Hahaha! Mother-son team made it out alive!

Hello Las Vegas! Wow! Forgot to write a review! Life got busy! So I was up in Vegas for a business trip and my son and I decided to check this place out on our last day there. We got lucky! So, usually, I suppose you should make an appt but they took us in. We wanted to do the Scooby Doo escape room but it was booked! That means it's super popular! So next time! But my son and I ended up choosing the stolen art escape room and it was so good! Just the two of us playing but we did pretty ok... and ended up needing a lot of help! Thank you to our host and escape room master Zaira20! And the lady in the front! We ended up solving the escape room with minutes to spare! How fun! A mother and son's first escape room together and we made a great team! Will definitely be back when we're in the area again! Thank you so much!

I absolutely love escape rooms, and I was thrilled to find a fantastic one close to home! We played the Arizona Shootout, which was quite challenging, but our amazing game master Patrick and host Catherine made the experience even better. We successfully completed the room and enjoyed asking for clues along the way. It was a wonderful time spent with family, and I'm excited to go back for another game. They've got a special tonight--50% off if you play another game--so we're gearing up to take on the Mansion Murder next! Highly recommend!

Edit: not sure who's manning their yelp page but Im pretty sure we did the Las Vegas escapology. See below for an email from them lol After doing 20+ escape rooms, the 2 we did here: Star Trek and Orient Train one were ok. The theme/decoration of the rooms were great but puzzle and content wise they were a 3/5. Star Trek: the lights and spaceship feel were cool but like others said, the escape rooms here lack a story tell feel and kinda just feel like your doing puzzles by puzzles without a connection. Sometimes we would complete a puzzle and it would take a while for the complete noise to sound or to even figure out what the next steps were. Overall, it wasn't the worst but def not close to the top. Murder on Orient Express: the theme of this room was great but one of the puzzles was just ???. This is supposed to be the hardest room and it was doable since they give u hints on the tv screen occasionally. I get that they want people to move along if they can't solve one puzzle but sometimes it felt like we were solving it and they just gave the solution which defeated the purpose.

We had so much fun at Escapology! I have only ever been to 1 escape room which was the Saw Escape Room. This was more family friendly and great for all ages. We did the Murder on The Orient express. It was not scary and it was super fun. It certainly was a challenging room but the details were so cool! Everyone in my group were first timers and they all had a blast. The inside of this place is so cool looking and the employees were all really nice. We had Marc and I believe Isaac as our Game Master and.... Host? I can't remember the titles (sorry!). They had to give us quite a bit of hints HAHA! But that's okay. It was so fun. Ultimately we failed, but they told us that was one if their more challenging rooms, so that made us feel a litrle better. If you're thinking about an escape room, I recommend this place. There are so many to choose from and it was so fun!

Super fun time! First time at an escape room and it was a lot of fun. Will do this again!

I don't know why they all picked loser signs... we got out in under 55 minutes!!

    Ask the Community - Escapology

Is this for children 6 years of age?

I think one 6 year old could have fun if they went with a group of adults/family. But it's definitely not meant for 6 year olds in itself.

    Is this for adults?

    Yes! :)

Do we have to pay when we make a reservation?

Yes you do, you can call in on (702) 359-0805 or book online https://www.escapology.com/en/las-vegas-nv/

    Should I make an reservation?

Yes, especially if you have a specific scenario you wish to play or are bringing a group.

Can anyone recommend a good place for dinner near by? This will be a team building event so it will be a big group.

Goldilocks Bakery is a few buildings over. Amazing Filipino food!!! Served family style.

What room is the best for team building?

Any of the rooms would be great, they all promote team building and teamwork to be successful. Our website has difficulty levels for the games, if you've never played before pick an easier one, if you have I'd pick a harder rated room. You'll have…

Can a 16 year old supervise 14 year olds without adult supervision?

From there website: We welcome players of any and all ages into our escape rooms, although we recommend our games for ages 12 and older. Anyone 14 or under will need to be…

Are there multiple rooms in each themed room?

We did narco theme and it was 3 rooms puzzle. I think all themes are 3 rooms to be solved in an hour

There are only three of us in our group. Will three work? Will we be placed with another small group of strangers?

Hello, You'll be fine with three people and all of our rooms are private so you'll never be paired…

Is it suitable for children? 10 and 14yr old! We've never done escape games before. Which room would you recommend?

Yes. They are not scary at all. Some rooms may have harder puzzles meant for an older mind but kids can still help search for clues. They are all fun, I'd try an easy one to start, the difficulty of each game is listed on the website.

What's the best and most popular game here? Can't decide for when we visit next month. Also how long is the entire process?

We played the Train one. There were six people in our group and every single one of us had a blast. I'm sure you will enjoy any puzzle they give you. It took us about an hour if I remember correctly. Great experience.

It's located off the strip which ultimately was the deciding factor. We booked the day before and still had plenty of availability to pick from. Since it was only 2 of us, we decided on "Chained" which made for a perfect date night activity. We were literally chained together the entire time which made it even more interactive. When we arrived, I loved how the entrance already was a light puzzle to get in. The staff were friendly and made it easy to navigate. We're already planning on coming back to try out a different room.

Number One Escape Room is located about four miles from the center of the strip. Plan accordingly,…read moreas it took us nearly 20 minutes to get there by taxi on a weekday afternoon. They have a quite a few rooms and we booked The Cabin, where you have to escape before the serial killer returns. This is a unique location as the entrance looks like a dry cleaning business. Once you walk in the front door, the masquerade continues, and you must solve a puzzle to gain entry to the main lobby. It's easy, don't over think it. The main lobby and hallways to the different rooms are somewhat dimly lit and decorated well. It gives a good vibe before you even start your room. There are lockers by the entrance door to store your belongings. We were greeted by our game master Angel who got us started quickly. Before you enter the room, the exterior is decorated just like a cabin and looks very realistic. Once you step inside the room, it is very immersive and again very realistic. All parts of this room are pretty dark, but you will have flashlights. There are some good sound effects, and since it is pretty dark, it is a little spooky, but not scary. There are a few jump scares, one part that requires a small crawl, and a tiny bit of gore at the end. There is a good mix of locks and mechanical puzzles. Hints are requested via a walkie talkie. This was a fun, very immersive room, and we escaped pretty fast with sixteen minutes to spare. If you escape early, there is a bonus puzzle you can work on with your remaining time. Their listed difficulty level of 3/5 is accurate. They have a very generous same-day rebooking discount that I think was around 50% off. The only room that was available at the time was Chained, so we gave it a try. This is a two person only room and is normally only $29 per person, so with the same day booking discount added, it is a steal. This was a very unique room. It is narrow, a little dark, and the two people sit back to back in large wooden chairs with your hands in shackles and chained to the other persons hands. All of the puzzles are within an arm's reach, but you have to coordinate your movements since the chains are only so long. I think I remember a few locks, and the rest were mechanical or physical puzzles. It is described as scary, but we didn't think it was scary. But there is a psychological factor being seated back to back and chained together the whole time. You really have to work together as a team since both people can't necessarily see the same things. Hints are given via text messages on a TV screen. We felt a little dumb in this one, and asked for a lot of hints, but we did escape with about five minutes left. The listed difficulty level is 3.5/5, but I'd maybe bump it up to 4/5. Angel was a great game master on both rooms, and gave timely hints as needed. We definitely kept him busy while doing Chained. Their rooms are very inexpensive at only $45 per person, even for only two people. And the Chained room is only $29 per person for two. Definitely take advantage of their generous same day booking discount and do a few rooms. They even have an option to rent out the whole building from 12:30am to sunrise, and your group has access to all of the rooms. Only in Vegas!

We found this place and called around 830pm. They were able to squeeze us in for a 10:30 pm appointment. I have never tried an escape room before so they popped my cherry on this experience. I was a bit timid coming in but everyone in the shop was extremely nice and had a good vibe. So it was easy to get comfortable. We came during happy hour which I believe helped our tab. For the three of us, it was $105 flat. After signing a waiver, and a quick presentation, we were given one hour to solve the puzzles and save our girl. It being my first time in an escape room, maybe I didn't realize how practical the answers to the hints are. My advice to anyone going on this experience is to think practical. The answers are right in front of you. We were not able to finish the puzzle. We barely got into the second room with ten minutes to spare out of the hour of time given to us. And the second room seemed to be a lot harder than the first room. But overall we loved our experience. Destiney was a delight and even gave me a parting gift as seen in the photos. We are escape room fanatics. Connoisseurs. Aficionados. Whatever word you want to use - we love this stuff. We've tried many escape rooms all over the US, to set a basis for this review. We were super excited to try OUAE. The website was adorable and from the get go, reservations were easy to make online. Given we were experienced escape room players, we chose the Neverland room, their most difficult room. The ambiance stepping into the lobby was bang on, felt like a darker, witchy corner of a Disney castle. We were pumped! On to the escape room itself... (Mild spoilers ahead, will try to keep this as vague as possible; if the business owners see this and are curious enough to want specific details, happy to chat separately). This room was supposedly difficult because some clues may apply to adjoining rooms. It certainly was challenging: we did NOT escape / finish (and usually we finish the hardest escape rooms in an establishment with a few minutes to spare), which is totally okay, but it felt less like we didn't finish because of the puzzles, and more like we got stuck on technicalities -- You know how it is: when the game master shows you the solve and you're like 'OHHHHH that's so smart!' and you are left nodding in approval and with respect over the ingenuity of that puzzle? Sadly that didn't happen here...: 1. On the puzzles applying to adjoining rooms, it felt like the puzzle mechanics were created first, then the theme was layered on top. The clues and how they were related across rooms felt clunky and forced. Some clues were either very ambiguous / unclear (mild spoiler: am a musician, I would definitely recommend re-drawing a clue completely), or totally broke immersion. 2. There's some non-traditional tech typical of escape rooms here (RFID, magnets, etc.). We had one puzzle we didn't trigger (which ultimately resulted in us not finishing) because of an RFID in a piece not being perfectly aligned. Felt like that was something the game master (who was watching along) should have overridden or nudged as this was a puzzle we "solved" and wouldn't have known to fix otherwise as we assumed RFID was aligned. 3. It was SO DARK. I totally get wanting to be immersive but man... there's an intro video in the beginning that tells you "we will give you everything you need, and you shouldn't use your phone, not even for a light..." HARD disagree. I needed a dang flashlight. We're in our 30s, I've had LASIK, my husband had his glasses on. We could barely see a thing, I can't imagine how bringing my in laws or someone else needing more vision support would have fared. We were carrying these lanterns around but they were flickering so much, it was practically useless. By the time we got to the second to last room, it felt so dark I didn't even want to try anymore. There's gotta be a theme friendly flashlight... Idk, maybe Tinkerbell's wand with a light at the end or something? All in all, ugh... was so sad, because I wanted to love this escape room so much! I think my husband and I would still try the other rooms just to see if our qualms apply to the others, but honestly, Vegas's escape room scene is getting more and more saturated, I feel like OUAE needs to get some of these basic things right to keep up. Again, I love that it's a family business, and I can truly feel their passion with fantasy and escape rooms. I just hope they'll continue to innovate their rooms to make gameplay more enjoyable for everyone!

The experience starts the moment you walk in. The lobby is spacious, beautifully decorated, and immediately gets you excited for what's ahead. The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to answer all of our questions about the different rooms, including the difficulty and scare levels. It looked like they had around 10 different themes to choose from, all designed to be completed in 60 minutes. Since we had younger kids with us, we chose the Scooby-Doo room, and it was the perfect fit. One thing I really appreciated was how accommodating the staff was. My mom needed a folding chair, and they brought one into the room so she could participate with everyone else instead of sitting out. Another nice surprise was that they gave us a clue checklist. We'd never seen that at any other escape room. It turned out to be a great tool for the younger kids, helping keep them engaged without giving away the answers. Honestly, if I were doing the room with only adults, I'd probably skip it next time for an even bigger challenge, but for families it was a fantastic addition. What really impressed me, though, was the attention to detail. There was a point where I just stood back and admired the craftsmanship that went into building the room. The sets, the creativity, and the puzzle design all worked together so well. You can tell a lot of thought and talent went into creating the experience. If you're looking for an escape room in Las Vegas, I highly recommend giving Escapology a try. Whether you're with kids, friends, or family, they've created an experience that's both fun and incredibly well done. 5/5 Stars. We'll definitely be back.

Such a fun experience! I'd say this game is more suitable for beginners since it wasn't too challenging, but we still had a great time!
