Prices are fair and appointments are pretty quick. I haven't been to many vest but I know this one is much better then those huge animal hospitals that overcharge for everything

If I could give Dr. Summers and her team (Katrina) more than 5 's, our family absolutely would... This was the hardest decision to use these services but She made our decision and 1st in home euthanasia experience a very peaceful one. Our 14 year old lab (Roman) will truly be missed and we appreciated her warmth, compassion and care saying our goodbyes to him. She was very tender and loving and explained each step of the process and we are grateful to her. Katrina was also very helpful and made this process an easy one to schedule as well. Thank you Dr. Summers & Katrina for all your help!

The decision to euthanize a beloved pet is never an easy one, but having the option to do it at home makes the process suck a little less. I had to say goodbye to the cat of my life last month after he declined rapidly and suddenly. It was by no means a decision I had imagined having to make at this point in his life, he was only 12 and had been healthy up to this point. After a dramatic last couple weeks of his life trying to figure out what was wrong with him (emergency vet visit and overnight stay, and a visit with his regular vet) it was discovered that he more than likely had cancer and his lungs were continuing to fill with fluids despite being drained. I had scheduled the at home euthanasia for a Saturday morning, hoping to have one more night with him after bringing him home from his normal vet that Friday morning. I quickly realized that putting him through another night in his current condition was not fair to him and I was worried I'd have to take him to the emergency vet to be euthanized. I emailed Dr. Summers and asked if there was any possibility she'd be able to do a same day visit and by some miracle she was able to come that same day. Dr. Summers made one of the hardest days of my life suck a little less with the compassion and care she showed for my sweet boy, Gandalf, and also the kindness she showed me. I am so thankful that his last moments were as peaceful as they could have been given the circumstances, and I could tell he was at peace as soon as the sedation medication was administered. I am so thankful that I made the decision to do an at home euthanasia and the compassion and kindness that Dr. Summers carry's herself with during these painful moments.

After my friend highly recommended Sacramento Valley Veterinary Services I reach out Dr. Summers got back to me immediately since it was a Sunday I wasn't expecting to hear back till Monday but she didn't hesitate she contacted me right back during non business hours, and walked me through the process of a home euthanization for my precious baby girl. I made an appointment for her to come out and last minute my dog took a turn for the worse and Dr. Summers was able to fit me in. She came out and was so compassionate and re-explained the process and gave me and my family the time we needed. Even though the process was heart breaking she made it easier. Our baby girl passed in peace at home where she was most happy.

Thank you Dr. Summer for your kindness yesterday when we had to make one of the hardest decisions of our lives. I can't repay you for your calm presence during Charlie's passing. You helped me process more effectively.

After much thought and consideration, my fiancé and I decided on at-home euthanasia for our baby boy. Our friends recommended Sac Valley Veterinarian. I was skeptical at first and couldn't help but think about the impact it would make on us afterward, thinking about that most difficult, heartbreaking moment happening in our house. I realized it was not about us and it was about him, how peaceful it would be for his last memories to be at home and not at some scary veterinarians office like our past dogs. I called SVVS and they were very friendly and understanding. They were able to accommodate us the next day, giving us time to say goodbye and share some special moments with our baby. Dr. Summers kept in contact with us and texted with her ETA. Dr. Summers was very helpful, explaining each step of the process all while being most compassionate. We felt this was the best decision we could have made. As agonizing as it was to let go of Boo, knowing he was in the comfort of his home surrounded by the ones who loved him most, it was the most peaceful and accepting way to say, "See you later." Dr. Summers made the whole process as painless as possible. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, despite the reason she was there in the first place. The one thing on the business side of it all was the delivery of my pet's ashes. The woman who was making the delivery texted us late afternoon, asking if we were available in between a certain time frame in the evening. We stated we would be available (after moving plans around) and she would see us then. Originally, we said we would not be free as it was very late notice and asked if we could pick up instead, to which she replied she could leave it on my porch. For any old package, sure. We felt it was insensitive and not very sympathetic to suggest something like that for this. We had waited for her past the time frame she told us earlier. After about 20 minutes after the time, I texted her asking if she was still coming and she said she would be there an hour after her previous stated time. I would typically not be bothered by this, however she did not give us an update saying she was going to be an hour late. I understand this is a business and things happen, but it is also a very emotional and delicate business as well. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone seeking end-of-life services for their pet. We are so glad this was an option for us. Thank you, Dr. Summers!

I scheduled a hospice consult for my sweet 13 year old lab and received a quick response with a call from Jennifer. Even though I never met Jennifer, I felt like she was holding my hand during the whole process. When it was time for our hospice consult, Dr. Chandler came to our house and assessed our boy along with going over quality of life. She even gave him a treatment before she left to see if it would help his mobility. After the consult, I received a very thorough email from Dr. Chandler giving me a breakdown of my dog's prognosis along with some treatment options. She reached out to other mobile vets on my behalf and provided helpful links for every option of care that she gave me. Jennifer also followed up to check on Oakley to see how he was doing. When it was time to make the decision for me to let him go, I texted Dr. Chandler (after hours on her day off). She still responded. She came out a couple days later to our home and we were able to give him a peaceful goodbye on our lawn, which was his favorite place. Dr. Chandler treated Oakley with such care and dignity from start to finish. Jennifer also called me again to check on my wellbeing a week after we said goodbye. Dr. Chandler reached out to me on a Saturday to let me know she had Oakley. He was ready to return home. She worked with us on getting him back and even went as far as matching the tissue paper to the color of his fur for the packaging. She also included a beautiful dog card along with his name which was handwritten. It lays against the paw print and clipping of his hair she gave us. I hope I provided enough details as to why Love Always is not only the best, but the only option I would ever use when having someone take care of my beloved companions.

She was not in pain, but her condition changed minute to minute--sometimes worse, sometimes better--depending on progression and medication response. Deciding when to let her go was incredibly difficult. What I knew without hesitation was that, due to her severe stress at the vet, I did not want her final moments to be anywhere but home. Unfortunately, securing an at‑home appointment isn't always easy, and my biggest fear was that her condition would suddenly decline and I wouldn't be able to get someone to my house in time--forcing her last moments to be spent frightened at a clinic. Dr. Conner completely removed that fear and stress. She worked around our needs, scheduled appointments with incredible flexibility, and canceled or adjusted them without guilt or pressure. Her number one concern was always my little girl's comfort and dignity. That flexibility gave me the greatest gift anyone could offer in this situation--the ability to make the right decision at the right time, without the added stress of trying to force such a deeply personal moment into an external calendar beyond my control. Dr. Conner's compassion, patience, and understanding meant everything to us. I will forever be grateful. Dr. Vine was very punctual the day of and gave us a thorough breakdown of what to expect (pain reliever, anesthesia, and euthanasia). We didn't feel rushed at any point, and we were given ample time before proceeding to each stage. She was very respectful and the process was smooth. After the euthanasia, we were able to choose where we wanted the fur clippings. The paw print was perfectly imprinted with Christy's name, which added such a sweet personal touch. We chose to pickup Christy's ashes at Sage, and it was quick. The only thing is it felt very jarring going to an animal hospital filled with so many people and dogs. Considering this was only 2 weeks after the euthanasia, I was still grieving and it was difficult being in that environment so soon. The only feedback I'd give is it'd be more mindful if there was a separate pickup location away from everyone else for more privacy. Dr. Vine sent a sympathy card as well and it was very sweet. Thank you so much for giving Christy such a respectful experience and having her pass comfortably and peacefully. I will definitely recommend this organization to loved ones! Thank you Dr. Vine for such a smooth experience. You made this process much easier and we were able to focus on grieving afterwards. Rest in peace, sweet Christy!
