Mashed potatoes
Charmie C.

Excellent meal here - sirloin with potatoes. Generous portion, steak was a perfect "medium" as requested. Well-timed arrival of meal from when order was placed. We were very pleased with our food!

Food and service to notch. We had a little bit of everything literally! Clam chowder was amazing, had a couple fresh clams as a garnish. I felt like it was a deconstructed version which was put together in the bowl. It had a little bit of everything because of this. Thick cut chunks of crispy bacon, potatoes etc. We had the duck liver pate which was rich, spread like butter on warm bread. The beef tongue was good but wasn't a fan of the texture The filet and veal chop weee cooked perfectly. We tried all the sides, each side is enough for 2 people to share, we had leftovers for a midnight snack!! The price, we can't get over. The amount of food/drinks we ordered for what we paid blows my mind. Great value.!

Meatloaf mashed potatoes and vegetables

Old fashioned steakhouse with lots of flavor. We started by sharing the wedge salad which was a huge portion with really big pieces of bacon and great ranch dressing loaded with blue cheese. We ordered the bakery bread It arrived warm, crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. We had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and the meatloaf dinner. Both were wonderful, especially on a cool evening. Our server, Lisa, was efficient and knowledgeable. We didn't order drinks but the drink menu was extensive.

Very good steakhouse with large sides, although they are a la carte. But it's great to only get the things you like and none of what you don't. Great portions at low prices. What else can you ask for? Their bread is slightly weird though.

Filet, mashed, mushroom, string beans

He was curt and rude to us and we even heard him speaking rudely to other staff (possibly the chef). He even suggested that another party go elsewhere for dessert, because he didn't think what they offer is good (!)... When he came to our table to take our order he just stood there and said okay - not what can I get for you, or anything remotely polite. He also seemed to be in a hurry the entire time, despite it not being busy. It was easy to hear him questioning other staff in the back about their scheduling for the rest of the day, as if he was too important to be there. This restaurant would be nothing without the women preparing the food, and they should be respected by everyone working there.

When we arrived, there was only one person a white man working -- hosting, serving, and handling everything. It took a long time just to get seated, and even longer to place our order. I had the Khao Soi Gai. When the food finally came, my chicken was cold and the noodles were hard and undercooked. I asked for it to be fixed, and while the dish came back warmer, the noodles were still hard. The server says i'm not mad at you i'm mad at the people who work in the back. He asked have you had these type of noodles before? Of course I did but not at this restaurant . His excuse was egg noodles tend to be firmer . At that point, I gave up on the meal. The server did remove it from the bill. Despite everything, when I paid, the server made a smart remark that came off as rude and unprofessional, the server made a sarcastic remark about the tip -- as if 20% wasn't enough. If I knew he was going to get snarky about it, I would've left zero tip ! I won't be coming back !

Our waiter was exemplary and could teach classes in the art. For an enormous table of 3 generations, including several teenage boys, we not only felt welcome and special, we also felt very, very well fed. The menu was extensive and loaded with fresh fruit, veggie, meat and seafood. I think our family ordered nearly everything and we raved about it all. I appreciate the sensitivity about food allergies and found many nut-free options. The zero proof menu was broad and the local beers were fantastic. The venue is beautiful and has a very nice outdoor space, deck area, bar area, and then restaurant seating inside. There is a subtle but effective soundproofing on the ceiling. There are 2 all-gender single stall bathrooms that are tidy and spacious. Overall, it was a fabulous experience and I can't wait to go back for the fall specials!

Since it was our first time we decided to try a little of everything. We had 3 apps to split, oysters, salad, duck special. We had the udon noodles with pork belly and pork special for entree. Desserts sounded amazing so we did one of each, crème brûlée and profiteroles. The glass crack on the brûlée was awesome, and super creamy cold and refreshing! If you are I. Since we were driving from Cambridge to Egremont -- about three hours -- to celebrate a special occasion with friends who live nearby, we called to ask whether they could make an exception. The manager gladly did. A few hours before the reservation, however, the OWNER called and brusquely informed us that they do not take reservations for parties of four and that "maybe they could accommodate us," before launching into an unnecessary lecture about their 5+ policy -- essentially cancelling our reservation. Why do that to your customers? Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. When we arrived, he was again rude and dismissive, seating us at a tiny table in the corner of the bar that was clearly too small for dinner. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, rescued the evening, and moved us to the main dining room, where we ended up having a wonderful night with our friends. She also checked in throughout the evening to make sure our experience improved, and her professionalism genuinely turned things around. As for the food: we ordered the Smoked Fish Pate appetizer, the Grilled Salmon, and the Artichoke and Goat Cheese Ravioli. The pate was exceptional -- layered, balanced, and memorable. The salmon was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and refreshingly not buried under heavy marinades. The ravioli was also excellent. Dessert was a rich chocolate cake that capped off an otherwise delightful meal. The decor, service, and overall comfort were all A+. This easily could have been a five-star evening, but the owner's unjustified hostility convinced me that this is not a place I would return to.
