It was nice dealing with a veteran owned business that feels really personal with a hands on owner. For some stupid reason 1 side of my wall was basically missing a row of blocks. I've always HATED that my neighbor and I could stare into each other's patio doors without trying. I never wanted to offend him by asking to build the wall up but I took advantage to bring it up as they were moving out. He said yeah he hated it too so go for it. He's on the HOA board so my architectural request got approved within days and the search for a mason began. I got a bunch of responses to my Yelp project request with some saying they don't do small jobs like mine, some crazy quotes of 2k (assume that was F off pricing). Luckily Mr. Brown responded with an incredibly fair quote after I sent details and photos and I think he stopped by the next morning to drop off samples to make sure the colors matched. We got it scheduled pretty quickly and his in person quote was a little lower than the text quote, which has never happened before. It really says what a good and honest person you're dealing with. His guy came out on time, was nice and did a great job. The only issue was that I didn't think I had to mention the mortar should match the existing not match the block color. I didn't pay attention and only caught it after it was done. Mr Brown came out to take a look and his suggestion was to cover the brown mortar with grey. It's not an exact match (I knew it wouldn't be) but it's good enough and I really appreciate his quick response. Masonry work isn't something that comes up often but I will use Brown Masonry again any chance I get. Thank you so much Mr. Brown

Glen and LaShawn did a fantastic job. I was concerned that we would have issues with our HOA because maybe the brick or something wouldn't match but the repair was absolutely seamless. The whole team went above and beyond, were very knowledgeable, worked super hard, and cleaned up the area really well when the job was completed. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for another project. Highly recommend.!

I am still waiting for that to happen. It keeps getting pushed back. It is the weather or we live too far out. We did not live too far out when they took the job. The last I was told is they will be out Monday, July 27. My items have been sitting on my deck for 3 weeks now. I would like to enjoy my new back yard. Brandon, the salesman, was great. The workers did a good job, and the job supervisor was nice. We had another estimate and we went with Rock and Block because we felt we were getting more for our money. I just want my job completed. I do not understand why it is taking so long to finish it.

But the finished product is even beyond what I pictured in my mind. Lou was very punctual and thorough in his quote. I was purchasing my own material so he was able to give me a precise list of what I needed to order. The list was spot on with only a little bit left over. The work was completed over two days once the stone was ready for pick up. The crew arrived early @ 645am and I was amazed to see them working well past 3 pm the first day. I think they put in 10 hours the first day. They were meticulous with the install and Lou was considerate of a couple last minute requests during install. After the work was complete, they cleaned up after themselves and, barring some dust from all the cutting they did, they picked up all of their trash and supplies. The end product is amazingly well done and looks strikingly like natural stone (we used Coronado manufactured stone). My wife and I are very happy with the work they did and it has completely transformed the look of our home. We've already received many compliments. I highly recommend Lou @ Southern Nevada Masonry!

Martin completed our initial estimate, and at first the communication was great. Unfortunately,…read moreafter that, things started going downhill. It's disappointing because I really wanted to love this company, but the entire experience has been filled with frustrations, constant follow-ups, and having to ask why things weren't getting done. On the first day of the project, the crew arrived and began measuring the area. They knocked on my door because they wanted to confirm some measurements. When I went outside, they explained that the measurements Martin had provided seemed off and that the border where the plants were supposed to go was much wider than expected. I agreed and told them that wasn't what Martin and I had discussed. I immediately called Martin and explained that the measurements were incorrect and did not match the design photo I had been shown. He told me he had used Google Maps for measurements and that sometimes it's not accurate. I was shocked because I specifically thought he had physically measured the area himself. He then informed me that additional materials would be needed, resulting in an extra cost of approximately $1,900 for more pavers and artificial grass. I explained that this was not my mistake and that it was his responsibility to ensure the measurements were accurate. I had asked multiple times if the quoted amount was final because one of my biggest concerns was avoiding a seam in the artificial grass. While he ultimately corrected the issue without charging me the additional amount, I still ended up with a visible seam running through the grass. Which I'm not happy about still. We also added a raised seating area with lighting. After installation, the area had a significant slope that was very noticeable. When I brought it to their attention, they explained that some slope was necessary for water runoff. However, this wasn't a slight slope it looked more like a sunken area on one side of the square. They eventually came back and corrected it. The pavers have also been an ongoing issue. They were uneven and not properly leveled. The company has returned twice to address the problem. While there has been some improvement, it still isn't what I would consider acceptable, and the unevenness remains noticeable. The plants they installed also began drying out. They had to return twice to address that issue as well, but only after delays and on their own schedule. Currently, I still have cracked pavers, chipped pieces, and stained pavers that need to be replaced. I am still waiting for a response regarding these issues. Once again, everything seems to be handled at their convenience rather than with urgency or concern for customer satisfaction. My overall impression is that once the company secures the job, customer service significantly declines. The quality issues, lack of communication, repeated repairs, and delays have made what should have been an exciting project into a frustrating experience. As a customer who invested a significant amount of money, I expected better workmanship, accountability, and follow-through.

Paco is not the ideal small business owner I'd recommend to anyone…read more I contacted him to replace my irrigation valve on Saturday 07/04/26, while the initial conversation was cordial, the end result wasn't (07/06/26). We set a date (07/06/26) for the replacement and what I thought was a fair negotiated price ($250), it really ended not being a fair price at all. Paco initially wanted $280, I negotiated with him to $250. Even at $250 he was higher than all others by $50-$100 more. I asked him if I could use my credit card, he said yes but there would be 4% surcharge. I didn't agree with that, so I asked if he could wave that, he reluctantly agreed. So, date and price was set. Come Monday 07/06/26, he claims his credit card service isn't working, so I agreed to a Zelle payment. Our appointment was for Monday (07/06/26 at 11:30; not only did his credit card service not work according to him, but he continued to change his arrival time. He texted me he was running behind on 07/06/26 and now would arrive no later than 12:30. By this time I'm seeing many red flags. I called him @ 11:46 on 07/06/26 to verify with him that he would arrive no later than 12:30 and was still intact. While confirming his 12:30 time, now he tells me 1 O'clock and blames me for his late arrival because I called to verify the time. During our conversation on the phone he kept interrupting me, talking over me, telling me I was upset that I couldn't use my credit card (furthest from the truth), and that I set the price for the job and so forth. I told him, I no longer needed his services, he was rude and not accommodating or respectful of my time and needs. Who wants to invite someone to their home after a terrible text and phone conversation, NO THANK YOU! To say the least, he wasn't given the job. Be careful who you hire people.

David responded to my urgent need to address a leak in my irrigation system where the poly tubing had ruptured underneath my driveway as well as a faulty joint in the main irrigation valve coupler. David arrived and proceeded to walk me through my system, discussed the age, pros/cons and we discussed the options to resolve. The age of the system was 20-years and In the end, agreed to rebuild the entire system at a very reasonable price. David knocked the work out in less than 3-4 hours. I never knew the layout of my old system, second owner and drip line tubing and emitters were buried. Now, I was able to photo document everyting with a map of how all the main and drip line tubing was laid out for future reference. I came away very happy with everything new and 1-year warranty. I cannot rave enough about the team at Northwest Landscaping. They had a cancellation and came around and did my demo of old plants etc while we waited for HOA approval on an existing plan I had for my front yard. I had Monica, their in house landscape designer, help me take the front plan into the back of the property and she was incredibly helpful with more suggestions of planting ideas for the large sloping area. I totally lucked out with my crew!! Fransico arrived over the course of a few days with a fabulous assortment of plants he had found off the plan. They were so good once planted they immediately started blooming and flourishing. Lisandro led a very hard working and wonderful crew of Rafael, Jose and Gerardo. He listened and worked with me on where I wanted everything and also offered his ideas from other jobs he had worked on. They removed the last of the dead plants, planted the new ones, they laid new wires for the lights plus a new timer box, and there were new sprinklers set up. The paving company organised by Northwest came and paved around the artificial grass before it was put down, The crew installed a fountain and got it up and running, and finished with flagstone pavers and rocked the property. Each day they worked hard from 7am through to approximately 3.30pm. They took great care in cleaning up the property and the street before they left each day. Rafa the foreman dropped by to check on everything regularly offering great ideas like rock going into the fountain with maybe a water light, specific types of plants, and suggested 2 different sizes of the same rock the color for the whole property. I went with all of his suggestions. It is an absolutely amazing experience to work with these hard working talented people at Northwest Landscaping and I will be getting them back to hopefully work on my gate and bbq area. I had called at least 5 different landscape companies & had 3 come to look at my yard to help me decide what to do. I liked Michael from the start. He is smart, kind & knows his trade. I was on a very tight budget. He understood this & together we came up with a plan that I was happy with. He helped me pick out the perfect plants/trees to suit my needs. I didn't want trees that would drop a lot of leaves or plants that might attract certain bugs and he really knew how to guide me into choosing the right ones that I liked. Everything went so quickly. He stayed in contact with me every step of the way. My backyard was just completed (from scratch) It took 2 days! Even though my yard was not an elaborate design, his crew came & wow! they got the job done in record time. Very nice crew who got my paver patio put in perfectly and fast! I was even given an upgrade at no charge. My walkway down the side of my house had a wider path with rocks on one side instead of each side. I didn't expect this & am thrilled how it came out. I love how it looks. One thing Michael said was he likes to quote a job and over deliver. He wasn't kidding. Even my neighbor (who was watching the progress from his upstairs window) said "I cant believe how fast the workers got those pavers finished!" just because the crew worked fast didn't mean the work wasn't perfect. it was. My very large backyard went from dirt to something fabulous to gaze at with pride looking out my windows. I have nothing negative to say about Northwest Landscape. Every person involved surpassed my expectations. I would definitely recommend them for any job. I will be using them for any future work I need. Our Backyard is the paradise we've dreamed of, and it's all thanks to the incredible job from the Northwest team. From start to finish, it's been a great experience. Jonathan from the beginning was amazing. He was honest, responsive, and went above and beyond at every opportunity. Due to his pure intentions and great customer service during our design meeting is honestly why we selected Northwest. The rest of the team continue to impress. Our backyard was completed in 6 business days, instead of the 7-8 discussed. I could not believe it went so fast! The team that installed our backyard was on time every morning, friendly and hardworking! It was so hot each day, but they worked through the heat and finished earlier than expected. I had a few on-the-spot changes, which I asked (ex. wanted to switch the type of tree), and they made it happen quickly and without any hassle. Also, they left our house very clean each day, better than any of my neighbors who have gone with other providers. Lastly, the final walkthrough was a great opportunity for us to ask any remaining questions. We appreciate Jon, taking the time to walk us through everything we wanted and needed to know about our new yard. I know there are so many companies out there, but I highly doubt most will provide a great experience from start to finish as Northwest did for us. I typically do not post on social media, however, in this case it is justified. We are ecstatic about the results of our landscaping. After receiving 4 bids, we decided on Northwest. I worked in construction and after listening to recommendations made by Jonathan, based on my drawing, and although Northwest is not the cheapest or most expensive, we went with Northwest. One Vendor (to remain nameless) had a minimum bid of $15K. I knew my landscaping requirements would be under $10K, based on my experience and the square footage of my Lot. Jonathan was straight with me and provided a clear itemized price list and laid out specifically what the project would entail. We had to do a couple of change orders during the install, which took minimal effort to process. Once the project began it took 7 working days to complete. We had a hick-up with Star Nursery dropping off the wrong size decorative Rock, but Jose and Rafael corrected it within the hour. When the job was complete, many of my Neighbor's, after seeing the results, are going to use Northwest. Oh and before I forget, I can't say enough about Jose and Rafael's crews. They were on-time, courteous, thoroughly cleaned up after each day and made it very pleasant for my Wife to observe and responded to her questions. They did an excellent job, and we can't be happier. We're very happy we chose Northwest for our backyard build-out! For us it was a pretty big project to include patio, walkways, artificial turf, plants, retaining walls, and a semi in-ground swim spa vault. Northwest stood out from the other highly rated companies we solicited from the very beginning. Most of them were either overpriced or they would drop an estimate off and take days to respond to questions. Tim, our estimator, was very helpful and responsive in developing/pricing various design solutions and then specifying/sourcing materials as we got closer to finalizing the contract. Along the way, the owner (Saul) even made some excellent suggestions that we incorporated. All good to this point - execution turned out even better! Can't say enough good things about Armondo and the crew that did the actual work. Hard-working and professional, but we were most impressed with their attention to detail. Northwest Landscaping and Maintenance have been SO PHENOMENAL!!! We had originally used someone else, and they left our back yard a mess! From Northwest Landscaping and Maintenance Alfonso and Armando came first. They had a HUGE job in front of them! They not only had to Demo what was already there, but they are also the ones who put in our Cement and Turf! I can not only walk outside again, but it is such a JOY to look out to see a FULLY Functional Backyard! Next we had Daniel come over to instal the most BEAUTIFUL Custom Gate I have EVER seen!!! It has a lock on both sides, which makes me feel completely safe letting my children go back there and play. I know they can't go anywhere, and no one can come in! Just moved in Las Vegas last summer 2020. We looked at 4 other landscaping companies and chose the 5th one which was Northwest Landscape. All 5 gave us quotes and Northwest came through with a better one. Jonathan was very helpful and gave us a good quote, gave us a computer generated picture of what the yard would look like in his design proposal, and so we ended up with Northwest instead. Northwest was very helpful in the HOA approval process before proceeding with the project. My wife, to her delight, made the selection for the plants. Once the HOA approved of the request, Landscaping started when our turn came, because of Covid-19 there was a slight delay on the start of the landscaping. Once it started, it took the landscaping 3 1/2 days to complete the yard, it included gravel, plants, artificial turf, drainage, and lighting. After it was done, my backyard was transformed from a plain dirt yard. My hats off to the landscaping crew as well. I know it was not easy to work in the hot summer sun when the landscaping took place. We are pleased with the results. read more

They are professionals that work with amazing (talented and clean-up daily) LV vendors and contractor specialists depending on the overall dream. They helped us bring our design to real life within cost management and dimensions, and all other factors considered. Michael was detailed from the beginning and throughout the project we realized quickly a very good listener. He partnered with us well to evaluate risk factors, safety, and long-term goals. We did landscape, hardscape and pool service with this company and Team to create a Zen backyard that utilized every inch of space. I hired Northwest Landscape & Maintenance for a complete conversion of my front and back yards from grass to desert landscaping. Jon came out to do my estimate. He was courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. I was greatly impressed by the crew who did the work. Despite the sweltering heat, they worked hard and completed the entire job in 2 days. Their crew leader, Pakas, communicated with me often and was happy to answer my questions. About a week after the job was completed, I noticed that grass (stubborn Bermuda) had began to pop up in an area of the front yard. I reached out to Jon who immediately sent someone out to assess the situation. Rafa and his team were diligent in ensuring that it was removed. We needed to pave our side yard, replace our gate and replace part of the front driveway that was poured 20 years ago so we can park our RV on the side of the house. We hired the Northwest Landscaping company and they did exceptional work!! Michael and the team are extremely professional, put together a fair bid, offered recommendations that met our needs, and delivered the work on time and on budget. The NL construction team was extremely friendly, very detailed, and mindful workers. They spent a lot of time making sure the job was done correctly and with a high caliber of craftsmanship. We have several neighbors who are having similar work done and we've noticed their concrete work is already discoloring, and looking aged while ours looks exactly as you would hope. In addition, we had them design and build a custom gate that looks beautiful. The gate quality is extremely good. We contracted NW Landscaping to swap most of the plants in our yard for ones that use less water and to transform it into a more natural "Red Rock" type environment. Jonathan managed a majority of the job for us and did an excellent job communicating, adjusting the contract several times, and designing something that was exactly what we hoped for. They listen to your wishes but also make great recommendations based on their expertise. The crew that handled the on-site work was prompt, very friendly, professional, and did a meticulous job. Everything was cleaned up thoroughly and they completed the work faster than we expected! We requested multiple quotes to landscape our back yard. Northwest Landscaping was in the middle. We liked Michael as soon as we met him. We gave him a rough idea of what we wanted and liked his input to help build our dream back yard even better. Northwest helped us with the HOA approval process and picking plants. We were pleasantly surprised by their attention to detail. We love how they did the lighting and the raised circular area for a fire pit. A major detail that we had to incorporate for the yard was for it to be tortoise-friendly. The area where our tortoise burrow was created is amazing. David, Jose, and Luis did amazing work installing everything. They had to work with a large section of pre-existing pavers and took the trouble to match them, so they will fade to match the pre-existing ones. They even swapped out some that had been stained by oil, without us having to ask. Northwest Landscape and Maintenance turned my yard from a ugly duckling into a beautiful swan.....we purchased our home in early March just b4 the Covid epidemic. It had been vacant for sometime and is on a busy main street our yard was the ugliest one. Our realtor recommended Antonio and his crew with the disclaimer that they are usually really busy. Antonio has experience working with the HOAs and from the first meeting thru the design to picking out plants that would work he is personable, knowledgeable and professional all the way. It was well worth the wait and I was not disappointed in any way. They completely demo'd the old yard including a killer big tree and put in a beautiful low maintenance desert landscaped yard. From start to finish we couldn't be happier. Our estimator came out and we discussed options that would meet our needs and our budget. After several revisions to the plans we finally approved one that met our needs. Once approved and the job was scheduled the crew start work. The job took a little longer than planned and we ran into an issue with the design. We called the office and they immediately focused on getting the job done first. There were a few damaged plants that were immediately replaced. We expected to have to pay more for the changes or at least discuss additional costs but to our surprise the actual invoice came in lower than the quote. Not only did they cover the cost of the mistake in the plans they discounted material where the estimate called for more than was used. I would recommend Northwest for any landscape construction. He wanted to charge me $2000.00 more than this company. This was the second estimate. He was very good at following up. He likes to talk more on the phone, but he does text as well. I thought he was very honest, helpful, and gave great recommendations with his experience. I love the after pictures. He let me pick where I wanted the bushes/trees to go, and the type from the approved list. I am getting a rebate back that almost covers everything but $300.00. Then Ancelmo informed me that the City of Henderson has a rebate program too. Now that the work is done and I have the form certified, I submitted to them the notarized form and they will pay me an additional $725.00. After it's all said and done, I am making $425.00 total and then I don't have to pay my gardener $1400.00 a year. Plus my water will be going down. I think this is going to save me about $2000.00 a year.

If you continuously ask, he'll say 'oh that's just not how things are done'. Showed up for 2-3 hour increments at best. Maybe one time every couple of weeks. They were here a total of 4 times- 5 if you include the subcontractor for the patio cover. So, the original 10 day estimate Randy had given would have been ample. Finished product is nice, but contract was signed 4/8- work didn't start until 6/10 and wasn't completed until 8/19. It honestly felt like we were continuously pushed off for higher paying clients. End result= nice, but the process wasn't worth it. I should have gone with someone else.
