We always try to hit up an escape room when we are traveling to a new city. Purchased a groupon for this location and booked online to play the Agatha Christie Murder Mystery. Didn't realize this was their hardest room until check-in! Happy to say we finished the room with only 2 assists, which are easy to ask for and easy to understand (some places make it more difficult). Here's a quick break-down of our experience on Sunday 7/12/26: Located in a strip mall with ample parking. Good air conditioning, thankfully! Nicely themed, clean, well-maintained room, easy check-in and cute photo ops at the end. Next time we are in Vegas, we will try another room! Thank you! read more

Hello Las Vegas! Wow! Forgot to write a review! Life got busy! So I was up in Vegas for a business trip and my son and I decided to check this place out on our last day there. We got lucky! So, usually, I suppose you should make an appt but they took us in. We wanted to do the Scooby Doo escape room but it was booked! That means it's super popular! So next time! But my son and I ended up choosing the stolen art escape room and it was so good! Just the two of us playing but we did pretty ok... and ended up needing a lot of help! Our group of three completed the Star Trek escape room with only a few minutes to spare. We greatly enjoyed the level of detail to make it feel authentic. The puzzles were challenging, fun, & engaging without being too difficult. They matched the theme well. We also enjoyed the lounge while we waited for our gaming time. There were plenty of trivia and brain teasers around to get us in the right frame of mind. It was nice that the staff offer to provide a few hints should you get stuck but you also have the option to decline. read more

My fiance and I participated in the Scooby Doo room. It was silly, fun, and lighthearted; something we had been looking forward to, to unwind with. However, during the last puzzle of the room in which you had to decode symbols into numbers for the "lock" on the room, we found that the puzzle piece given to us was incorrect. When we tried to tell the attendant this via their "hint" button, she actively argued with us, and spoke over us essentially "mansplaning" the puzzle to us (even when we tried to tell her we understood how to complete it, but that the room's clue was in fact wrong). We ended up having to guess the missing number by just trying a different number each time until the door "unlocked". When we escaped, the attendant was waiting for us, and we had her walk through the puzzle herself to show her that it was wrong. When she did, and noticed that it was infact wrong, she did not apologize to us about how she provided her "customer service". Instead she said they would look into it to figure out how it happened. The whole experience of having to argue with the attendant that we were correct, and that they were wrong, left an extremely sour taste in our mouths and while we love escape rooms, we decided we wouldn't be coming back to this location. Hopefully the puzzle has been fixed by now for other players, but I am doubtful that their disposition/customer service has changed for the better. We played the Arizona Shootout, which was quite challenging, but our amazing game master Patrick and host Catherine made the experience even better. See below for an email from them lol After doing 20+ escape rooms, the 2 we did here: Star Trek and Orient Train one were ok. The theme/decoration of the rooms were great but puzzle and content wise they were a 3/5. Star Trek: the lights and spaceship feel were cool but like others said, the escape rooms here lack a story tell feel and kinda just feel like your doing puzzles by puzzles without a connection. Sometimes we would complete a puzzle and it would take a while for the complete noise to sound or to even figure out what the next steps were. Overall, it wasn't the worst but def not close to the top. Murder on Orient Express: the theme of this room was great but one of the puzzles was just ???. This is supposed to be the hardest room and it was doable since they give u hints on the tv screen occasionally. I get that they want people to move along if they can't solve one puzzle but sometimes it felt like we were solving it and they just gave the solution which defeated the purpose. read more

We had so much fun at Escapology! I have only ever been to 1 escape room which was the Saw Escape Room. This was more family friendly and great for all ages. We did the Murder on The Orient express. It was not scary and it was super fun. It certainly was a challenging room but the details were so cool! Everyone in my group were first timers and they all had a blast. The inside of this place is so cool looking and the employees were all really nice. We had Marc and I believe Isaac as our Game Master and.... Host? I can't remember the titles (sorry!). They had to give us quite a bit of hints HAHA! But that's okay. It was so fun. Ultimately we failed, but they told us that was one if their more challenging rooms, so that made us feel a litrle better. If you're thinking about an escape room, I recommend this place. This place is pretty cool! I'm an escape room newbie and this was only my second room (other one was a different business). I was impressed with the overall ambiance and mini games you can play while waiting. Definitely recommend signing your waiver ahead of showing up! Our room was apparently the more difficult there so that was fun! We did have one snafu during our game. A key lock was broken so they had to bring pliers in. No big deal! We got 5 mins added back to our clock because of how this delayed us. The puzzles are non linear, which I'd never done previously and they really make you think! Definitely challenging, but with a solid team and some hints you can definitely get through! We will definitely return! read more

Ooooh, Escapology. How you confound me... I am a lover of escape rooms. My boyfriend and I have made it our 'thing' to always do an escape room together when we travel. We happened upon Escapology when we were searching on Yelp. Some escape rooms in Vegas state on their website that they will add players to fill up an escape room. I detest this as A) I don't know their skill level B) I don't like looking frustrated in front of strangers and C) seriously... what?! Escapology on Sunrise City Plaza, 2797 S Maryland Pkwy, will not toss randos in a room with you, and that is why we chose to go here. It is not within walking distance from the Strip so you want to plan on either renting a car or getting a ride to this escape room. We have done Shanghaied, TH3 C0D3, Who Stole Mona?, Under Pressure, and Mansion Murder. I loved all these games, though, I have some issues with them. At some points in the games, the storytelling lacks and you're told a certain piece fits with a certain puzzle because 'those are the only things available.' These moments at Escapology drive me nuts... I think it's lazy... and yet... I'm determined to do the rest of the escape rooms here. This is because, after each escape room, you can collect a wristband. Once you get all the wristbands, you get a golden one, and darn it... I want it! The game masters are all kind and helpful. Each room we've done has had a mechanic we haven't seen before. The front-of-house staff are all pleasant and the video explanations are always really cool. We had such a great time! The room was challenging, but also not impossible to get through. The host and our room master (Marc!) were both very friendly and helpful, the rooms were designed and maintained very well. Overall, the experience was great for our family of four including two kids aged 12 and 10! My husband and I sifted through lots of reviews of escape room businesses and Escapeology had the best inventory of rooms. There were two other businesses closer to our hotel, but we opted for this one because of the storylines, trailers, and awesome quality theming. The price was great, too. We had a mix-up because we went to the wrong location in Town Square at first, but we called the S. Maryland location and they were able to move us to a later time at no extra which was much appreciated. The waiting area had really nice furniture and some puzzles to play with while we waited to go inside. At the end, we got to take a photo with fun signs, got some of those "LIVESTRONG" type silicone bracelets for our "Under Pressure" submarine room, and a card to return for 20% off! 12:30 Scooby doo 1/1/25 Probably the worst escape room experience I had and I had some stinkers having done 200+ rooms. First of all, I had a terrible greeting experience with the guy working not even acknowledging our entry. He was on a call but could easily held for 1 moment to say hi and where to sign waivers. It was only a taste of what was to come. After waiting longer than we should have the Room takes 5-7 minutes to start while we are locked in the room and the guy says over the PA "technical difficulties"-whatever. The room itself is comically bad. Barely put together, everything in disrepair. Theming is lame and no creativity in any of the rooms or puzzles which is surprising being a sponsored or tie in property. Got through it mostly fine until there were two puzzles that the GM was just not paying attention to. We had the right answer for both puzzles but there were technical difficulties that didn't fire off the reward. We sat there for 10-15 minutes of the puzzle with the right answer for both and the GM did nothing but send useless hints. Only after 10 minutes. This guy was barely paying attention behind the wheel. Needless to say we didn't make it but that is not the upsetting part, it's the laziness of the guy running it. Sheepishly shooed us out and that's it. Never coming back here, worst escape room ever and I played some incredible ones in middle of bumfrack Oklahoma. read more

While visiting Vegas, we were itching to do an escape room. My group and I consider this our expensive hobby. I'm terrible at explaining the different rooms without giving things away. So, I will just say the rooms are pretty cool, especially the themed ones. For this locations we have done: Murder on the orient express, Scooby doo, and a Santa one (seasonal). My kids had fun doing the Scooby doo one since it caters more for kids. If you love puzzles, I would suggest their other rooms. I would love to go back and try their more challenging rooms for sure. read more

LP from Sunday, 8/7/22. Found a good deal on Groupon and decided to do a family bonding event. Needless to say it was a great success. I picked Escapology as they had a Scooby-Door themed room which was great for the g-babys. Glad I did as they really loved it. We "escaped" with 3 minutes to spare. Yay us. The games-master Hayley was great and Pat, who took our photo at the end was awesome. All in all a great escape room, nice staff and the ample parking was a bonus. Wow!!! I recently started to get my boyfriend into Escape Rooms and we decided to check out Escapology. Escapology is located on Maryland/Sahara, next to a few local businesses like Player 1 bar, and several restaurants. The parking is spacious. I ended up getting a Groupon for Escapology Escape rooms Las Vegas for [4] people, but ended up just going [2]. Escapology, if booked directly on the site, charges $30.00 a person. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our start time at 6:50 P.M on a Thursday evening. It was fairly empty inside. As soon as you walk in, there are several iPADs to register your information to Escapology. Afterwards, we were seated inside until called. We participated in the Antitode. It is considered one of the easiest rooms offered. I thought the puzzles were innovative and pretty straight forward for the most part. You have 60 minutes to complete the escape room. At this location, you can use [3] hints, afterwards, you get deducted several minutes off of your final completion time. Also, there are several free hints throughout the game, so keep on the look-out for those free hints! The escape room has several [hand-placements] which means you cannot touch those particular items through-out the game room. Overall, my experience at Escapology was quite pleasant. Had such a good time at Escapology!!! Staff was super friendly, really nice game master, and the escape room was just fantastic!! My friends and I were looking for something to do late on a Monday night in Vegas (that didn't involve drinking lol) and decided to try out another escape room in the area. We tried to reserve online, but for some reason it kept cancelling the reservation at the last page. We went anyways with the understanding that we might be turned away. Fortunately, however, when we arrived, the staff kindly told us the website doesn't let people reserve online if the reservation is within 30 minutes and we were still able to get the room we wanted! Success! After checking in and signing the waivers, we waited around the lobby for the game master to get the room ready. The lobby itself is decorated like an old fashioned detective show, and it's got a bunch of fun puzzles and games lying around to help you kill time. Once we were brought to the escape room, it was really really cool. We did the Star Trek Escape Game, and wooooooo that was such a cool experience!! Everything from audio to indoor decor to even *movement* in the room really makes you feel like you're in a space ship. The puzzles are really cool and require good team work and communication. It's obvious this place puts a lot of effort and care into their rooms, to the set up to the actual gameplay, and the effort shows! This place was really cool and I had so much fun!!! read more

Went with a group of 6, some of us being our second experience in an escape room and others being their first. We chose Under pressure as we came her on a last minute whim and Murder Mansion and the Code were already booked for the rest of the night. With little to no experience on anything about the Navy or submarines we were able to make it to the final puzzle before time ran out. I do have to say that the staff at the front desk and our game master were beyond incredible from start to finish. Our game master explained the steps we missed to the final puzzle and we were so close. Everyone really enjoyed the experience and the challenge level for the puzzles. Next time we're in Vegas we'd definitely be up to trying another of their escape rooms here. Plus they offer a 20% discount for second time customers. read more

This place is amazing! My friend was in town and I just had to take her to an escape room since they are so fun. This place did not disappoint! I had never been to this one before and I was thoroughly impressed. The guy at the front was super informative and friendly. The decor in each room was intricate and had some great details. The puzzles were hard, but achievable with the clues. You get three clues to use when stumped and the game master would also send hints when we got stuck. We ended up doing 2 rooms because the second one is discounted. We actually beat both rooms! What a great time! I will definitely be back to try the other rooms. Highly recommend! read more

I only ever played these kind of escape games on my smart phone, so when the opportunity to play in real life arose, I was honestly a little skeptical. Questions like, how would it be possible to emulate the perplexity and strategic flow from digital to flesh? Well, Escapology succeeds. This was my first experience and I was surprised to find a place with great production value. From arrival, the lobby was splendidly decorated, the sign-in tablets user-friendly and organized, and the overall atmosphere set the tone for us budding investigators to solve our task at hand, The Budapest Express. My friend picked a non-scary theme just for me. Our game master led the six of us into the room, informed us of the basic rules, and started the video. The video provided the backstory of our case and was charmingly crafted. As stated earlier, production value is great -- the props and set decor make you feel like you're on a movie set. Wow... I forgot to update after my 3rd visit so I had to make sure to post after our 4th visit. This time it was me, my husband and 3 children (15,13,12). We obviously LOVE coming here since we come back. We have been to other escape rooms and none have been as awesome as here. The games are challenging and keep you on your toes. We love that the clues given are non- invasive so the mojo is not ruined. The employees have all been awesome! They truly make the rooms work so well. With as many people going in and out of the rooms one would expect them not to be so clean.But never have I walked out feeling like I needed to find the closest wash room. In town and decided to do some escape rooms, at this location we did Mansion Murder - 2 experienced players - we enjoyed this room, which I guess was listed as their hardest - we needed a nudge on something that I said "they really can't expect us to ____" and ignored. Well yes, they did. Nudge clarified that and set us straight. We really enjoyed the puzzles and the rooms in this one - Jacob was our host and Chyha(sp?) our game master. After we finished the place was closing and our uber was a whole 20 minutes away. After seeing us waiting outside in the 110 degree weather Selena (I believe was her name) cleared it with the manager to allow us to wait in the lobby. She was also great to talk to in regards to rooms, difficulty, our experience and helpful in plotting our next room to do the following day - hands down to her for superb customer service. read more

There are quite a few Escape rooms scattered throughout Vegas and we decided on Budapest Express because of the theme and some of the reviews. We were trying to find a room that the adults would enjoy but also be suitable for kids as well (under supervision). I've done over 30 in California and this was my first one in Vegas. We left the case unsolved but broke some cherries and still had fun no matter what. This Escapology location was easy to find off of Maryland and there was plenty of parking. There is also a barcade in the same lot if you wanna play more games and have a drink. There is definitely some curbside appeal with just the name of the place. Whoever sees it on the road would say, "whoa what's that!?!" And then inside you're like, "oooo!" They have a pretty loungey steampunk lobby. For COVID it looked like they were only allowing one group in the lounge at a time because it was roped up and our temperatures were checked as well. Masks are required to be worn properly before entering. The lobby also has hand sanitation spread out. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk to check us in. We later found out she was busy with another group and that she would be with us shortly. More Guest started to enter the lobby and it got crowded in the roped off area. Eventually the other group went outside and waited. Budapest Express is listed as one of their hardest escape rooms but we did it anyways. The max capacity is 6 but I it would do better with 4. It got too crowded and made the room a little hot. Our group had some first timers and some only have one escape room under their belts. I already knew we were probably not gonna solve this. We almost did too!! The production value is pretty great. You're only allowed 3 hints which are displayed on a screen along with the timer. Get a hint with a push of a button. You also get some free nudges a long the way to help steer you the right direction. The puzzles made sense. We had a clear idea what needed to happen. We gathered a lot of evidence...a lot! It is easy to misplace and mix match pieces of evidence when it's plentiful. Here, it is super important to remember where you found the evidence. Make sure you use the white board to record all your findings. Budapest Express is a fun first generation escape room to introduce to new players. I would definitely come back and try their other rooms. Part of the reason it did not get the 5 stars was for not having enough staffing to accommodate guests in a timely matter and helping maintain social distancing as guest enter to check in. Shoutout to the hardworking Game Master doing everything on her own during that time. The other part of the reason is the strict rule of 3 hints followed by a penalty (deducted from the clock). It's great for your more experienced competitive players, but newer players may feel defeated after the loss due to these penalties. Our group was soo close to solving the case but these penalties got us. The main goal is to simply have fun! I'll be back to play their other rooms! Hopefully Escapology could expand to other locations in California in the future. read more

I've come here on my last two trips to Vegas now and both times were a great experience. Rooms are designed well. Easy process and staff was nice. They are helpful if you fall behind and we've gotten out twice now right before the end. I'd come back again for sure. Antidote and mansion murder are checked off our list for now! Third time's the charm! Escapology is the third escape room business I've been to and the first one I've successfully made it out of- not that it was any easier than the others. Experience here was so positive that I've now been by twice, once with coworkers as a team building activity and another visit as a date. If you successfully make it out, you get a group photo and a jelly bracelet as your prize, with record times kept on an online leaderboard, and a discount card for your next visit! The two rooms I've done so far are Narco (you've been kidnapped by a drug lord and need to find the evidence to put him away) and Antidote (search a mad scientist's lair to cure a deadly virus)- both rooms were well organized with high-quality decor and design for a convincing experience. The puzzles and riddles were difficult but not impossible to figure out, they made sense rather than just being deliberately difficult. Made it out of both rooms but with 5 minutes or less to spare! The two things that stand out most about this business are the attention to detail to create an engrossing experience and the customer service- a game master is watching you while you solve the room, providing nudges as needed and providing feedback so you don't get totally stuck on something minor. We had a great time here at Escapology in Vegas. It's just as good as the one in Portland. The rooms are well designed and the puzzles are challenging.
