The dogs were terrified and needed to get vaccinated and chipped before we sent them to Canada. Annie's tiny paws in Canada contacted WAR directly, requesting that we send them ASAP to provide disabled veterans a Christmas miracle. Veterans would receive dog training to help them regain the ability to live independently for the rest of their lives. The community rallied around and supported the cause. They also provided financial support to transport these dogs to the new rescue in Canada, at no charge. I have to say the veterinarians and staff at Country Oaks provided Christmas miracles to these Veterans' families and their dogs by quickly addressing all their medical needs before transportation on December 20, 2025. We thank them all for them for providing what we call "The Christmas Miracle"

I didn't catch the female doctor's name, but she spent maybe no more than three minutes with us before immediately recommending numerous additional tests and procedures, including urine testing, stool testing, X-rays, and an ultrasound, even though our dog's lungs were clear and her main symptom was mucus in her throat. Throughout the visit, we felt dismissed rather than listened to. After seeking a second opinion from another vet, we learned it was allergies, which made the experience even more frustrating in hindsight. We also had to call back just to get the name of the medication that had been prescribed perviously, and even then it felt like the information was given reluctantly. That being said, the vet tech, who I believe was named Taron, was kind, professional, and compassionate throughout the visit. She was the one bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience.

First, the kennel is a field trip away from our house, but it is well worth the ride. The area, and the grounds are amazing! Lots of room, shady trees, outside kennels, and fields for the dogs to run. The inside kennels are spacious and clean, with heated floors. My Max is still young and crazy, but Patti had him eating out of her hand during our first visit to tour the kennel. When we went back for his stay, he walked right in without looking back. They provide food, but we took his regular food in a bucket for them to use. They also provide grooming and training, and this is definitely our go for upcoming travel and family events.

We came in at 4:30 pm and were told we would not be seen for at least another 45 minutes, despite the fact we had an appointment. Parking is terrible and we had to park at Walgreens. We only needed a simple Rabies vaccination. We could not wait another 45 minutes ( at least) so we rescheduled the appointment. On Tuesday 7/8/25 , we had another appointment set for 5 pm for a simple rabies vaccine. We arrived before 5 pm, checked in and were told once again it would be another 45 minutes despite the fact that we had an appointment. Their excuse for two weeks in a row was "emergencies". Something is wrong with their appointment system and needs to be analyzed and fixed. We could not wait another 45 minutes and neither could others who said they had been waiting a long time and could wait no longer. We had to walk out because we nor others could not wait any longer. Unfortunately we will be changing Vets to someone who can manage their appointments better.

We called Jeri and she was extremely willing to work w/our rescue. The first time we took Charlie, we were greeted immediately and warmly. The check-in was easy and the staff were very accommodating. Charlie immediately felt right at home. He walked into the kennels w/out a second thought. Jeri kept us updated on how Charlie was doing and how well he was doing. By the time Charlie was picked up, Jeri had nicknamed him "Sweet Charlie". The second time we had to kennel Charlie, Jeri had no available openings. However, a day later, she called and said someone had cancelled and asked if we wanted to take that spot. I said, "YES". This time, Charlie jumped out of the car and couldn't wait to get inside. I highly recommend Badger Creek Kennels. Jeri and her staff are very kind, not only to their two-legged clients but it is obvious their four-legged clients are well cared for too.

Our dog had TPLO surgery and while the procedure is not inexpensive, we found their estimate to be middle of the road and the experience performing the procedure to be the most extensive. They were really good with our girl and so far, the results have been better than expected. The location is right off the I-5. It's easy to find and to park. As far as I could tell, it was the closest location in our end of the county to receive overnight care (as opposed to having a traveling animal surgeon perform the procedure at a local vet office and sending her immediately home) for TPLO.
