This statement means something as I operated a design/build firm for 20 years and in that time worked with many different tile contractors, none of which were even close to the quality of Horizon Tile. Prior to meeting with Clinton for the first time on my job site where I was owner-building a custom home, I had received bids from 3 other tile contractors. Clinton was very different to all of them in that he took a lot of time explaining his process and his focus on detailed work, making it clear that his goal is always for his work to last a lifetime. I was very impressed with him and found his very respectful and believable. I was under time pressure to get into our new home before the full onset of the winter rains so when Clinton told me he needed a month for two full bathrooms (with lots of detail in the tile) and two entry areas, I almost decided not to work with him as most of the other tile contractors had stated around two weeks. However, everything else impressed me so much that I decided to see where his bid came in, fully expecting him to substantially more expensive than the others-quality work always cost more! To my pleasant surprise Clinton's bid was in the middle and although a few thousand more than my low bid, I felt sure that the quality of his work, his attention to detail and his commitment to lifetime quality made my decision for me. Horizon tile arrived to start work as scheduled and stayed on the project everyday fully focused on their work. Together with his family member Jeremy they made an awesome team. Every time there was a design detail, they called me in to make sure that I was happy with their decision and never took anything for granted. The working relationship between the two was really special and it was obvious that they enjoyed working together and took lots of pride in their work. They were also very respectful to the other subs on our site and offered help whenever needed always being very generous with their time. They were particularly considerate of us at all times, something sadly missing with so many other subs on our site. Clinton had bid the tile work in s standard lay pattern and once he started layout planning, he offered a brick pattern layout which I knew from years in the business was a more costly although more attractive design layout. I was on a tight budget and told him that I did not want to spend the extra money to which he replied that it would be no extra cost, something I had not anticipated nor expected. Their work was impeccable and I could not find a single thing to complain about. When he thought he may run over his initial month time line, he offered to come in on the weekends to stay on schedule. I reminded him that I had asked for extra work and he originally did not allow for a brick pattern layout which takes more time and that I was fine if he ran over a few days. In the end he finished pretty much on his original time line. Their work was fantastic, we loved having them work on our home and out of 13 subcontractors, Horizon tile was the very best by far. I highly recommend them and can say without any doubt that they were worth every penny I paid them and more. Plus, they float shower and tub walls to make sure everything is plumb. When the measurements were taken for the shower doors, the glass company was very pleased with how level and straight everything was. Tim is easy to deal with and very accommodating, just a really nice person. The one downside is his inability to judge when he will actually get in to do the work. Whether it's because he's really bad at estimating time or because I'm just a single person (not a building company) and my job continually got bumped (?), his estimate of 2 months (which is a long time to wait) turned into 6 months. Still, after seeing the end result, I'd wait a year for him - it would just be nice to know a date for sure to be able to plan for it better. Both bathrooms are stunning - thanks to Tim and his crew.

We hired him to prep and repaint our house that is only a few years old, but the paint was already faded and we had many butt joints that had not been prepped properly. The builder had done a terrible job using cheap paint, and Travis was able to fix several areas where they had cut corners. Our house now looks beautiful, but more importantly, we're confident that all areas are painted, joints are all caulked properly, and that the project was also done right, using quality paint that will last for years. In addition to his skill and knowledge, Travis is also a nice person, as is his crew. They showed up on time, did what they said they were going to do, kept a tidy workspace and cleaned up after themselves. I would absolutely recommend them for any paint job. Last month we purchased a home in Grants Pass which was built in 1904 and renovated about thirty…read moreyears ago. Overall, the house has been well maintained, but the 600+ square foot front room was considerably out of flat and wall-to-wall carpeted. I called Lippert's, knowing they are in the carpet business, to ask about a referral to someone who could pull up the carpet and see if maybe it was covering an original hardwood floor that could be refinished. It turned out that they deal in all types of flooring, not just carpets, and - long story short - they had a crew out within a few days, removed and disposed of the carpet and pad, and exposed the undulating floor, which was an inch out of flat in areas. After advising us of our options, we agreed to have the floor flattened, a combination of grinding down high spots and building up low areas. As of today we have a beautiful new Canadian maple hardwood floor with no noticeable deviation from being perfectly flat. The entire project, from first contact to completion, has taken about three weeks, and it cost no more than recarpeting. We can highly recommend Lippert's Stephanie and the father/son craftsmen Andre and Isaac. These guys know their business and kept our best interests top-of-mind, their suggestions were spot-on!
