    Meat Jun Plate
    Becky N.

Taste of Home! We left the islands almost 10 years ago and trying to find Meat Jun has not been successful. Brah! Meat Jun was broke da mouth! The Shoyu Chicken Katsu was super ono and flavorful. Our teenage boy got his go to Loco Moco and he was very pleased. The portions were generous, the staff shared aloha with us, and we were full when pau. Our son enjoyed his food so much he went back the next day for more! He got a variety of Spam Musubi which he loved. We highly recommend you get your next plate lunch from Aloha Catering!

    Musubi
    Travis P.

I tried a few musubi from their stand at the Monrovia Farmers Market. I ordered a Spam musubi and a chicken musubi, which I think they're known for. Both were really tasty, and all of their BBQ items looked delicious too. The food was solid, and everything came out super fast.

We had it for catering at work and everyone loved it. Great food, cooked on site by professional staff.

Food was soooo goood!!! Everyone asked if I needed anything and everyone was super attentive :) super lowkey and the patio is lovely for a summer day. Ambience is homey and friendly. Will come back when im in the area!

I've been here about 3 times now, the meat is always marinated very well. My food is always very delicious. The sauces make for a greater experience, I enjoy the sweet and spicy profile of them. The service here was great, the young lady at the register was very kind. Thank you guys!

They are located near downtown and had very good food The plates are a good value you can eat both indoors and outdoors. They do obviously cater and they have a food truck service was excellent limited parking.

Half pound Chicken Plate and side of Mac

This is supposed to be the Half pound of Chicken Plate and I got an additional side of mac. Unfortunately they really cheaped out on the $20 of chicken I paid for PLUS the additional side of MAC which they charged me another $5 for. This is seriously ridiculous

Came back to try the Meat Jun (beef) plate and wow, my new fave, so so yummmmm, especially with the sauces, mmm mmm mmm

    Chicken bowl with salad

Their food truck was at my workplace today. I ordered the chicken bowl with veggies instead of rice. The chicken was cooked to my liking- well done and perfectly seasoned. My co-worker got the combination plate-it looked so good, I plan to get that next time. Service was fast and friendly. Food truck was clean and well-kept.

We got some of the lunch bowls and we were so full. I ate all of it but my coworkers couldn't finish theirs. Love that it also came with salads and different sauces to try! A nice place to get Hawaiian food close to DTLA

Had lunch today here and loved it! The restaurant is patio-only with a great deck, lots of sun shade and clean outdoor furniture. The menu is pretty expansive and all of the food is really good! I ordered the Kalbi Chicken Mix plate ($21) and the chicken was SO tender. The beef was soft and was a nice thick cut. The original sauce had a nice mild kick today and the macaroni was delicious. Overall, I will be back and can totally see myself catering from them!

No OJ was weird, so I got a soda. The service could use a little work. Train up your stuff and don't just hire anybody. Cashier was borderline rude and just not that helpful. As she was taking my order she stopped to spit out her gum. Shouldn't be chewing gum. Violation! The menus were beat up and I had to find them. Outdoor seating was ok, could use some rearranging. Not sure why there was a guy working on a greasy low boy near the outdoor seating. It's got a family chill vibe for sure. Decor is dated but it's ok. Doesn't really remind me of Hawaii but at least they tried.

The Hawaiian barbecue chicken was incredibly juicy, tender, and full of flavor without being dry at all. The real star of the meal, though, was the short ribs. They were unbelievably tender, perfectly seasoned, and practically fell apart with every bite. Every part of the meal was cooked with care, and you could taste the quality in every dish. The service made the experience even better. Everyone greeted us with a smile, was genuinely welcoming, and made us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. It's always refreshing to eat somewhere that not only serves amazing food but also has a team that clearly enjoys taking care of its customers. This was easily one of the best Hawaiian meals I've had in a long time, and I already know I'll be back. I'm especially excited to try the chicken katsu next because if it's anywhere near as good as the barbecue chicken and short ribs, I'm sure it'll be another favorite. If you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food with generous portions, incredible flavors, and outstanding service, this place absolutely deserves a visit.

Over the years I've gotten take-out here but have also done dine-in. It seems they mostly do catering now, because they have very short business hours for the public. They are only open Thursdays and Fridays 10-3. Per the nice male employee who gave me my order, they're open on Sat and Sun if they don't have a lot of catering jobs, otherwise they're closed. Their website says their dining room is closed, but the employee says it's open Thurs and Fri. Nevertheless, I followed the website's info and ordered pick up. Here's what I ordered: 1) Komai's Big Breakfast. Komai was Aloha's original chef. Two eggs with all the meats: Portuguese sausage, Spam, Vienna sausage, corned beef hash plus 2 scoops of rice and a Hawaiian roll. No surprises here, very nice. 2) Kal B Chicken plate lunch. Chicken marinated in the same sauce as the more familiar kalbi beef short ribs, with rice and mac salad. The chicken did not seem to take up the marinade as well as beef, so it was tasty but on the dry side. I'd probably give their chicken teriyaki a go next time. The mac salad was fine, did have potatoes. 3) Spam musubi. Again no surprises, classic 4) ordered a side of char siu, but it was not available. A nice go-to if you're hankering for classic Hawaiian on a Thurs or Fri.

We arrived in the late afternoon and unfortunately they were all out of the malasadas which I planned to get for dessert. My friend ordered the Loco Moco and at first I was going to get a two item lunch plate with pork belly and beef but I decided against the plate. Instead I placed an order of their pork belly fries and spam fried rice. The Loco Moco was solid. The burger patty was cooked evenly, well seasoned and eggs over easy on top with gravy that wasn't salty. I love the Spam fried rice but my friend though it tasted too sweet. I think all the ingredients complimented well together. The spam, onions, and other veggies. The pork belly definitely gave a unique flavor to the pork belly fries. Both my friend and I agree that even though the pork belly tasted good it was a bit dry. The fries were above average. I would get the Loco Moco and Spam fried rice again but skip the pork belly fries. The service was friendly and my only complaint is that it is a small place. There are only a hand full of tables and finding a place to sit and eat would be a challenge during a lunch rush. However, I recommend giving a place a shot if your a fan of Hawaiian food. I already know that I'm coming back for the malasadas.

While I was staring at the menu deciding whether I wanted to get anything, several people came and went with their orders and everyone told me to get the fried chicken. So, I went inside and got the fried chicken with macaroni salad. A few mintues later, I added a katsu musubi to the order. This is not fast-food. The wait is real. About 12 minutes. I then had probably about 10 minutes of driving before I sat down to eat. The fried chicken is delicious and has a great crispy/crunchy skin. There is a faint sweetness that coats the chicken. The meat was not super plump like some national-chain places (I think those places brine-injected the chicken). Depending on your preference, this might feel too dry to you. Their dipping sauce for the chicken is very tasty. If they just sold that in bottles, I'd come just to buy that for use at home! Speaking of preferences, the macaroni salad is also well made, but it's simple and might be disappointing if you're expecting some kind of flavor kick. I liked it very much, because it is in the style of the basic macaroni salad -- someone described it as going home to Hawaii for them -- and I think that's what it is. Portions were enough to split into two meals. So I had half of my chicken and the mac salad. I had planned to also only eat half of the musubi. But it was delicious and had a nice crunch which I'm sure would not have held up being kept in the fridge. I really enjoyed the musubi on its own, but also enjoyed taking turns with bites with that sauce added on. I stored the rest of the chicken and mac salad in the fridge and then had them for dinner 6 hours later. Despite being in the fridge, the chicken still had a bit of a crunchy bite to it - it wasn't a mushy soggy mess. Very friendly service. This is not a sit-down place you go to for a dining experience - just a solid place to get food to go that will be delicious. Now that I've had the fried chicken that everyone seems to recommend, I'm looking forward to trying the rest of their menu.

It tasted a bit plain from other mac salads I've tried, but the noodles were cooked perfectly. For the price, the portion size is okay, but I'm not complaining since the food was good.
