We lost our Vet a few years ago to an unexpected death and thought we would never find another one to replace her. Well we have found a group of ladles at Dry Creek Vet that can't be beat. They will always greet you with a friendly hello and warm smile. I had a rebate coming to me from a product I had purchased and they kept dragging their heels but thanks to Margo who went about and beyond I got that rebate. Thank you Dry Creek Vet for taking care of our fur babies and making us happy once again to find a vet and staff we can trust and feel comfortable with. He was incredibly difficult to understand, possibly that his English wasn't that great. It's disappointing when they talk to you. It's very transactional, like I couldn't afford to take care of my dog. The vet tech, however, was incredibly friendly and outgoing, and a very pleasant man to deal with. If it weren't for him, I would give zero stars for this place! The front desk lady made me pay for a service before they would do it and before knowing that there could've been more added to it, I would've had to made more than one transaction on my card. The front desk lady didn't even say goodbye as I left. No wonder why it was easy to get an appointment the same day that I called. Lastly... This place sold my email address and without my consent! Ever since I have been getting bombarded with emails from some company named koala insurance, that partners with Dry Creek!

I was a client of this practice for approximately three years, and unfortunately it took an issue…read moreinvolving the renewal of one of my cat's medications for me to finally question a pattern I had become accustomed to. My cat takes methimazole for his thyroid and has his levels checked every six months to monitor his dosage. His most recent results were normal. When I later requested his medication refill through an outside pharmacy, Stonelake refused to refill it because they said he also needed a total health bloodwork panel every six months to ensure his organs could tolerate the medication. I was told this additional testing should have been done when his thyroid levels were checked in July, but that a "system glitch" was the reason it hadn't been addressed at that time. What bothered me most was that this wasn't presented as a recommendation, it became a requirement when my cat needed his medication. They only agreed to fill a one month supply until I got the additional bloodwork done. I ultimately sought a second opinion/care from another veterinarian, who explained that additional comprehensive bloodwork isn't a bad idea and can certainly be appropriate if his previous bloodwork showed other things that needed to be monitored routinely, but they did not consider it an automatic requirement on top of his six-month thyroid level monitoring. That experience was a lightbulb moment for me. Throughout the three years I came here, I frequently felt that visits involved additional products, services, tests, or treatments being recommended. As a pet owner without veterinary training, you depend on your veterinarian to clearly explain what is medically necessary, what is recommended, and what is optional. Looking back, I don't feel those distinctions were consistently clear. Recommendations often felt tied to preventing my pets from suffering, which made declining them feel irresponsible. Since changing veterinarians, I've begun learning that some things I had been told were simply untrue and used as a way to get my pets into the office more often than they needed. That has been incredibly disappointing after trusting Stonelake with my animals for three years.

Anyway, today 7/14/26 an employee named Samantha aka Sara who is so sweet and was always there for Scruffy and me on all his past visits and today 7/14/26 3 employees really helped me during this time of grief. A dark haired Samantha helped me today by saying Scruffy, knows how you feel right now, he knows...and, I totally believed that as well and, as I arrived home a song was playing and I heard, "I know, I know and how ironic I heard that just as I was getting out of my CRV. We came in at 4:30 pm and were told we would not be seen for at least another 45 minutes, despite the fact we had an appointment. Parking is terrible and we had to park at Walgreens. We only needed a simple Rabies vaccination. We could not wait another 45 minutes ( at least) so we rescheduled the appointment. On Tuesday 7/8/25 , we had another appointment set for 5 pm for a simple rabies vaccine. We arrived before 5 pm, checked in and were told once again it would be another 45 minutes despite the fact that we had an appointment. Their excuse for two weeks in a row was "emergencies". Something is wrong with their appointment system and needs to be analyzed and fixed. We could not wait another 45 minutes and neither could others who said they had been waiting a long time and could wait no longer. We had to walk out because we nor others could not wait any longer. Unfortunately we will be changing Vets to someone who can manage their appointments better.
