This poor girl was running around, busting her ass, trying to serve a packed place during March Madness. If the owner reads this review I hope he comes to realize the benefits of investing in your employees and not overworking them to the detriment of the employees, the customers, and the business. Stopped in for some quick beer and snacks and to catch some of the game. The inside is much bigger than I thought it was and we grabbed two spots at the bar right in front of some tvs. The bartender (and server) Sandy was super friendly and prompt, even though she was taking care of everyone. Big beers for a pretty good price--1 liter of Bud light for $13 and 1 liter of Pizza Port Amber Ale for $17. We had some Jalapeno Bottle Caps for $10; wish the oil had been a bit hotter, but the size of the order was much bigger than that I thought, so that was positive. This place is so close to our house; we'll probably stop by again to watch some games and grab some beer. We might even give their pizza a try again. read more

How do you mess up pizza it was so flavorless, the crust was like cardboard. My kids chicken fingers and fries were so greasy it was DRIPPING. She's 4 and wouldn't eat it. Went in with my family and friends for my 30th. The Server/manager was named Maddie? ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. From the second we walked in. She throws the menus on the table. Is absolutely rude and has absolutely NO experience on how to give customers reasonable service. We believe she had a problem with someone at my table (not my problem!) if the owner of numero uno saw how there (GENERAL MANAGER) so she says, as someone who comes from a family of running the restaurant industry my entire life. I told her at the end of how bad the customer service was, and she told me to get out of the establishment and that I am banned. I exchanged some words that might not have been the best. I would highly suggest you tell your general manager, Maddie to not tell customers to suck her Di** She wasn't a fan of my attitude. A bit butthurt after working a long day in Long Beach to place a pickup order on my way home (deep dish cheese pizza) and after I picked up I realized they gave me a thin crust pepperoni, mushroom, and pineapple. Where do we start here? Only about a half dozen people in there on a wed. afternoon at about noon. Not the best sign......I assume. A few "friends" had said they loved the place so figured I'd give it a shot. Ordered a couple beers and they were not real tasty. I'm guessing either dirty lines or just old beer. They do have 30 taps of crappy beer to pick from so I'm sure they don't get much rotation. Now to the food. We ordered some kinda cold sandwich and a small pizza. The pizza kinda reminded me of the old school numero uno we used to visit up on Devonshire west of balboa, way back like 40 some years ago. The crust was not as light and yummy, but it was ok. The sandwich on the other hand looked and tasted like it was from a gas station in Gallup, NM. Nothing wrong with that, but I wasn't in New Mexico so I was looking for a lil more. Get the bill and was shocked at the price, it was like $45 for such a subpar meal. My hofbrau beer was $11 PLUS tax for "16.9" ounces of beer. GTFO. I know what that 50L runs from breakthru and the owners should be ashamed. I can only imagine what they charge for a sculpin because that 1/2 barrel is WAAAYYYY more than the hofbrau. Just don't! Go to Chili's over on Fallbrook, at least they give you a 22 ounce crappy modelo and only charge you $5.50. Sorry to say, but I won't be coming back! It's just not that great. Pass! As the final addition I spoke with my two friends that said it was good AFTER I visited. One of them said they went back again after the first visit and it was not good. Been driving pass this place for over a year now and finally decided to give it a try. Walked in around 8pm on a Friday and all of the tables except for one was occupied. The bar top was pretty wide open. There was only 2 servers working so I wasn't expecting service to be great. Luckily, we didn't need much so it wasn't a big deal. Just don't expect your drinks to be refilled in a timely matter. They have a bunch of beers on tap written on a chalk board and prices start at $9 and goes up to $17. I ordered a large deep dish and also the lobster ravioli in pink sauce. It took about 15-20mins for the food to come out, which was expected. The large has 8 slices and it was pretty big. The pizza wasn't as tasty as I thought it was going to be. The cheese was stretchy and a very thin spread of sauce (if there was any) with chunks of tomatoes. The dough was a typical deep dish dough, but had a sweet taste to it. I have to admit that it kind of grew on me. The ravioli was pretty bland with very little sauce. I might come back to try their NY style pizza, but I am not getting my hopes high. I can see this being a great place to watch a sports event as there are a bunch of TV's mounted. Four of us went in for a quick dinner last Saturday. We ordered a salad, sliders, and two sandwiches. There weren't very many people there. It took 25 minutes for the salad and the sliders. It took 35 minutes for the sandwiches which had hardly any fries. I asked the server why it took so long for the sandwiches and she said because they were made fresh. Well I should hope so! She got angry and rude and said we could go eat elsewhere. We had to be at a play at a certain time and this caused us to be late. A terrible experience. The depth in their variety is all pro. Yep, you can even Go Deep on their beer selection. We went full on eclectic, finishing the meal with a slice of traditional CHEESECAKE that was outstanding. TESTIMONIAL: We loved their pizza so much we ended up coming back and ordering two larges as our offering for the potluck Christmas party a few days later. I wanted to try this place for years because it is close by. The woman who took my order on the phone was super friendly and the food was ready on time so I appreciate all of that. The Interior is dark and dingy, looks like a drinking spot. The salads are really good but in my opinion, the pizza is subpar at best and very expensive for what you get. Honestly the frozen pizzas at Ralph's are better. Friendly service bumped this up to 3 stars. If I do come back, it will be solely for the salads. read more

Very sad to have to update this and reduce the rating, but the other recent reviews are unfortunately accurate. This place now has the feel of a dive bar and the service has gone way down. Tried to place an online order yesterday and it went through but then said there was a problem and I needed to call... tried calling for 20 minutes straight and got a busy signal. Finally had to drive down there only to be told (with attitude, like it was somehow my fault) that they were having problems because a staff member went home sick so they weren't taking online orders and had taken the phone off the hook. When I asked why they sent me a message to call instead of just cancelling, they went and looked in the system and said that my order wasn't cancelled, but it wasn't ready... I don't get it, this is just terrible service. What if I hadn't driven down? Despite all this, I was going to wait for my order but then noticed that most of the staff (including kitchen staff) were not wearing masks, and with another staff member being sick, it just seemed too risky. Told them to forget it and left. The place was full of customers, packed to the walls. Very loud. No one was checking vaccination status. I watched a coughing customer go to the fridge and help himself to a beer (unmasked, sticking his head in the fridge). Last straw was the Nazi sign on the front... I'm sorry but comparing the mandate for vaccination and COVID restrictions to the regime responsible for the holocaust is not funny or acceptable.
