If you want a workout that is going to leave you crawling back to your car, Da Factory Crossfit is not for you. I have done other crossfits and have walked out of their place physically exhausted that I was not able to raise my arms; Da Factory never left me with that feeling. If you YouTube Da Factory Crossfit you will see some of the routines crossfit gyms use. Sadly, most of the workouts Da Factory shows you are not done by their regular crossfit members; these workouts, which are separate from your regular crossfit membership, are for their team performance members. The majority of the time spent at Da Factory is talking. The rest, is spent doing a warm-up routine and brushing up on a skill with a PVC pipe. Da Factory insists on familiarizing different skills each day. I understand this is useful in order to prevent injuries when performing each workout, but it is not necessary when it is not even part of the workout for the day. You do not expect to be holding a PVC pipe for 15 mins when you are paying $125 a month to workout. If they want to teach us how to do a proper lift they should do so before the routine. After all the skill talk and warm-up, there was less than twenty minutes for the actual workout. One of their workouts lasted only 12 minutes. I would not recommend checking out this facility with a Goupon. As a Groupon member, I was treated differently than the regular paying members. They made me feel like I was trying to milk them for it's worth when I questioned one of the coaches about the terms on the voucher. Groupon members are stripped of their right to register for classes online and only full paying members have priority. Requests for classes were made through a coach and depending on availability, I was notified whether I had been placed in a class or not. Sometimes they forgot to e-mail me to confirm my class registration. I have decided to give Da Factory 2 stars and not 1 because of two of their coaches. They were passionate and genuinely interested in teaching me; they made sure I was working out properly. I think Da Factory has a lot of potential but first they need to treat everyone equally (this goes for giving everyone the same work out and allowing your Groupon members to choose their own classes online). They also have to kick their workouts up a notch and stop boring people to death with the daily skill talk when it is not part the WOD. Have the talk once a week and get back to what crossfit is supposed to be--bringing people to their knees and within inches of throwing up.

This gym has the potential to deserve 5 stars, but unfortunately, I can only give it 1…read more There are a few major issues: 1. $26 maintenance fee -- for what? The equipment and weights are not properly taken care of. The floor can literally be a tripping hazard, weights are constantly left in the wrong places or not reracked at all, and the overall upkeep does not reflect the maintenance fee members are being charged. 2. The gym does have some quality equipment, mixed in with some Panatta machines that, in my opinion, are nowhere near the quality you'd expect from a gym charging this much. 3. $90 a month is hard to justify. For what this gym could potentially be, I wouldn't mind paying a premium price if the equipment and facility were actually maintained like a premium gym. Instead, it seems like money is being spent on things like a massive Jumbotron while basic upkeep gets overlooked. 4. The cancellation process is ridiculous. Make sure you cancel at least a FULL MONTH before your next charge. Calling the front desk isn't much help either--you're met with poor customer service, no manager available on site, and usually a teenager at the desk who can't do much to resolve the situation. This gym has so much potential, which is what makes it even more disappointing. If I'm paying around $90 every month plus additional fees, I expect the facility, equipment, and customer service to reflect that price. Overall, it's not worth the money if your priority is training on quality, well-maintained equipment.

They have everything from 7 and 8 foot walls, inverted and tilted walls, a spear throw station, an Olympus, Twister, monkey bars, ropes, 400lb tires, and rings. I signed up for a free class online since I was only visiting. The staff and members couldn't have been more welcoming! Coach Chris and David were so helpful, offering so many tips for approaching various obstacles. Just with their careful coaching, once daunting obstacles became a cake walk. It was a blazing hot and humid evening, but their 1-hour class quite literally replicated an actual Spartan race -- 4 miles total with various obstacles and exercises sprinkled throughout. It was quite the challenging workout! Killer! I wish I was able to make it out to one of their free beach workouts offered on the weekends at 7:30am and 8:30am at the Cadillac Hotel, but unfortunately bachelorette shenanigans make it difficult to wake up early. XD Know that they are an elite facility! They don't just offer an OCR program either. They have defense and HIIT style of workouts. They even have an awesome kids program which teaches them ninja and acrobatic type of skills. Little Haiti is nearby and a very troubled neighborhood. They work very closely with the at risk youth there by offering a safe haven to them. The facility is otherwise in Little River and towards the back of a co-op of buildings in a rather safe area. There are even a couple of breweries neighboring it. I absolutely loved the overall vibe of this place! They don't offer classes per say and do function off of a program based system, keep in mind. I think it can get kind of pricey, but you WILL get your money's worth. The coaching offered here is nothing short of superior.

It's group classes but all exercises are towards your goals... the coaches make sure that you do the exercises correctly and then come back to to make sure you still good. To me this is as good as 1-1 training! I look forward to keeping in track and maintaining my body... Plus have you tried their shakes!? OMG!
