At Midway Airport in Chicago, I stopped at a Nuts on Clark vending machine. It wasn't functioning properly, it accepted my credit card, but did not dispense the popcorn. I was disappointed, but was in a hurry, I took a picture of the label on the machine so I could call after I returned home if it showed up on my credit card. It did, I called, no answer, and didn't leave a message which was an option. It was only $6 as I was going to get 2 different flavors, so I decided it was not a big deal to bother with. To my surprise, several hours later, I got a call from a Chicago area code, so I answered. It was Nuts on Clark! She called me back from the caller id info! I explained the situation and she offered me a refund or she would send me the popcorn! I told her than was not necessary but she insisted! I said I would love to try your popcorn! She said no problem and asked what the flavors were I was going to purchase! I told her. Less than a week later I received 2 medium size bags of the flavors I chose! I cannot say enough about the customer service I received from them!! Above and beyond for sure!! And the popcorn was DELICIOUS!! Their caramel is to die for!! read more

Obviously women owned. Can't get into site for any reason except to sign up for useless emails. Only email I have. Used my new password long enough to order...It's even on Google Password Manager for automatic fill in, but won't accept now, or a dozen new password resets. You can't check on order never received unless sign in first. PO has nothing from them. . They give no tracking number in email. No phone number given. You cannot even contact them without signing in first!! So they avoid all issues. The place to sign in is teeny tiny pale grey print making it impossible to go faster. They don't want to know you are a long time member from college days so that password has been deleted. I'm assuming the vicious pit bull woman at the counter is also in charge of this impossible mess. She even barked at toddlers to hurry up for no reason, we were not in a hurry...LOL! AND those toddlers bought everything in the store for various family members and themselves, so a nice big sale. Much as we wanted to storm out...they were having fun. Put the men back in charge so the site can function. Look at all the business she is losing by hiding. Cancelling through credit card is only option. The Chicago Bears tin wanted to get, looks nothing like a bear but just like a pig. Who would sign off on that? read more

I come here for things covered in chocolate -- walnuts, malt balls! -- and they're delicious. Their milk chocolate has a lovely fruity note, and while walnuts are only my fourth-favorite nut, they really shine when thickly covered in it. But goodness, everything here is pricey. Also, the in-store selection is a bit of a head-scratcher: empty shelves and lots of prices.... not exactly forthcomingly displayed. read more

I always stop and get my Cheese Corn at Chicago train station! always have been better than the other brand...I ordered 2 2lb tins lot of money, one for myself one for my sister, the popcorn wasn't cheesy and had very hard prices and lot of hales in the 2lb tins so disappointed usually good popcorn! I've enjoyed NOC for years but because I don't live near the Chicago metro area I have to pay for shipping. It kind of a bummer. althought the popcorn is delicious the tin always gets beat up during shipping. I'd like to see them use a better delivery service that is less expensive and more reliable. Who that might actually be i don't know but if Corp NOC could reasonably switch id think they'd get more online orders, maybe they don't want more online orders... idk ? Also offer a lower price for no tin refills like the boxes or larger bags. All that aside the popcorn is the best and its the only reason we "customers" put up with all the aggravation to get our NOC fix. I am writing this review from Southern California. My BFF, Linda, picked up a bag of popcorn at O'Hare when she was headed here. The lightweight wax bag didn't keep it fresh, but we knew it was top notch. Well, we just got a bag of it that came in the dreaded plastic and LET ME TELL YOU: BEST POPCORN I'VE EVER HAD. We bought the 3 mix in the airport traveling thru, and the popcorn was so fresh and tasted awesome. I liked it so much I ordered some when we got home from our travels. Not the same, the standard popcorn was stale and no butter or salt on it, the kettle corn was better because it had a coating on it.. not the same as the Airport for sure, don't waste the money, do microwave. My wife is from Chicago, so every time we come to her old neighborhood, we have to stop to bring some back to Ohio. You'll never hear me complain. The caramel corn is generously covered in buttery caramel, not like mass produced corn, and it's the best I've ever had anywhere. Love the cheese corn--the most flavorful! The combination of both is ridiculously delicious! My only negative about their treats is they're expensive. I'm sure part of it is the expense of operating a business on prime real estate, but it's also gourmet quality popcorn. Ordering was easy online, and the 12 tins I ordered were delivered as promised before Xmas. It was refreshing to have 100% success in an age of supply chain/Covid/mass resignation- yada yada yada. The store itself is pretty small, sparely decorated but filled with various popcorn a, chocolates and of course, nuts. You'll immediately be offered a sample which I love. I tried to eat so much that I didn't need to buy any but that didn't work. The popcorn is good. A four ounce bag will run your about $3. If you get prepackaged popcorn that are scattered throughout the store, be prepared to call your financial institute because it can be upwards of $10 for certain containers. Yes- of popcorn. Get a small bag of better yet, get a sample. I wouldn't count it out completely, I just felt like their are tons do great popcorn options that don't make me need to take a loan out on my 401K. Place is a bit too overpriced for what it is and I really can't justify another visit for typical popcorn flavors that can be purchased at just any grocery store. Got 3 containers of their 3 flavors, caramel, kettle and cheese and all were good. Looking at the ingredients list, its all heavily processed ingredients. Its not even organic corn. It's the same you'd find in any grocery bag of popcorn. So how does this place justify the price gouging? Rent, and or taxes, with a little bit of overhead I guess. Gotta pay the dozen people who work there I get but what are they doing to bring customers back! They also fall short on their marketing efforts. You get an overwhelming feeling when you walk in like nothing is organized with no pull ins telling you in Nuts here, pop corn there, special pop corn right this way. It was a bit much with their 3 packs scattered all over the place hiding areas like you have to rummage like you're in a thrift store. Prices and signs were also confusing. I really just don't get the hype of Nuts on Clark. I live in the area and my mom insisted that we go on her most recent visit. First off- the store smelled horrible. Mildew? Mothballs? Old stale cheddar corn? It wasn't appealing or what I'd expect a popcorn and nut store to smell like. Then the hours- 9-4 M-S and no Sunday hours? Not really customer friendly I tried the sample of the mix. It was okay, but nothing to right home about. The prices also seemed extremely high. 10.99 for a 1 pound tub of questionable age? I personally think Mariano's specialty popcorn is better and less expensive. Back in the day this place was very reasonably priced. Now their prices are sky-high for what is actually in the container, which is now a much lower quality product. You are now paying more for packaging than quality IMO. Many other companies/corporations are doing this today. Just trying to fool the consumer again by flashy/cool packaging. This is basically free advertising for them making the quality suffer for the consumer. Word of mouth can absolutely destroy a business with this kind of low quality in the long run. I am shaking at my desk writing this review, someone just dropped off a huge gallon tub of caramel corn to our office and restraint from sweets during the holiday season is pretty much non-existent. I digress as visiting their store is an experience in and of itself... As you enter through the door, you may think you have stumbled across the wrong place, perhaps your in a warehouse, because they certainly don't believe in merchandising. Walk a few steps in and you will hear "Would you to try a piece of our fresh caramel corn". Say no. If you do not say no, you will be hooked for life. This is the very place I lost my innocence to their infamous caramel corn. I have never been a big fan of flavored popcorns, or popcorn covered in caramel, cheese or what have you. But here, its different. I LOVE their caramel covered popcorn. It is real caramel on real popcorn, as opposed to a fake chemical tasting caramel covering stale popcorn... Big ol' nuts! I mean, I picked up a tray of assorted nuts and I was stunned at the size of those babies. I didn't know they came so big! They were all very good tho. I ended up buying a tray for my family back home. I have yet to try their popcorn but there sure was a long line for them when I went. I regret not trying it after reading some of these reviews.
