This place was a one-stop shop for any certifications, classes & even a resume workshop! Bettie is amazing in revamping my resume & cover letter. I love the way Jane taught her classes. She breaks things down so easily that you can grasp the idea right away. They will do their best to help any nurse find a job! Wanted to wait to add a review as I wanted to prove that Taking the Maternal/Baby classes for opportunities in L&D nursing was worth it. And i proved myself right. I took classes and received help for resume building in August of 2019. Lo and behold, i was asked for interview for my Dream Job in Labor and delivery about 2 months after the classes :) Timea and Jane were Awesome! They really did prove that if I took classes with them, i would FOR SURE land my first hospital job. I dont regret flying from San Jose to Costa Mesa! The reason why I removed one star is because I was disappointed as things were not followed through as I was told it would be. I was emailing in regards to help with my resume, but i never got a response back :( good thing, Marcus was able to hand me A career building brochure that helped alot. I originally came across NEO on Facebook and that was the best thing that could've happened to me. I was officially able to receive an offer from a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as a new grad registered nurse. This specific hospital only had one position available in their NICU and I was fortunate enough to be the one to receive the offer. I started going to NEO for their Fundamentals of Postpartum Care and Neonatal Assessment. I took these classes and the Fundamentals of NICU course with Jane. She was extremely helpful in breaking down each concept so that all students were able to understand the information and be able to apply it in the clinical setting. After the initial classes, I took the Baby-Friendly course with Timea and learned valuable information that I would be able to apply in a postpartum or NICU environment. The true icing on the cake was taking the Nurses Career Builder course with Bettie. I learned exactly how I needed to format my resume and highlight key information that would assist me with standing out. I would always have trouble with writing cover letters, but Bettie gave me the information that I needed in order to break it down and write an excellent cover letter. After meeting with Bettie to follow-up on my resume and cover letter, we spoke of my portfolio and how I would be able to hand this out to nurse managers. This was the best decision I could've made because my portfolio is what truly made me stand out to the clinical director from the NICU. Learning at NEO allows me to be educated with an abundance of knowledge without the stress.

I very recently had a job offer that required me to get my ACLS and take an EKG interpretation course asap. While searching around, NEO came up and I loved that they had so many available dates, and I was able to book what I needed easily. I took the basic to intermediate EKG interpretation and was taught by Jane. She was very patient and genuine and made the hours go by so fast. She made a previously difficult subject so much easier to digest. And after coming home from my day with Jane, it felt amazing to understand all the rhythms I was looking at. I'm happy to say that I passed my facility's arrhythmia exam, and I could not have done that without Jane! As for ACLS, it was my first time. I was mixed with others who were just renewing, but it actually was not intimidating at all. CJ Moon was the instructor and she made us all feel comfortable throughout. I was looking for a place to take my NRP skills test and most places in the OC charge over $100. So far, Nurses Ed has the cheapest rate that I know of in the area. It was super easy to sign up. You can call or register online for a specific time slot. You shouldn't worry about the class being cancelled. I know this because I was the only one scheduled for my class. Overall, the skills test went smoothly and the instructor is very knowledgeable in her material. She was able to go over the algorithm to help review for the test and answer any questions that you have. The people here are friendly and I highly recommend anyone to come here to any re-certs or certifications. read more

As a nurse, we are always confronted with stress in our work. We wanted sometimes to feel stress free and easy going with our daily work at home, at work and even just to renew our certificates and renew our skills. But with NEO, all of my worries and anxieties were taken off, each time i go there to renew my certificates. I took my Basic Fetal Heart Monitoring class here on a Saturday morning with Timea! From the time I signed up to take the class to the end of the class session, everything was so simple! Their website is easy to navigate, and I had no trouble finding out which dates were available at this location for this class. Once I signed up, I was emailed a receipt and the next thing to do was show up for my class the following week. No one wants to go into a classroom on a Saturday morning at 8 am, but Timea was absolutely one of the BEST instructors I had at one of these certification courses. The class itself was extremely helpful! Being a new graduate registered nurse, coming to these classes always made me feel nervous. I would be in a classroom full of seasoned nurses, but Timea definitely made this class super fun and explained everything in such a simple way, that I learned pretty quick! I will definitely be coming back to take any future certification courses at NEO in Costa Mesa, CA. TIP: (for Basic Fetal Heart Monitoring) - The price of your class comes with a book that you will be using in class - Plenty of practice fetal strips - Free granola bars, water, and diet coke - Awesome staff!! read more

I've been a long time customer of NEO, renewing my certifications there over the last ten + years. Have had the pleasure of attending BLS/ACLS recertification class with Jane, Borianna and CJ over the years. I have enjoyed each instructor's style of teaching. I have appreciated the fun, interactive learning environment injected with lots of humor and laughter. Learning at NEO is truly FUN and promotes retention of information. I have also benefited from the accommodating class schedules. There are many classes offered to fit anyone's schedule, weekdays and weekends, various time offered as well. Right now with the Covid restrictions in place, there are many safety practices in place at NEO: social distancing within the class room/office area, smaller class size, mannequins and other equipment wiped before and after each person demonstrate their skills as well as mask use the entire time and temperature checks on arrival. I felt completely safe during my class and felt that NEO was doing everything can to keep students safe. I will continue to use NEO for my recertification needs and encourage anyone to give them a try. You won't want to go anywhere else! read more
