I ate here several years ago and it was pretty good. Was in the area again recently and wow, what a change. First, what I could see of the inside as I sat by the drive through, was that it was disgustingly dirty. I mean, I know a lot of restaurants kitchens aren't the cleanest, but ugggg, this was truly awful! In taste...The burger was fairly good but the fries were SO greasy and tasted like they were fried in 10 year old oil! Won't go again. Ray's Drive-In was a hopping place when I arrived around 11:15 a.m. today, Thursday 29 June 2023. There were a few vehicles in the drive-thru as well as parked in front of the building and in the parking beyond the building/drive-thru. I decided to park in a spot beyond the drive-thru and walk up to the window to place my order and pick it up. Multiple menus were posted with items and prices easy to read. Placing the order was straightforward and the wait was short even with a few other groups in front me. The worker at each window (place order & order pick-up) had a good attitude and was attentive in our interactions. I ordered the Ray's burger with bacon and cheese, a small fries, and small cherry shake for $15.50 pre-tax. With tax it came to $17.03, I paid with a twenty dollar bill, tipping $2.50 of the change. The burger was perhaps the best bacon cheeseburger I have had to date. All of the toppings/sauces were on point, the bacon crispy, the bun soft, light, and fluffy. I was impressed with the toppings in that they scaled with the patty thickness. Fries were a hearty serving for a small, were hot, and retained small pieces of the potato skin. For the milkshake, the cherry flavor was intense in a good way and the temperature cool to cold. All around a flawless meal per my tastes and appetite. read more

Been coming by semi-regularly since about mid to late December of last year after I started working down the street from them. Each and every visit, the food is always pretty solid and filling. Tried out a large majority of the menu, but not everything quite yet. From their Burgers to their Fries, Fish and even their Chicken Sandwiches, you have options! Regardless, it is always very filling and you'll be satisfied after each meal. Cashiers at the window are always very kind and upbeat, always ready to help when you're ready. Food comes out relatively fast too, like within 5 minutes if not any less! And the waiting spot is pretty peaceful for the most part. Nosiest it gets is others talking nearby or in their cars. A little on the pricy side, but the meals are worth it every time! And that's why I keep coming back! So if you haven't stopped at Ray's Drive-In yet, I very highly recommend it! Lastly, sorry in advance for no pictures, I've grown accustomed to just eating right away as soon as I get back to my workplace. Will try to remember to add some in the future! read more

This place was great! Hidden gem. I got a rays burger add bacon and it was super flavorful! I also got a banana shake and I have to say that was the star of the show. Idk what was in that but it was one of the best shakes I've ever had. Tasted like real banana. It's been one day and I'm already craving another banana shake. The fries were totally homemade and were fantastic! They were very similar to dicks drive in fries if you have ever had those! I give this place a 10/10! The drive through was VERY fast. On the way to visit my mom at the nearby hospital I was bringing her some food, burger rings and shake per her request. Stopped in here and found the best little burger rings and shake spot around. Having another dinner from Ray's. Tonight I went their fish and a half with a large order of deep fried mushrooms and nope I couldn't finish the whole meal even though it was super tasty. Their tartar sauce is homemade and you get a huge amount the ranch that comes with the mushrooms is ok but I prefer their fry sauce. The rest of my family went with hamburgers and chicken strips, it's not a huge menu but what the have is very good. Ray's has been around for a long time it's located on the north end of Everett on Broadway. It's your classic old school burger place has some seating but most people use the drive through they're pretty quick and nock on wood they haven't messed up on any of our orders. Wanted to try a burger that was similar to InNOut and this was one that I found in Washington. Got a double basket. The burger was good(tastier then the picture suggest). It's similar to 5 guys then InNOut. The fries with tartar sauce was also tasty. I will definitely come back for anything burger. The place has been remodeled recently. All outdoor ordering with no indoor seating. I had the Ray's Burger which is basic but good. Exactly as it should be. Good stuff here. My first time here even though I pass by almost daily. I was in the area yet again and decided to stop. Ray's is a fixture at Broadway and 14th St in north Everett. It's walk up only and there is no seating or access to the inside of the building. There is a drive up window as well as the order and pickup windows facing Broadway. The community health clinic is across the street and there is no end to the people watching. The young man behind the counter was polite and efficient when taking my order. Since this was my first visit I pulled out the stops and got the Ray's Double combo. They refer to that as the Double Double. Don't confuse it with the actual Double Double because it certainly is not that. The burger is two relatively thin patties with the obligatory condiments. It was an old fashioned diner burger and it was good if not filling. The fries look like they are cut on site and were just a bit limp for me but coupled with the tartar they were good and they give over a large portion. I couldn't eat them all. They are also known for their fish and chips and I will try that another time. Most people eat in their cars and there is a good size lot behind for that. I was on a motorcycle so was forced to stand there with my lunch balanced on my seat. Not a big deal but even a bench outside would have been welcomed. My wife and I finally stopped into Ray's to try one of their infamous burgers. Free parking can be found in the lot. Credit cards are accepted. Menu items are a la carte so meals add up quickly. During our visit, there was a steady stream of patrons in the drive-thru as well as the walk-up window. Ray's offers a small indoor seating area for those who do not prefer to eat in their car. This is where my wife and I chose to eat. Indoors is filthy. The garbage can stunk. The tables were so sticky that our food bag, wrappers and napkins stuck to it. It was interesting to eat our meal without touching anything outside of the meal itself. Orders are placed at the walk-up window. Orders are picked up when corresponding number is called. During our visit, the only employee wearing gloves was the employee working the grill. When I questioned why the employee handling the uncooked food (buns, cheese, toppings, etc...) wasn't wearing gloves, I was told that he was "supposed" to be wearing gloves. After being caught not wearing gloves, the employee was pulled from the station. Can't help but wonder how often and for how long this unacceptable practice has been going on. My wife and I shared a small chocolate milkshake for $3.49. The shake was thick and tasty. My wife ordered a Ray's burger for $4.49 + $0.50 for cheese and $0.75 for bacon for a total of $5.74. She also ordered a side of small fries for $2.19. The fries were hand cut and lacked salt. My wife stated her burger was perfect for hangovers. She was disappointed with the unsalted fries. I ordered the Ray's burger for $4.49. I chose a small side of onion rings for $3.29. For me, the burger/bun ratio was off (more bun). My burger reminded me of the Whopper Jr from Burger King. If given the choice, I would choose Burger King in the future over Ray's. My onion rings were the highlight of our lunch: hot, crispy and salty. Overall, Ray's is not the burger joint for either one of us. For the price, one can find better burgers at surrounding restaurant chains that adhere to sanitary guidelines. read more

They NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE. Why do they even have a phone line if they can't even answer it. We walked from our house and they had two cars there. The most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. On another note, the one time they do answer their phone I place an order and he asked if I would be there right away. I said I'm the last car in the drive through and he told me I was "cheating". Pretty much the best burger joint in Everett! I got a Jr. Burger and a Jr. fish and chips. My boyfriend got a peanut butter shake which was light and viscous. It wasn't extremely peanut buttery to the point where it was over powering. It was just right. My burger was fantastic. I added cheese and bacon. What got me hooked on this place is their fish and chips! Talk about bomb.com. There is actually fish in it and not an over excessive amount of batter. Most places are stingy and rip you off with a mini piece of fish, but Ray's has you covered. The moment you bite into a piece, you get a little crunch from the outside of the butter, the inner soft layer of the batter, then plenty of fish to finish. Tarter sauce is thick and tart. I liked this place! I was nervous to try it since the overall rating was so low but I needed a burger and I needed it NOW. A coworker and I were in Everett for work yesterday and needed to eat before battling traffic on the 5. Stopped by around 345. No one in front of us. The very friendly girl in the window recommended the fish and chips and strawberry shake, so that's what my coworker got. I ordered a double Bacon Cheeseburger, small onion rings, and a medium diet coke. Our total was $26. The wait was about 10 minutes if that. This place has a walkup order window and a drive thru. Bathrooms are located on the side of the building. Coworker didn't say anything, so it must have been clean. There's a little eat in area to the left of the order window. Very little area. Now the part you care about... The food!!! It was so good! I stole a piece of my coworker's fish :p it was so yummy!! He said the fries were soggy though. He said his shake was bangin! It sounded delicious, the way he was slurping every last drop!! My burger was good considering all it had on it was bacon, American cheese and mustard. SO MUCH CHEESE! The burger itself was pretty big! Thin bacon like at Burger King though. Onion rings were amazing. The good kind like you'd get at a bar. We had zero complaints about this cute little place!
