken. read more

Whole rotisserie chickens do require 45 mins and I believe were only available Saturday and Sunday. Upon arrival they told us they were sold out of Shoyu Chicken. That limited a good portion of the menu but we were still able to get a plate of Katsu which was delicious. Perfectly breaded and was so tender. The Mac side salad was fantastic. They have two hot sauces original and spicy. The spicy has definitely got a punch as it is made from habanero. The patio area was incredibly spacious and beautiful. I wanted to try this place after seeing Phil Rosenthal post his meat jun plate in his IG story! I grew up in Hawaii and I love meat jun, it is hard to find in Los Angeles. I think I have only had it at two other places here and Aloha Catering by far is the best one! It was so soft and tender! Meat Jun is a Korean-Hawaiian dish, it is marinated beef dipped in egg batter, so ono! The mac salad here is also the best Hawaiian-style mac salad I have had in LA!
