I'm from Detroit and Always love me a local joint. My brother took me here and said it's one of his favorite spots. He has gotten to know the owner and his family. Super nice people! The inside is decorated with tons of old light up signs and old school gas pumps. They even have an old school car inside. Went with family and had a great experience. Casual dining with a quick service pace. Burgers were humongous! Onion rings were great, fries were amazing. I really was impressed with this place. Please order some of their milkshakes! The foods not to bad, fries are pretty good.My problem is with the service. Dont go there on your lunch break, they also have a habit of turning off the phones when they think its "to busy" so you cant even call in a order. I spent nearly 30 minutes waiting for a milkshake and fries the other day, they actually acted surprised when i asked for a refund cuz i only have so long on lunch break. If I could give a less than 1 star, I would have. Ordered 3 burgers, 1 blt, 2 fries and two milkshakes. We waited for quite a while, got milkshakes first and they were okay but would have expected better for the price. When our food arrived everything was cold. We were very hungry and attempted to eat it. We stopped about halfway through and went up to the counter to tell someone about cold food. She said oh well it couldn't be helped due to too many tickets?!???! Who says this to a customer?? We aren't complainers so it was bad. They advertise a guarantee but no offer for refund was given, very lame. I spent $54 for food that was ice cold! Poor attitudes and bad food combine to ensure we won't come back!! They Don't Care Have eaten here several times & everything was good until TODAY. It was apparent there was no management there. The 'kids, teenagers", (they don't deserve to be called staff or cooks) opened up 15 minutes late & the 3 guys who flipped burgers appeared more interested in flirting with the blonde girl taking orders than fixing food. Something was terribly wrong with both our burgers, so salty (yes, saltier than Wendy's) we could not even eat them, heavy grease dripping out soiling the paper wrapping on burgers making them all WET. Onion rings were even greasier, fell apart, unedible. Disgusted, I dropped my tray at the front counter as I was leaving & told them why my food was on the tray uneaten. What happened next was surreal, they all smiled & started chanting "we don't care" & then a tall lanky blonde guy threateningly waved a spatula at us motioning towards the door yelling "GET OUT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, JUST GET OUT." We are senior citizens & retired professionals who use to enjoy the place ... why pay good money for bad food & a disrespectful attitude. We are not returning & will tell all our friends to ban the place. These kids should be fired. read more

Discovered this burger joint by a recommendation from a person who lives near Spokane. I tried the restaurant the next time I was driving through. IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!! Big burgers with hand formed patties, great milk shakes using real ice cream and onion rings deep fried with a great batter. For a burger shop, they also have chicken and other stuff. Everything is fresh and hand made. While the restaurant is now doing takeout, it is clean and well kept. Go there for a big burger and any drink. Be hungry. You'll think it is a 1950's drive in with good food before McDonalds was even a dream in someone's eye. read more

Best Burger / Grill in Arlington hands down. They make their patties daily and fries are cut from whole potatoes in house by the crew. Everything they use in their food is fresh and local. They refuse to use Co-op ingredients and the quality and freshness of their sandwiches, burgers and shakes is evident. On top of all of that the atmosphere is a fun retro collection of old gas pumps, signs, vehicles and memorabilia everywhere you look, even up in the rafters. Everyone I've personally recommended to go to Nutty's has thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. All of them are repeat customers and there's not a day they are open that they aren't busy, but never too busy to have a pleasant smile and greeting when you walk up to the counter. This place is good. Good food. Good atmosphere. Different too. Enjoyed it! Fish and chips the best around! Really great burgers. Not cheap but not expensive. Make sure you order fries when you order a burger. They don't come with them. I hope the owners read this cause I have one complaint. What is with the tip jar? I'm supposed to tip you for taking my order and handing me my food? Tipping is for service beyond just making the food. It would be like having a tip jar at McDonald's! Ridiculous and greedy. Take the jar out and do your job please! When you fill my drink for me or do anything but make and hand me food I'll consider leaving a tip! read more

Went there today for lunch really looking forward to there onion rings. The burger was incredible we split a Baconburger. Popped in here on Fathers Day for lunch. I could smell the bacon when I got out of the car! I ordered the Junk Trunk burger and fries. The burger was juicy and well cooked, pilled with grilled onions, mushrooms, pickles, American cheese and 2 thick slices of bacon. The fries were good but a little on the limp side for me, I like them crispy. My wife ordered the BBQ chicken burger and loved it. She went with onion rings ILO fries, she made the right choice. Both my sons ordered fish and chips. Giant pieces of fish sat a top their fries. They were golden brown and cook very well. This place was full of dads and their family's. It has a great atmosphere, decorated with old car parts, memorabilia, bikes and wagons. 3 garage doors open to allow for a nice seating atmosphere when the weather is nice. This is a winner in my book. Go for the onion rings for sure!! read more

Anytime my husband and I have to drive south we make a stop to eat here. Great burger's - fresh! Their fries are the closest thing to In-n-out I've found (in a good way), they have a similar flavor and are delicious. But their onion rings are seriously the best I've ever had. I tend to eat most onion rings half of the onion then start stripping off the breading and eating more of that but these are breaded and cooked to perfection so that even a non-onion lover will love them. I have given this place several chances and I'm always disappointed when I go. Every time I have ordered the fries, they have been burned. Today I ordered a Shelby Blu burger. There was so little blue cheese that I had to really search to find any. The burger had so much of their sauce on it (top, bottom, both sides of both pieces of bread). It was so soggy with the sauce that it was pretty gross. You shouldn't need to go home and move your burger to a new bun. I've given this place enough chances and will not be returning. read more

TL;DR - Great food (but cluttered menu), charming decor and theme, speedy service. Has some issues, but small and fixable. Drove 40 minutes to get there and it ended up being worth it. Seems pretty popular as well. Gonna need to try their chicken next time. Unlike a few others on here, I actually really liked their style of fries - though I might be biased. I was told their onion rings are fantastic, but I'm not an onions person so I got no opinion on that. Also, the orange creamsicle shake is to die for. It was incredibly thick, but who cares when it tastes like that? I think the biggest issue I have is that their burger menu seems a bit cluttered. There's a few "this, but bigger" items, and there's some where the only difference is the toppings. For example, literally the only difference between the Big Block and the Two Barrel is hickory bacon. You'd think the Two Barrel would be a double, right? I tried to order a Trunk Junk without the onions or mushrooms, and ended up being recommended a plain Tri-Power with bacon instead. Which wasn't three patties (god forbid), it was just the Two Barrel with a 1/2 pound patty. I think a smarter and more clever way to go about this would have been to go further with the car/junkyard theme and do a build-your-own system like Subway or MOD Pizza. It might take a bit more time due to slow or indecisive customers, but I think it'll resort in a cleaner menu and less confusion on both the employees and the customers. Save some of the more special items (like the Green Torino), but just put up a "modular" burger to replace all the samey ones and have a sign showing the customer all their choices. Only other nitpicks are; the bathroom seems like it needs an expansion soon for how popular the place looks now, since it's just for one person; the seats in the back aren't cushioned, if I remember correctly; and it probably could use better heating than ceiling-mounted radiators. I hope the employees or the owner(s?) read their Yelp page, I'd hate for this long-winded critique to go unnoticed! read more

Interesting place. Give your order at the register, they call your name and deliver to your table. Burger was big and tasty but really sloppy. A better roll might have held it together. Onion rings were excellent but the fries were limp (was the oil not hot enough?) Milkshake was great. The best I have had in a long time. The prices more than made up for any shortcomings! read more

Quality has gone downhill over the past year. Order is always goofed up. The prices are high for greasy overcooked and salted deep fried products. My burger has not been made correctly the last 5 times I've ordered. Nickel and dime for sauces. Met the owner on my last visit who made sure I wanted to leave reviews and never return. We live in a world of fast food burgers, fries, and shakes where everything is prepared way in advance, frozen, thawed, pre-cooked, and heated for service. Not at Nutty's. Hand pressed burgers, hand cut and breaded onion rings, hand cut fries, hand dipped shakes. Lots of labor goes into the products they offer and the quality shows.
