First time going to Jon & Vinny's, my daughter raves about it all the time when going to the studio city location. Greeted immediately and we went during slower hours which I recommend. One has to consider peak times with difficulty getting reservations. Sat on porch which was nice, my daughter first time at this location which she loved. The back area is huge which is wonderful. Staff is super friendly and k formative, menu is simple and quick to the point. I ordered Blt breakfast sandwich and my daughter got the Nutella pancakes along with a vanilla matcha . Pricing is medium which is worth it, delicious and tasty. Andrea was our server and she was great, funny, and attentive. Only thing, They were out of ketchup, but no biggie the Blt was amazing without it. Parking on street and local shops around. Old town Calabasas area which is a plus and great stores all around. We loved it so much we made another reservation while there! Make sure to get a reservation far in advance as they are all gone for weeks. Kenneth our waiter was great. He let us know that the food comes out as it's ready. It also comes out pretty fast so make sure you have all your drink options squared away. Some have said the pasta portions were small, they are on the small side but the spicy fusilli was packed with flavor. All the dishes were not scared of a little spice and the right amount of salt. Sometimes I find Italian places make dishes so bland, not here. The Bronx bomber pizza was outstanding. I like the burnt spots but was on the borderline of a little too much. Meatballs were solid, really enjoyed the sauce but a little pricey for just two meatballs. The music was great and you could actually hear it, at least inside. Looking forward to coming back in a few weeks to try some more dishes. read more

Had an amazing experience at Jon & Vinny's in Calabasas! From the moment I walked in, the service, atmosphere, music, and overall vibe were all on point. You can tell the team is very well-trained and genuinely cares about creating a great experience for their guests. The food was phenomenal. I had the roasted beet Greek salad, bruschetta, broccolini pasta, and finished with the banana bread for dessert. Everything was delicious from start to finish. A special shout-out to Michael, the manager. He was extremely kind, welcoming, and hospitable, and we had a great conversation. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in the restaurant and his team, and it definitely shows in how well the restaurant is run. Highly recommend Jon & Vinny's Calabasas. Meeting friends for lunch at noon on a Friday. Unfortunately, too warm out to eat on the patio. We were seated indoors in the back near the open kitchen. On the plus side, our server, Gustavo, was friendly and helpful. That's it for the positives. The negatives: Parking is non-existent. The only option is the valet ($7). The booth we were seated in (and all of the booths as far as I can tell) are bench seats that become fairly uncomfortable after a while. The noise level in our area of the restaurant made conversation a challenge. I shared a mushroom pizza ($23). A 12 inch thin crust pizza that was OK at best. Two of my friends got salads which were huge and they felt were excellent ($23). No free parking, unpleasant ambiance, and meh food at high prices for the area. There is little all eight of us agree on. With so many good restaurant options in the area, we all agreed that none of us are coming back. read more

I was hearing rap tracks from the late 90's, early 20's that I had not heard in a LONG time that really brought me back to some better times. - multiple servers checked up on us to make sure our dining experience was pleasant - great food (we had the little gems pizza, peach salad, Corn Agnolotti, and Affogato). The oil in the salad was such a standout. Me and my partner absolutely love Jon & Vinny's! You can imagine our excitement when we found out they opened up a location in the valley. We usually go to the Brentwood or Fairfax locations. This location felt so inviting and spacious compared to the others. Our waitress was so attentive and made sure our food came out quickly & was super fresh. We ordered spicy fusilli (classic), radiatori pesto, garlic bread with parmesan, and our favorite pizza: little nats! Everything was so flavorful. Pro tip: if you order the little nats pizza, ask for a side of honey and drizzle it on top of the pizza. It compliments the flavors SO well. Can't wait to come here more in the future! read more

I tried making an 11:30 a.m. reservation online, and when that showed unavailable, I tried 11:45 with the same result. I'm not sure if it was a glitch or if those times were actually booked, so we decided to walk in. The first thing we noticed was a strong smell of eggs throughout the restaurant. We decided to overlook it, but then the host told us they couldn't seat us because the available table was reserved for a reservation arriving an hour later. Meanwhile, the restaurant was nearly empty, with around 20 open tables. As someone who worked as a host for years at a much busier restaurant, I understand how reservations work. Good hosting is about balancing reservations and walk-ins, not leaving tables empty for an hour while turning away paying customers. We ended up leaving without eating. I've become aware of a local conspiracy to write disparaging reviews about this place because the other restaurants are scared about going out of business, so be aware that most negative reviews are lies. The location is STUNNING, the food is absolutely top notch and the service is like a 5 star hotel. The waiters are attentive, they felt like personal butlers. Also, I need to know what type of diffuser they're using because the restaurant smells fantastic. It goes without saying the food is best in class and I'd recommend the meatballs, the spicy fusilli and the ham and eazy pizza. Listen.... IYKYK. Soooo happy they opened here in Calabasas. Our family went for lunch and even though they just opened, they really have it together. We frequent the one in Studio City and honestly their dishes mimic the ones they're exactly. Their zucchini and meatballs are a must try. Promise you won't be disappointed. Also, their pizzas are thin and crunchy and absolutely delicious. I can rant and rave about their pasta dishes to no end, but you can't go wrong with any of them. Our favorite is the spicy fusilli, spaghetti, Limone and the corn Agnolotti. Again, like I said anything you choose... you cannot go wrong. We ordered the Brooklyn's Dodger pizza which was good. I would pass on the chicken parm (big let down on flavor) and the ricotta ravioli was very unimpressive on portion size and flavor. I was very excited for the opening. Food was pretty good. Arugula salad did not look fresh. Biggest complaint is the $9.50 charge for a soft serve VERY SMALL cup. That is ridiculous. An item that (to me) should be an easy - yes, we will get this for the family as a nice treat. But now, never again spending almost 50 dollars for a family of five to have a small portion of a swirl. My family & I ordered the house salad, fried zucchini, the margherita & skyy high pizza, spicy fusilli & chicken cutlet. No complaints. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection & came on time. The matcha was great too. Unless I am in Japan I make my matcha at home because nobody can get it right but their bartenders clearly know what they're doing as well. We are THRILLED that Jon & Vinny's has come to Calabasas! We have ordered twice already for delivery and can't wait to dine in. Our Marguerita Pizza was simple and pure with great ingredients, perfect crust and the tomato sauce was yummy. The penne Broccolini was so good as well and so surprised the pasta was not over cooked which normally happens with delivery. We had an 11:00 AM reservation but never even got to eat because the parking situation was such a mess. We spent over 30 minutes trying to find parking after multiple people, including staff, told us there would be valet. There was nobody there, and no one could tell us where it was or when it would start. I understand there's street parking and parallel parking sometimes (there was absolutely none today), but if your business says there's valet, it should actually be available when reservations begin. We ended up leaving and going to Porta Via instead, where parking was easy and the service was great. On our way back, we drove by and saw the valet stand and umbrella had just been set up after 12:00 PM. They lost our business because of the disorganization. Won't be coming back. Go to porta via instead. Better bang for your buck too. read more

terrible experience. went there sunday I ordered a gem salad and got 4 lettuce leafs I was hungry so I asked server for bread and he said we dont serve bread, he didnt even tell me I could buy bread just dismissed me. I ordered a glass of sparkling wine and when it came after 20 minutes it was about one sip I kid you not for $14.00 then the fuzzuli pasta came and you literally could count the fuzzuli without even using a fork maybe 18- 20 on this tiny tiny tiny saucer I guess the saucer had to be micro tiny . My wife ordered a pasta and again it was tiny and not even cooked even mine was rubbery I mean absolutely garbage food. I paid the $150.00 bill included tip and went home and had to cook a burger I was still so hungry and I'm not even a big eater at all. The first time in my life I walked out of a restaurant more hungry than I went in. I'll never go again. I know there are a lot of good reviews but this place is more of a cultural hangout for millennials to them this is cool, but not for me. read more
