We had not been to pitfire pizza in years and unfortunately, we had remembered it being much better. Service was friendly, and the food did arrive quickly, but the quality was poor and the food arrived cold. They seem severely understaffed and the place was filled with gnats, unfortunately not worth returning again.

The food was excellent as it always is, as was the ambiance, but the service tonight wasn't as great as it usually is. Maybe since it was late at night, but the team was very non-communicative and less hospitable than usual. The only part of my meal I didn't love was the pesto drizzle on top of the brussel sprouts - it was a lot more pesto than I was expecting and I'm not a huge fan of pesto. Luckily the pizza and cheesy knots helped.

Mom and I came here for the first time recently. We took advantage of the Happy Hour menu and I suggest you do the same to try out different menu items for a fraction of the price. We ordered the chicken wings and it was basically tiny chicken strips drizzled with sauce. The flavor was ok but the tiny strips were a let down for someone expecting bone-in wings. The margherita pizza was really delicious and full size. I'd definitely order this again. Shoutout to Evan whose peace and kindness is felt palpably in any room she's in.

We ordered the Honey Bear and the Field Pizza. The Honey Bear has that perfect spicy-sweet balance with the Calabrian chili and honey, and the Field Pizza is a mushroom lover's dream with the fontina and thyme. But the real star is the dough--it has that perfect artisan char, a light airy chew, and enough structural integrity to hold up those fresh toppings. If you're a pizza purist who cares about the foundation of the pie, this is a must-visit. Pitfire is officially in my top tier.

I'm bummed to write this review because I was really excited to try Pitfire Pizza. The pizza is terrible! There is barely any cheese or toppings at all. The crust is very wide and is nearly half of the slice. The crust was very dough-y and thick while the rest of it, under the toppings is thin. Even though it was thin, it was soggy and soft. My wife ordered extra cheese on hers and even with the "extra cheese" it barely had any cheese at all. Don't waste your time or money here. It's not worth it. Tomato Pie down the street is much better!

This was the first time my family had eaten here. It's a very casual restaurant and perfect if you want decent Italian food without having to deal with reservations. The restaurant is very large and offers many seating options (patio, booths, lounge furniture, bar, high tops), and you seat yourself. The method to ordering is straight forward, just order at the bar. Food is delivered to your table. Drinks are self serve and so are takeout boxes. The kids meals were a little small in portion, but good quality pasta. The pizzas are also tasty and fresh. I can't find anything wrong with this location other than they don't validate for the parking structure.

We absolutely love pitfire pizza! Jessie, the manager is amazing at coordinating parties, fundraisers, and making us feel welcome. We come here all the time, the food is amazing, we love the indoor or outdoor with heat lamp options for seating. It's casual, but you can also feel free to dress up and make it a fun dinner place for a date! Highly recommend coming here, you will love it!

I went to Costco to get eggs and stopped by to get a take out pizza . Then Luke told me about the happy hour . The pricing was half off . So I ordered 2 . Fantastic deal . And I will return . I like bargains and good karate kid ambiance .

I LOVE that pitfire has sourdough crust pizza. So perfect! And it feels so much lighter compared to most pizzas. Very unique flavor combos available. My go to pizza is the honey bear pizza which has ricotta, mozzarella, provolone, sausage, honey, calabrian chile, and bee pollen. Their cheesy knots are very satisfying as well. If you're a huge meat fan, try the sausage party! Pretty large seating area inside and a few tables outside as well. Tends to get busy especially towards the night. Good place for groups. Their staff has always been helpful and friendly too. I will definitely keep coming back, especially since it tends to be easier on the stomach.

Edit 10/27 The manager has reached out to me via Yelp and offered us a gift card so we can give it another chance. So that's appreciated. Original: Pizzas tasted great. It took a long time to get it because the day we went on a weekday they were understaffed. Everyone looked like they were working on it but things were just difficult for them to keep track of. They forgot about one of our pizzas and we had to keep following up. It took 30-40 mins at minimum to get our food. I hope they figure out their staffing issues. Honey bear pizza is yummy. Burrata pizza was also excellent. The pesto on burrata was a bit oversalted for my taste but thankfully it was a thin drizzle. Didnt love the "cookie dough crumble" dessert , because we were expecting a hot cookie (like the p'zookie at BJ's restaurants) but instead it was vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream and a thin sprinkle of cookie dough bits which was very disappointing. We assumed it was going to be a full warm cookie with ice cream sundae on top.

Amazingly good food! Cheesy knots, rigatoni pasta, honey bear pizza, Brussels sprouts--fav was the cheesy knots! Combination a self order but food to your table LOVED the ambiance, mainly because it was a quiet night but really chill atmosphere, relaxing, don't feel rushed Service was pleasant, quick but we never got refill on our water minor point Highly re!!

Great artisan pizza made quick with simple ingredients. This location has a chill vibe, with booths, high tables, bench seating and lounge chairs on the inside. Outside is a covered shaded area with several tables and chairs. A bar in the center of the restaurant is where you place orders. I started with a glass of the a sangria, ted wine based and well balanced. For pizza the pepperoni and mushrooms was the choice. The pizza came out quick, the server brought the crushed peppers and parmesan cheese so I was all set. Grazie!

Another 5 star experience! Came here on a super empty stomach for dinner so we ordered pasta, pizza, and a side (Brussels sprouts). We also ordered two drinks (a beer and the froze). The drinks and food were amazing and the service was excellent. The vodka pasta was 10/10 and so were the Brussels. The Brussels were a twist on elote and so so good. You can also never go wrong with the honey bear pizza! I love how it is casual dining but the food is comparable to higher end restaurants. I love the assortment of cocktails as well. This experience had me wondering why I don't come more often!

I always get a slice first, and if it's really good, I'll come back for more. If not, I move on to the next place. Today happened to be one of those move on situations. I went with the Boston Sicilian slice. Right away I noticed the slice had been sitting in the counter display for a while, and I was hoping they wouldn't give me that one, but they did. They popped it in the oven for a couple of minutes and brought it out. The slice actually had a nice amount of marinara, ricotta, pesto, and melted cheese, and there was a little olive oil that added some nice flavor. The crust had a good crunch on the outside and stayed soft inside, but it wasn't as thick and airy as a traditional Detroit-style pizza. The dough also had a noticeable sourdough taste. Overall, it wasn't a bad slice, but it definitely wasn't a great one either. I think if it had been fresh out of the oven instead of sitting on the counter display, it probably would have been a much better experience. For me, it was just an average slice, and not one I'd go out of my way to come back for.

That's where D Town Pizzeria fills a niche. This takeout-centric spot was opened by Metro Detroit native Ryan Ososky and delivers a whimsically premium take on 'zza. Since opening, D Town has competed in the International Pizza Competitions in Las Vegas, achieving the title of World Champion in the Pan Division with an on-menu $100 pie decked with Japanese A5 Wagyu and black truffle oil. Nowadays, D Town operates locations in West Hollywood and Woodland Hills. My partner and I visited D Town in Topanga Social. Briefly, this premium food court in the Westfield Topanga mall boasts trendy outposts from some of LA's most popular eats, such as Amboy and Katsu Sando. Bright light pours down on indoor trees, making the space feel like a greenhouse. Classic rock echoes around the wide open hall. A variety of seating options, from single spots to 10-person tables, are scattered around the space. Each vendor pops out from the sophisticated but muted background of green, grey, and brown. D Town's stall features cool lighting against zigzagging subway-tiled walls and a shelf packed with cubic pizza boxes. Orders can be placed online in advance, or you can browse through vendors in the shared ordering tablet. We ordered our Motown Meat Pizza 20 minutes in advance, and it was ready when we arrived. The cooked-to-order pie was split into 4 heavy slices, which was plenty reasonable to satisfy 2 moderate appetites. Highlights were the ooey gooey cheese (complete with an excellent cheese pull) and the fabulously crispy crust. The bacon jam provided a welcome addition of sweetness to cut an otherwise uber-rich flavor profile. The toppings were fairly distributed. On the whole, the pizza was enjoyable, but the ingredients seemed more standard than premium. The service was transactional, and our bill neared $30 ($25 for the pizza and $2 for each a la carte sauce). Among the relatively few Detroit-style pizzeria options in LA, D Town is among the best, even if the price is less than palatable. If you have a specific hankering for pan pies, then D Town will admirably fit the bill.
