We played the Cabin. Used our Las Vegas City Pass here. Cool set and interesting puzzles that make sense and are not insanely difficult. It was not overly produced but still gave you the feeling of being there in the moment. There were stages to the room that kept it interesting - you were always discovering more. Staff was friendly and helpful too. We were a small group of three, but it would have been great for a larger family or group too.

Our first escape room with the kids was in Las Vegas. We had one hour to escape, and the kids started right away with their ideas. My son even solved a clever puzzle that opened a drawer, and he proudly said, "I am so smart!" There were puzzles everywhere, and it wasn't easy. At the final stage, time was running out, and even with hints we couldn't finish. We were so close, but not quite there. For our first try, it was a great experience.

I have done five rooms at this location and they're all awesome. The game Masters are amazing.

Our Game Master (GM) was Angel and he was amazing! Very kind, accommodating, and thorough with the explanations. He was really helpful throughout our visit and really made our experience even more fun! The entrance to the escape room was super cool and a great way to get you in the escape room mode lol. Love that they have lots of cool souvenirs and things you can buy too! Our group of 6 challenged the Darkest Hours bundle where we played the Cabin, Shed, Red Riding Hood, Witch House, and combo of Chained and Voodoo Lounge rooms from 12AM - 3AM. I've done over 170 escape rooms at this point and have to say that the rooms at Black Cats Number One Escape Rooms are immersive, fun, and have some unique puzzles I haven't seen in other rooms. It was very refreshing to see new puzzles and unique mechanics! I highly recommend playing each of their rooms if you can!

    Chained was great

Review for two person room Chained! This place was great. It wasnt hard to find and had decent parking. You can tell their commitment to their craft as the lobby showed glimpses of their many rooms. The entry was even a puzzle on its own! The chained room is pretty small, we are sat facing opposite directions and had to talk through what we see. There were many puzzles and it was very fun! A little cryptic and macabre but no jump scares. I look forward to coming here again and trying other games. Oh, we passed with no hints

    We made it! :-)

Visited again today for another 2 rooms! It was a Friday afternoon (our first room was at 4:15), but it was fairly busy today compared to the last time we visited. Definitely suggest making reservations or calling ahead to make sure there's space for you and your party! Today, we tackled the Witch's room as well as Little Red's room! Little Red's room felt the more difficult of the two, but thematically, both were really fun and challenging enough. We made it out of both (phew) with a few minutes to spare. Both of these were less gore intensive than the other two that we did (the Cabin & Shed), but still had mature-ish themes. Something I did noticed, however, was that these two rooms felt more quiet than the Cabin & the Shed which I was grateful for. Another wonderful time at the Black Cats' escape room, we can't wait to come back and tackle whichever rooms we haven't already tried yet hehe. Don't forget to look for the secret puzzles for your prize!

Got this Groupon experience for my teen daughter and her friends. She's been to a few other places around town and said this was her favorite escape room so far. They did the witch theme. They said it was well well decorated with many interactive details. Scary at times but in a good way. They had a blast and would definitely come back. They were happy to have solved the puzzle and the bonus.

Ask the Community - Number One Escape Room

Hi there ? Can 2 people do your escape rooms

Yes! Most of our rooms accommodate 2-8 players.

Is it a private booking or are you grouped with strangers?

It's private. I don't like the rooms that are with strangers. These are all private.

Are any of the escape rooms kid friendly? We were thinking of Double crossed?

Hi! We do have rooms that are perfect for kids and families, we no longer have Double Crossed but we do have Suzys Cell which is great and coming this summer we have a new room being added as well =)

Is there an age limit? My 12 year old really wants to do an escape room?

Hi Aza, There is no age limit to play! Everyone's welcome =)

For the late night all play, is it as many rooms as you can do during those hours all for one price?

Yes! You can do any room, in any order, as many times as you would like!

How many people are allowed in the cabin room at once?

6 players is standard, but if you have kids you might be able to squeeze 8 in.

Are any of your rooms ok for kids?

Depends on how young. I think they want at least 10 years old.

Does the cabin room have a weight limit to get in the tunnel spaces or anything else?

I am not aware of a weight limit. But there are some times when you must crawl on your hands and knees to move to another room.

My friends and I want to do an escape room. The oldest is 16 are we fine without having adult supervision in the escape room?

    Yes!

Do you have to make an appointment? If so is it really busy?

Yes, book in advance and ask for ROD!!

We went to the Escape Game at Area15, as part of the lvl 3A experience pass. Having done most of the same rooms, at different locations, we opted for the Legend of the Yeti, which turned out to be mostly a re-themed (but also with new puzzles) "Goldrush". It was one of the more challenging rooms we've done (listed as an 8/10 difficulty), and while we typically don't need a lot of hints, we did use a lot here (completed as a party of 2). Having 1 or 2 more people in the group would help, but more than that would be too many, as the spaces are fairly small. I can't imagine doing it with 6-8, which it allows up to. We will always recommend "The Escape Game" as the experience is always fun / enjoyable.

My number one want for this particular location is flashlights! Please. The rooms are very dark so we couldn't see a few of the things we needed to find because they were dark and so was the room. This is the only one I've been to that doesn't provide a flashlight. I personally don't like using my phone. Depths - this room was really good but it's definitely the most straightforward game which would probably be very good for beginners because you can't move to step 2 without completing step 1. The rooms were also super cool looking. There is also a "game" within this game which I think was really extra fun. Ruins - I really liked this room, but, there is one puzzle where the pieces don't actually like up very well so it's insanely hard to figure out what goes where. Also. The last puzzle doesn't really work very well and some of the parts of it would be a little glitchy. When we were there the sound also didn't work on the tv so we didn't know when we were getting clues or anything. But the staff took care of us after the fact to make sure our next room will be fantastic. Timeliner (we did this in a different location) is one of my favorites. I really like the puzzles and the different themes included in this are really interesting. Prison break (also did at another location) - this was one of my favorites. The puzzles are challenging but really interesting and you start split into 2 rooms which I think is really fun and different. Heist (done at a different location) - another really good room. I will say the theming of this is way less involved than the other rooms but overall the puzzles are still very good. Gold rush (another location) - super fun. Very well themed and immersive room which are always my favorite. Getting to do more interactive puzzles is also really fun. Cosmic chaos - this unique because your clue guy talks to you and you talk to it. There is a part of this room though that ideally would want like 4 people for. It was insanely hard for 2 of us to do because we had to keep running back and forth to push buttons. Playground - this is easily another one of my favorites. I love the theming and I love the puzzles. They are very unique and have many different school based themes. There is also a checklist so you know when something is done correctly which is really helpful. Part of this are really challenging but in a good way. This is another one that would be ideal with more than 2 people. One of the last puzzles took forever for us to complete with only 2 people which definitely impacted our time.

We found this place and called around 830pm. They were able to squeeze us in for a 10:30 pm appointment. I have never tried an escape room before so they popped my cherry on this experience. I was a bit timid coming in but everyone in the shop was extremely nice and had a good vibe. So it was easy to get comfortable. We came during happy hour which I believe helped our tab. For the three of us, it was $105 flat. After signing a waiver, and a quick presentation, we were given one hour to solve the puzzles and save our girl. It being my first time in an escape room, maybe I didn't realize how practical the answers to the hints are. My advice to anyone going on this experience is to think practical. The answers are right in front of you. We were not able to finish the puzzle. We barely got into the second room with ten minutes to spare out of the hour of time given to us. And the second room seemed to be a lot harder than the first room. But overall we loved our experience. Destiney was a delight and even gave me a parting gift as seen in the photos. Since i decided to celebrate part of my bachelor party there, they made sure to give me a gift which was a beautiful touch to my visit. Thank you so much, I will be back a married man one day with my wife to check out the lingerie section. Five stars !!!!!

And had nothing to do with Hoover dam so the theming was confusing. Number 1 Escape Room has been our favorite in town. All the rooms have excellent theming and the rooms progress logically. After paying, you fill out the waiver forms on a tablet, secure your stuff in the complimentary school type lockers and you're ready to go. The pre-game screening shows you what to expect from your VR headset and weapon. Afterwards you enter the room and they load up your headset, vest with your VR Rifle attached. The equipment was comfortable, functional and I didn't have any issues. The Warhammer 40K game was 30 minutes long and it was Fantastic. Let me give a brief summary of Warhammer 40K: Imagine the darkest, most over-the-top sci-fi you can think of, then dial it up to eleven. That's 40k. It's set in the far future, like 40,000 years from now, and humanity is basically fighting for its life against everything. The galaxy is just one giant, brutal warzone. The core of it, revolves around the Space Marines. They're genetically engineered, surgically enhanced super-soldiers. They're basically humanity's ultimate weapon, created by the Emperor of Mankind. You and your team play as Space Marines on a mission that got me sweaty by the end of the game. The visual really played on my senses as my fear of heights in this virtual world was kicking in. The aliens that were swarming us kept the heart rate moving and the boss alien we had to battle was a blast. $50 (all in price) per person is probably the most I'd pay for this experience. At the end, you get the final game standings emailed to you along with a 30 second video clip that shows a side by side of what you were seeing in the game vs you in the actual world. We didn't have reservations. I know not a good thing in Vegas. We were there for my buddy's Birthday. When we got there the clerk said that there was a game starting in 15 minutes but the people who reserved it was for the robot game and not the zombie one. We were disappointed but since we were here we decided to play. We stepped away and came back. The other worker waived us into the room and explained that the group didn't make it and we would be playing the Outbreak game. What luck. He went over a training video on the VR items and how to use the weapons. Then we were lead into the gaming room. It was a large room almost like a warehouse size. SO we had all this area to move around in. The VR headset was tricky lining up at least for me. If you didn't have it square on your eyes it wouldn't be in focus. I finally got it on correctly. The gun can be used as a shotgun or an assault rifle. I stuck with the latter. Reloading was automatic which was good and bad. It was slow but you could press the reload button on the bottom of the rifle. Hard to get used to but quicker. It was really neat. When you got close to a wall or a person a wall of red triangles popped up so you know to move away. The game was a story and easy to follow. It was weird doing VR. It looked like you had to climb a pipe and possibly fall. The guy had to tell us through the headset that you are still on a flat floor and to remember that to move through the obstacles. I had so much fun and I didn't time it but seamed pretty long of a game. I would love to do this again. Definitely make reservations. A must.
