Was recommended Nuvole, and it was a very positive experience! The views of downtown Charlotte at night and ambiance are both amazing. There are fans to keep cool, but also a fire place to complete the vibes. Our server was very friendly and helpful in giving recommendations. She was even able to make me a mocktail off-menu based on what I told her I liked, which was awesome! The food is just okay here, but it is pretty reasonably priced, and I'd definitely recommend coming by just for the views & vibes (great photo spot!) What we tried: - Miami Mami cocktail ($17): One of their "prettiest" and most popular drinks, according to our server. Was good. - French Me cocktail ($17): Also recommended by our server. Was good as well. - Neptune's seafood roll ($29): Summer special as of 8.9.26. Not your typical seafood roll, instead somewhat deconstructed... with the bun, lettuce in the middle, and meat on top. A bit too salty for my liking - overpowered the lobster/crab taste I was looking for. Came with fries that were very tasty (Old Bay!) - Lollipop lamb ($26): Came with 3 lamb chops - was pretty tasty, just not super filling! - Ceviche ($17): The plantains were good but slightly burnt & overcooked. We stayed at the AC Hotel and this was nice to come to in the evening after a long day of work. Chill vibes, everyone is nicely dressed and enjoying their cocktails and bites. It's an indoor/outdoor lounge. We came on Friday which had a DJ spinning some tunes and looks like they have a tabletop fireplace for those cooler Charlotte nights. Okay, this rooftop bar is a vibeeeee. My friend and I stopped here for some drinks after a hornets game. We were able to be seated in a loveseat outside on the rooftop. It was so nice. The views were amazing! Drinks were a little pricey, but you are also paying for the atmosphere. Our server was wonderful and super attentive even though it was very busy. Staying in the AC Hotel, so easy to head up to Nuvole. Had dinner at the bar. Friendly bartenders, excellent service. Ahi Tuna nachos to start, followed by what they call their House Salad, which is basically a Cobb Salad. Added some chicken skewers, and it was wonderful. Full bar, good beer & wine selections. Based on the reviews I may have just gotten unlucky but I had a negative experience at Nuvole. This was my first time here and when I exited the elevator I went the wrong way and didn't see the sign so I was wandering around looking for where to go and asked multiple employees who acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Finally someone pointed me in the right direction. My friend and I were meeting here for dinner and drinks and arrived about 1/2 hour after they opened. There were only a few other people there but the service was awful. It took forever for our server to do each and every thing. The drink I ordered was terrible and the food very boring and bland. I would have actually sent my drink back but everything was so bad that we just wanted to get out of there. So many other good places with better food, drinks, service, and views. read more

While staying at the AC Hotel in Uptown Charlotte, we decided to grab some drinks and small bites at the Nuvole Rooftop TwentyTwo, which was on the 22nd floor of our hotel. Unfortunately once we made it to the rooftop, there was a bit of miscommunication and we weren't made aware that we needed reservations so we did have to go to another floor to get on the waiting list. Thankfully, we only had to wait for about 20 minutes for a spot to be available for us. The rooftop was absolutely beautiful! The DJ created a nice vibe and the views of Uptown Charlotte were incredible. Our server was super sweet and attentive and our food was served fairly quickly. I ordered a Truffle Fries and my friends ordered Salmon Bites and Lamb Chops. Everything tasted very good! The tabletop fire pit created a really nice ambiance and for a Saturday night, it wasn't overly packed so we were able to really enjoy ourselves! Came here one Thursday evening to just enjoy views, drinks and a vibe. It wasn't too crowded so it was very easy to find a comfortable place to sit and relax. I will say at first, it was difficult to find the way onto the rooftop. It seemed like a maze with a couple of twists and turns but once there, it was nice! I ordered the Mediterranean Spread and it was very good. I was a nice spread of Hummus, vegetables, pita bread and cheeses. I haven't gone back to try many of the other dishes but it is on my list. View is nice.. Service is non existent and the staff looks and acts totally miserable. Other than the view the room itself is uninspiring. They close incredibly early too. You would think in downtown Charlotte they would be open later especially given the location. Best views of the city!! Enter the Marriott hotel and take the elevator to the top floor. We were told to go to the 6th floor but that was incorrect. This may have been to gain access, as the elevator required a key card past a certain level. We did not have reservations and took a gamble coming here on a Saturday evening. Luckily, many people were at the Marc Anthony concert so it wasn't busy until after the concert ended. Got seated within 3-5 minutes at a table close to the patio under heaters. One or two were broken but still a great experience. The patio has fire place coffee tables and comfy seating. Prettt swanky and upscale vibes, so dress to impress. The drinks are pricey...I'm pretty sure I paid $50 for 2 espresso martinis and a glass of wine. We think they had small plates but can't speak to that completely. Good for groups! Celebrating success and continuing my globe trotting adventures now in Charlotte NC. We are taking in the local cuisine and it was recommended let's check out Nuvole....parking was across the street.. Garage for a fee. The staff were friendly and worked to address our needs...food and drinks areives quickly...and being a marylander of course if it said crab ...I am in. Ordered the crab dip...it left a lot to be desired. Plenty of cheese but was left wondering where is/was the crab. The fries were cooked to perfection. However, the lobster and shrimp sandwich (for the cost) was deficient. Not enough meat, iceberg lettuce ( the cheapest lettuce on the market). Overall it had good flavor but fell a bit short. I've been here a few times over the years and each experience has been a little mediocre. It's on top of a hotel and sometimes they like to "hold the line" for no apparent reason. I presume it's to make it more exclusive. There is a fire pit and ample seating around and definitely a good date night spot! The drinks are pretty standard nothing that really stood out to me. As far as parking you should definitely Uber or be prepared for uptown Charlotte parking prices. Pros: the view is no doubt the best view in Charlotte. Located inside the beautiful AC Hotel Uptown, Nuvole is a luxurious sky lounge serving killer cocktails and small plates. My father was in town recently and booked a stay here so of course I had to go pay a visit. Of course this is a great amenity for any hotel guests staying over, but it is also worth checking out if you find yourself Uptown or want to grab some drinks after work. As the name implies it is located on the 22nd floor and features panoramic views of the beautiful Charlotte skyline. You'll really feel like you are in the heart of the city. It is an indoor/outdoor bar as well so if the weather is nice then you can take it outside and enjoy the fresh air high above the city street. I love a good rooftop bar and I am glad that Charlotte is seeing more and more every year. This is a great addition to the city and I encourage everyone from out of town guests, to Uptown professionals to stop in and check out the view. read more

Walked into the AC hotel in downtown Charlotte and made my way to Nuvole Rooftop located on the 22nd floor of the hotel. When we got off of the elevator and walked into the restaurant we were greeted by the hostees and was seated outside in a reserved area. The view was amazing! The music was a nice mix of R&B music (old and new). We ordered drinks and the crab rangoon dip. I ordered a drink called the French Me. It had pineapple and lemon infused Ketel One Vodka Chambord, lemon and pineapple. The drink was a little sweet, in my opinion it needed a little more vodka. All in all it was good. I ordered the Neptune Seafood Roll for my main course. It came with a mix of lobster, crab meat celery and shrimp on a bibb of lettuce. It was served with old bay fries. The roll was buttery and lightly toasted and the seafood mix was good. However, I am big on portion size and presentation for the price ($29) the roll should have been filled from end to end and it should have been served on red leaf lettuce instead of iceberg lettuce in my opinion. Overall I had a good experience at Nuvole Rooftop. If you are ever in downtown Charlotte NC and want a nice place to be with friends, have drinks, food and hear nice music check this place out. read more

Begins with the passive aggressive staff, who create artificial wait times for everything, nevertheless we finally sit down and we ask are for outside and placed inside. Not a problem right, just tell the server we would like to move, yet it takes about 20 minutes for one to finally come over to us. I wouldn't mind but bar was about 1/2 capacity at best with staff of over 6 servers. 20% added gratuity now all makes sense to me. Staff talks to like I'm a child in kindergarten, when I'm dress in a suit to enjoy my night. Get an IG photo, anything else may take 3-5 business days. Drink prices aren't amazing but I can tolerate it if the service is there to match it. read more

Extremely rude security. Business group basically surround and ordered to leave NOW! This without a closing time heads up form restaurant staff (security treated us as if we were trespassing within seconds of server picking up signed bill.) Security was literally two steps away from the table as we closed the tab. No wonder the server practically ran away. This business is not related to hotels below, BUT this WAS Marriott 's recommended hangout, which in my opinion makes them responsible for how we were so rudely treated. Without the AC we wouldn't have known about this restaurant/bar. Most importantly, we would have been much better off leaving the property for dinner and drinks. My suggestion to Charlotte business travelers is to avoid the Marriott AC Downtown Charlotte Hotel as there are many of other Marriott hotel options (and other brands) with bars and restaurants who respect business travelers. read more
