What wasn't good was the way the company charged me for a delivery when i thought my acct was paused and never sent any heads up it was about to be unpaused, that the delivery cutoff date was approaching and the company had put 8 meals i can't even eat in my cart. Only when it was too late for me to do anything about it did i get an email saying "order received!" From whom? Cook Unity placed the order and cook unity charged the order and then just informed me it had received the order it placed on my behalf. I have new food sensitivities from a recent surgery and i wouldn't be able to eat 6/8 meals chosen for me. Not that it matters: I'm leaving town sunday so I will be able to use 0 of these and they may rot on my doorstep. I cancelled my account based on the above, THIS PART THEY FIXED: These sorts of tech platforms for services are either decent and attempting to deal fairly with customers or they are scammy websites that probably do half of this automatically and are programmed to automatically fill a cart and charge.better to get the customer's money now than wait for them to actually need the service (I'll note i was previously sent many heads ups before the cutoff for that week, but not the second time i paused for a few weeks). THEY DID DO THIS AT FIRST BUT THEN REFUNDED ME SO I THINK THEY'RE TRYING TO BE THE FIRST KIND OF COMPANY- Another fun fact - when i was scouring the website for a way to contact a human (email only and on 24hr delay, jury is still out on whether a living person will reply) I found no "support" link other than an email address but there was a link that said "do not sell or share my personal information." So you have to proactively go looking for that in the footer of the website and then go and send a request to opt out that they will "consider."
