Run by the same company offering The Official Saw Escape Room, just in another corner of the same compound. As I mentioned in my Saw review, I prefer creep over gore, so Blair Witch was more up my alley thematically. While I don't love being paired with strangers, fortunately our group communicated fairly well with one another and successfully escaped in time.

I'm writing the review I wish I saw people write: This is a partial Escape Room, and mostly an Assistance Program lol. It was fun! But you do some puzzles on your own, and then you get led around by the Actor that deeply leads you to solve the rest of the Experience quickly and efficiently (because there's a group tailing you and they can't let your times merge). But, this is fine. This is a great experience for a group (absolutely not 8 people, that's wild. 6 MAX. 4 for most fun) to have a fun haunted house ambiance. Loved the vibe of each room. Little loud. Very doable. Not scary (I'm a scaredy cat).

Found this escape room on Groupon for about 30% off compared to the price of the merchant website. We've seen 2 Blair Witch movies in the past. I remember being scared after watching the very first one on VHS in the 90s lol. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time of 5:15pm. Glad they have outside air conditioning fan, tent and seats since we're in the middle of summer lol. Check out their website for FAQs to see what items are allowed and prohibited inside. We went in with only our wallets and phones in our pockets. It was convenient that way as some of the rooms were not spacious. Experience: Our party of 3 were grouped up with another party, it looked like they capped it at 7-8 people. The codes were easy to medium. The guide dressed up as a park ranger, he was helpful, professional and in character the whole time. Other than 1 hint, we solved all the locks and codes without help from the guide! Not going to spoil a lot, but this was an amazing immersive experience, probably one of our favorites! The production and executions were beautiful done! Location: The building with the big front gates is the entrance. There should be an employee by the gate to let you in. Parking: FREE parking on the side of W Boston Ave, to the side of the building. Highly recommend!

Fantastic escape room. Since we were a party of 2, we were paired with about 6 other strangers. Even though this definitely felt a bit crowded at times, it still was a fun experience. Just know that at some points of the experience you won't really be able to help when everyone is focused on one small corner or hallway. It was especially hard to move in the forest area with 8 people. Also, for some reason, you are only given 3 flashlights for Escape Blair Witch when you have 8 people. This makes it unnecessarily harder and less fun. You will have to use your phone flashlight if you don't have a flashlight, or else you won't be able to see anything to help the group. Maybe in the future they can offer smaller flashlights so everyone gets a fair chance to help? But despite the frustrating aspects, it was an incredible and immersive experience. Having an actor pop up in midway through was such a great touch. Tommy did such a great job at not revealing too much but helping just a little. He always stayed in character. The theme and decor was super professional and the storyline was great. Such a well done escape room! If you're a smaller party, consider choosing a less frequented time so you will have a smaller party. I can see the experience being so much better with a few people

Escape Blair Witch was phenomenal. I did the saw escape room a few years ago, and Blair Witch was to the same level of theming if not more. Between the set pieces and actors everything was top notch. Words truly can not describe how high quality this place is. I've done tons of escape rooms and none compare to the level of theming and detail that goes into this experience. We bought the all inclusive Go City pass. If you are using this pass you have to book it day if depending on availability. You email the team, and they will let you know what time slots are available. We were lucky to have Jay working the night we went through. They ensured the experience was excellent for us!! I've heard the team is working on a third escape experience. We will be booking a flight to Vegas as soon as it is announced!

What a great escape room. My only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was for 2 reasons. One it wasn't entirely their fault since the 2 other people didn't show up so they sent me alone. Which didn't help me get through the first few rooms. Until I got to the forest I got the help. The second reason is because I paid for a merch special and I didn't get the picture taken because they said that the camera was broken. I made this booking by phone, so they should have known that it wasn't working. So that's a bummer. Also the shirts for the special were xl and under. I needed an xxl and they didn't have any my size I so I had to grab one for a gift for so one of else instead for me. But other than that it was all great. Scary great help after like 30 mins into it. Oh well we'll see what happens next time. If I go back and if I want to get the merch special again. We'll see

We barely survived the Blair Witch!

This was an AMAZING experience!!! The set design was elaborate and immersive. The theatrics were intense and entertaining. The jump scares were plentiful. Matt our GM absolutely MADE this experience. He really got us into the story, and did a great job staying in character and guiding us through. I highly recommend this experience.

It's located off the strip which ultimately was the deciding factor. We booked the day before and still had plenty of availability to pick from. Since it was only 2 of us, we decided on "Chained" which made for a perfect date night activity. We were literally chained together the entire time which made it even more interactive. When we arrived, I loved how the entrance already was a light puzzle to get in. The staff were friendly and made it easy to navigate. We're already planning on coming back to try out a different room.

Number One Escape Room is located about four miles from the center of the strip. Plan accordingly,…read moreas it took us nearly 20 minutes to get there by taxi on a weekday afternoon. They have a quite a few rooms and we booked The Cabin, where you have to escape before the serial killer returns. This is a unique location as the entrance looks like a dry cleaning business. Once you walk in the front door, the masquerade continues, and you must solve a puzzle to gain entry to the main lobby. It's easy, don't over think it. The main lobby and hallways to the different rooms are somewhat dimly lit and decorated well. It gives a good vibe before you even start your room. There are lockers by the entrance door to store your belongings. We were greeted by our game master Angel who got us started quickly. Before you enter the room, the exterior is decorated just like a cabin and looks very realistic. Once you step inside the room, it is very immersive and again very realistic. All parts of this room are pretty dark, but you will have flashlights. There are some good sound effects, and since it is pretty dark, it is a little spooky, but not scary. There are a few jump scares, one part that requires a small crawl, and a tiny bit of gore at the end. There is a good mix of locks and mechanical puzzles. Hints are requested via a walkie talkie. This was a fun, very immersive room, and we escaped pretty fast with sixteen minutes to spare. If you escape early, there is a bonus puzzle you can work on with your remaining time. Their listed difficulty level of 3/5 is accurate. They have a very generous same-day rebooking discount that I think was around 50% off. The only room that was available at the time was Chained, so we gave it a try. This is a two person only room and is normally only $29 per person, so with the same day booking discount added, it is a steal. This was a very unique room. It is narrow, a little dark, and the two people sit back to back in large wooden chairs with your hands in shackles and chained to the other persons hands. All of the puzzles are within an arm's reach, but you have to coordinate your movements since the chains are only so long. I think I remember a few locks, and the rest were mechanical or physical puzzles. It is described as scary, but we didn't think it was scary. But there is a psychological factor being seated back to back and chained together the whole time. You really have to work together as a team since both people can't necessarily see the same things. Hints are given via text messages on a TV screen. We felt a little dumb in this one, and asked for a lot of hints, but we did escape with about five minutes left. The listed difficulty level is 3.5/5, but I'd maybe bump it up to 4/5. Angel was a great game master on both rooms, and gave timely hints as needed. We definitely kept him busy while doing Chained. Their rooms are very inexpensive at only $45 per person, even for only two people. And the Chained room is only $29 per person for two. Definitely take advantage of their generous same day booking discount and do a few rooms. They even have an option to rent out the whole building from 12:30am to sunrise, and your group has access to all of the rooms. Only in Vegas!

We found this place and called around 830pm. They were able to squeeze us in for a 10:30 pm appointment. I have never tried an escape room before so they popped my cherry on this experience. I was a bit timid coming in but everyone in the shop was extremely nice and had a good vibe. So it was easy to get comfortable. We came during happy hour which I believe helped our tab. For the three of us, it was $105 flat. After signing a waiver, and a quick presentation, we were given one hour to solve the puzzles and save our girl. It being my first time in an escape room, maybe I didn't realize how practical the answers to the hints are. My advice to anyone going on this experience is to think practical. The answers are right in front of you. We were not able to finish the puzzle. We barely got into the second room with ten minutes to spare out of the hour of time given to us. And the second room seemed to be a lot harder than the first room. But overall we loved our experience. Destiney was a delight and even gave me a parting gift as seen in the photos. Since i decided to celebrate part of my bachelor party there, they made sure to give me a gift which was a beautiful touch to my visit. Thank you so much, I will be back a married man one day with my wife to check out the lingerie section. Five stars !!!!!

This time, we did "Neverland," their most challenging room. So much fun! It was so immersive and creative. It's an expert-level room, but they also have easier rooms that are just as creative and exciting. Right when you walk into this place, you're transported into a fairytale. This family-owned business was voted Best of Las Vegas for a reason. It's just 1 minute from the Orleans Hotel, 2 miles from the Strip, and has easy, free parking.

Okay this is a novel so I'll start with the "Bottom Line": Love the concept and aesthetic,…read moreespecially as a family run business; very kind game master; would try the other rooms, but after the first one we did: boy, are we FRUSTRATED! We are escape room fanatics. Connoisseurs. Aficionados. Whatever word you want to use - we love this stuff. We've tried many escape rooms all over the US, to set a basis for this review. We were super excited to try OUAE. The website was adorable and from the get go, reservations were easy to make online. Given we were experienced escape room players, we chose the Neverland room, their most difficult room. The ambiance stepping into the lobby was bang on, felt like a darker, witchy corner of a Disney castle. We were pumped! On to the escape room itself... (Mild spoilers ahead, will try to keep this as vague as possible; if the business owners see this and are curious enough to want specific details, happy to chat separately). This room was supposedly difficult because some clues may apply to adjoining rooms. It certainly was challenging: we did NOT escape / finish (and usually we finish the hardest escape rooms in an establishment with a few minutes to spare), which is totally okay, but it felt less like we didn't finish because of the puzzles, and more like we got stuck on technicalities -- You know how it is: when the game master shows you the solve and you're like 'OHHHHH that's so smart!' and you are left nodding in approval and with respect over the ingenuity of that puzzle? Sadly that didn't happen here...: 1. On the puzzles applying to adjoining rooms, it felt like the puzzle mechanics were created first, then the theme was layered on top. The clues and how they were related across rooms felt clunky and forced. Some clues were either very ambiguous / unclear (mild spoiler: am a musician, I would definitely recommend re-drawing a clue completely), or totally broke immersion. 2. There's some non-traditional tech typical of escape rooms here (RFID, magnets, etc.). We had one puzzle we didn't trigger (which ultimately resulted in us not finishing) because of an RFID in a piece not being perfectly aligned. Felt like that was something the game master (who was watching along) should have overridden or nudged as this was a puzzle we "solved" and wouldn't have known to fix otherwise as we assumed RFID was aligned. 3. It was SO DARK. I totally get wanting to be immersive but man... there's an intro video in the beginning that tells you "we will give you everything you need, and you shouldn't use your phone, not even for a light..." HARD disagree. I needed a dang flashlight. We're in our 30s, I've had LASIK, my husband had his glasses on. We could barely see a thing, I can't imagine how bringing my in laws or someone else needing more vision support would have fared. We were carrying these lanterns around but they were flickering so much, it was practically useless. By the time we got to the second to last room, it felt so dark I didn't even want to try anymore. There's gotta be a theme friendly flashlight... Idk, maybe Tinkerbell's wand with a light at the end or something? All in all, ugh... was so sad, because I wanted to love this escape room so much! I think my husband and I would still try the other rooms just to see if our qualms apply to the others, but honestly, Vegas's escape room scene is getting more and more saturated, I feel like OUAE needs to get some of these basic things right to keep up. Again, I love that it's a family business, and I can truly feel their passion with fantasy and escape rooms. I just hope they'll continue to innovate their rooms to make gameplay more enjoyable for everyone!

The experience starts the moment you walk in. The lobby is spacious, beautifully decorated, and immediately gets you excited for what's ahead. The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to answer all of our questions about the different rooms, including the difficulty and scare levels. It looked like they had around 10 different themes to choose from, all designed to be completed in 60 minutes. Since we had younger kids with us, we chose the Scooby-Doo room, and it was the perfect fit. One thing I really appreciated was how accommodating the staff was. My mom needed a folding chair, and they brought one into the room so she could participate with everyone else instead of sitting out. Another nice surprise was that they gave us a clue checklist. We'd never seen that at any other escape room. It turned out to be a great tool for the younger kids, helping keep them engaged without giving away the answers. Honestly, if I were doing the room with only adults, I'd probably skip it next time for an even bigger challenge, but for families it was a fantastic addition. What really impressed me, though, was the attention to detail. There was a point where I just stood back and admired the craftsmanship that went into building the room. The sets, the creativity, and the puzzle design all worked together so well. You can tell a lot of thought and talent went into creating the experience. If you're looking for an escape room in Las Vegas, I highly recommend giving Escapology a try. Whether you're with kids, friends, or family, they've created an experience that's both fun and incredibly well done. 5/5 Stars. We'll definitely be back.
