I have been coming to the Berkshires every Fall for several years. The food scene is sketchy at best, especially in Great Barrington. Turnover is high. Restaurant hours are like a game of wack-a-mole. Random days closed. So after finding No. 10, I was thrilled to find that they are open 7 days a week at 5pm. Unheard of. I made a reservation for one and was warmly greeted by a lovely young lady who sat me in a cozy nook. There seemed to be many repeat diners. This is a steakhouse. Why I didn't get anything derived from an animal, I don't know. My server was Marisa and she was attentive throughout my meal. I ordered the Number Ten Fall Salad - delicata squash, dried cherries and pepitas on a pile of greens. It was tasty. I also ordered one of their Steakhouse Sides, the macaroni and cheese. Oh my. Many trips around the sun eating and making mac and cheese and this mac and cheese was the worst mac and cheese I've ever eaten. Dry. Un-cheesy. Tasteless. So if you eat here and order any side, choose a different one. Ambiance. Staff. Five stars. Salad. 3 1/2 stars. Mac and cheese. One star. But, thank you No. 10 for at least being open in a spotty dining town.

Excellent meal here - sirloin with potatoes. Generous portion, steak was a perfect "medium" as requested. Well-timed arrival of meal from when order was placed. We were very pleased with our food!

Food and service to notch. We had a little bit of everything literally! Clam chowder was amazing, had a couple fresh clams as a garnish. I felt like it was a deconstructed version which was put together in the bowl. It had a little bit of everything because of this. Thick cut chunks of crispy bacon, potatoes etc. We had the duck liver pate which was rich, spread like butter on warm bread. The beef tongue was good but wasn't a fan of the texture The filet and veal chop weee cooked perfectly. We tried all the sides, each side is enough for 2 people to share, we had leftovers for a midnight snack!! The price, we can't get over. The amount of food/drinks we ordered for what we paid blows my mind. Great value.!

Old fashioned steakhouse with lots of flavor. We started by sharing the wedge salad which was a huge portion with really big pieces of bacon and great ranch dressing loaded with blue cheese. We ordered the bakery bread It arrived warm, crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside. We had the ribeye with mashed potatoes and the meatloaf dinner. Both were wonderful, especially on a cool evening. Our server, Lisa, was efficient and knowledgeable. We didn't order drinks but the drink menu was extensive.

Very good steakhouse with large sides, although they are a la carte. But it's great to only get the things you like and none of what you don't. Great portions at low prices. What else can you ask for? Their bread is slightly weird though.

Our waiter was exemplary and could teach classes in the art. For an enormous table of 3 generations, including several teenage boys, we not only felt welcome and special, we also felt very, very well fed. The menu was extensive and loaded with fresh fruit, veggie, meat and seafood. I think our family ordered nearly everything and we raved about it all. I appreciate the sensitivity about food allergies and found many nut-free options. The zero proof menu was broad and the local beers were fantastic. The venue is beautiful and has a very nice outdoor space, deck area, bar area, and then restaurant seating inside. There is a subtle but effective soundproofing on the ceiling. There are 2 all-gender single stall bathrooms that are tidy and spacious. Overall, it was a fabulous experience and I can't wait to go back for the fall specials!

It had an interesting "crispy" olive topping...delicious. I had the Korean BBQ ribs, with dirty rice and peanut, satay-like crumble. Had just a bit of heat, not as much as i would have expected. The dirty rice/peanut crumble was excellent. on the side there picked onions and pickles, could have had a bit more to balance the overall meal. Has a sophisticated, country vibe. It was definitely well executed, and higher end dining.

We arrived for our reservation and were offered a very small two-top. Because we were dining with our dog, we politely asked if it would be possible to wait for a larger table where she would not be in the way of other guests or staff. We were not demanding a different table -- we were told it would take approximately 30 minutes for another table in a different section to become available, and we happily said we were willing to wait. We sat quietly outside with our dog while waiting. The owner then approached us and told us that waiting for another table would interfere with future seating. We were surprised by this, as we had simply accepted the wait time that was provided to us and had not caused any disruption. The interaction escalated when the owner used profanity toward my husband and threw the water bowl that had been provided for our dog in our direction. We were shocked by the hostility and left without eating. We completely understand that restaurants have to manage reservations and seating, and we would have accepted being told that our request could not be accommodated. What was unacceptable was the way we were spoken to and treated by the owner. We came here excited to spend our money at this restaurant as part of our trip, but we are grateful that Great Barrington has many other excellent establishments where we were welcomed and happy to spend our money instead. Unfortunately, this experience was the opposite of the hospitality we expected.

Couldn't bring himself to apologize. Here's what you endure: 1. Waitress brings a carafe of water but no glasses. You have to ask twice. Later when soup is dropped off you have to wait for the server to return so you can ask for a spoon. 2. Lots of specials are no longer available. Then why are they still on the board? Your waitress lists what they're out of so you decide to have the sandwich. "We're out of that too." OKAAAY 3. You want a salad without nuts and you indicated that when you made the reservation and the menu says clearly "Please notify your server if you have any allergies." Your waitress says it's not possible to make accommodations. You have to ask three times before she puts in the order. 4. You've been enjoying cocktails--which are great--but it's been an hour and food still hasn't arrived (it's 8:45 and restaurant is mostly empty). Your busser shows up to see if we're done and need any more plates taken away. No, you politely say, you need your entrees. 5. You wonder aloud for the third time if your server has left for the night. 6. You're not offered dessert or anything else. You can't wait to leave a place you used to love. You won't go back.

Wish we hadn't eaten all the pita they gave us so quickly as it would have been even more delicious together. I had my usual, a Traditional Gyro with a Greek Salad on the side, a perfect choice. The salad was the best I have ever had. One of my sons had the Berkshire Club, which he was very happy with. He could only eat half so we took the other half with us, and it was still good as a shared breakfast the next morning. My other son had a Salmon Burger and a Greek Salad, which he ate all of. We didn't have enough room for dessert at the restaurant, but we had to try their traditional Baklava, so we ordered a piece to-go to share. It met all expectations. The service was satisfactory, nothing memorable, but pleasant. We had no complaints and would love to go back again.
