I've only had my nails done a few times but I always come here and they have never disappointed me. This last time around I had Christine do my nails and I think I'll continue to see her if possible, she knocked it out of the park- I LOVE LOVE LOVE these nails! I will most definitely be back in a few weeks. I have done dip and regular gel manicures and for me personally the gel manicure feels better and seems to last longer, but both were gorgeous. This salon does take walk-ins for manicures and pedicures, but it's best to call and make an appointment, especially if you want a specific person. Helen and Christine have been my go tos but everyone here is amazing, I suggest getting anyone and then testing the vibe, it's important to keep a positive attitude about trying something new. read more

Everything I asked for she told me no and told me I needed the more expensive option. She tried adding chrome powder and I told her no. She swapped the regular polish for gel when I wasn't looking. I told her I really didn't want gel and she said I had to get gel due to the type of sandals I was wearing and the regular polish would smudge. At the end of the service she apologized for the misunderstanding, stating she assumed I wanted gel on my toes cause my fingers had gel (that I did at home for free). She still charged me for the gel even though she admitted she was in the wrong. Not very happy. read more

Went in as a "girls day" with my mom and my daughter. The person working on my mother's mani/pedi refused to listen!! My mom asked for regular polish on her pedi, the tech told her "no" and did gel. She then added chrome powder without asking if my mom wanted it. On her manicure, she changed the color my mom had selected, saying "no, it's prettier," and then added chrome again, and a flower. My mom kept saying no to everything, but tech just kept saying "no, it's pretty". Even after complaining and explaining that none of what was done was what we wanted and reiterating the fact she had said no to the "upgrades," we were still charged for all the extra items we did not agree to. To top it off, even though gel was used, my mom's manicure chipped before the end of the day. We won't be back. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but this is probably the worst manicure I've ever had. The nail tech I had genuinely didn't seem to care or try.. He didn't cut or shape my nails. I've had a lot of terrible nail experiences in Albuquerque, and was starting to believe I'd never get a good mani pedi while living here- until I went to NV nails! I was able to book a same day appointment for a gel mani and a pedicure, but they also take walk ins. I got stuck in traffic and was a little late but they were still able to get me into a chair quickly. They had a ton of color options for gel, dip, and regular polish- it was really impressive! If I hadn't gone in to the salon with a specific idea in mind it would've been tough to make a decision. There was a short wait while the gal that did my nails got everything together but it allowed my feet to soak and despite her apologies I didn't really notice the wait. I was given a menu of services to look over as I was waiting and it was so great to be able to see all the different types of services they offer and their respective prices. There's nothing worse than thinking it'll be one price and then checking out and getting something totally different. The pedicure was wonderful. I was asked how short to cut my toenails and she did the perfect amount of pumicing. She even gave my legs and feet a quick steam with a hot towel before painting my nails. My Birkenstock's are pretty much the only sandals I wear, but they're not exactly great for pedicures. Luckily it wasn't an issue because they have little foam flip flops for you to wear while your nails dry. Also, for sanitation purposes you get to take home the file, pumice stone, and buffing block they used on your feet. They are easily the best nail tools I have at home. When we moved over to the manicure station I realized I wanted a nail design and had forgotten my phone ‍ so I sketched out what I wanted ( a cactus and some polka dots underneath) and she told me she'd try her best. And oh my god. She did amazing! My nails look so cute and are going to be such a hit at my fiesta themed bridal shower this weekend. The service was wonderful and all the staff was so nice. I was the second to last person there but I didn't feel rushed at all. Highly recommend! read more

I rarely write reviews but my experience was so brutal. I hope this review can deter you from giving your money to this business. My dip nail cracked after just putting my shoe on. I went back to get it fixed and instead of removing the nail she sanded it down & added layers. I thought that was strange but she's the tech. The next day that same nail cracked in the same spot as she did not properly fix it. Except this time it took more than half of my nail with it. I had to remove the nail hanging by a thread of my skin. It was gruesome and painful. I bled for 1 hour and you know, broken nails happen. When you do things to genuinely break them. I did not. Here's the part that makes me write a review: I communicated with the tech that I can only use one functioning arm.So this put me at a big disadvantage. I went into the nail salon to explain what happened and Toni was super rude and dismissed me entirely, wouldn't even look me in the eye! He told me to call Helen so I did and then she refused to let me speak, talked over me, and lied about when I'd had my nails done even though I have proof of receipt! When I tried to communicate she hung up on me. I'm in disbelief of the way they handled my incident. I will say one good thing about this salon is Minnie the tech was kind and caring despite everything. read more

I went in for Halloween themed nails. The people were friendly and helpful, but the lady doing my nails either couldn't understand me or wasn't listening. I asked for short nails because I type all day long for my job. I did NOT get short. I asked her to go shorter and she just shook her head. I asked her to make them thinner and she said ok and the end result was thick and wonky. I asked for a Halloween bat design before we started and she said she could do that. Yet when it came time to do the bats she showed me pics on her phone saying she could only do those. The two designs were blood dripping and a spider web. The web was cute, but the blood dripping was not good. The next day the pointer finger on my left hand chipped and all this black oozed out of it. Now it's a hole. I went in to get a mani-pedi on a Saturday morning. After picking out the color and turning to sit down and wait my turn, I dropped the bottle of polish on the floor and it broke! Glass, polish on the floor. I felt awful and embarrassed. Everyone turned to look at me; the staff and the customers. The owner did not look happy. She looks to the floor where the polish is then to me, to the floor then to me; several more times, scowling, saying nothing. It was awful. The mani and pedi I received was good, I had a good technician. When I went to pay I was charged 4 extra dollars for the bottle of polish I broke. It seemed a little petty. I've owned a business before and 4 dollars is nothing to pay to save a customer from embarrassment and get a customer for life. I thought they could have done more to make me feel ok and let me know it was alright, not just scowl and say nothing. I totally understand it was my fault and they had every right to charge me, but there's no way I'm going back . read more

I saw the interaction with this so-called injured Daniel and it was obvious that he was doing nothing more than trying to get free service. I was there witnessed the whole interaction, when I offered to pay for his service in effort to help defuse the situation that was quickly escalating, he was more than happy to accept. He shouldn't of come back if he felt like he was injured in the past to have more service, demand that it be given to him free, then walk out! This is the best nail salon in Albuquerque. Helen is the new owner. She is amazing in every way. Great customer service, great nails, great employees, and the cleanest shop in town. I use to go to Helen when she worked for someone at a different salon and I made sure to keep in contact and follow her over to her new shop. Helen worked 10 years in the medical field and she keeps her environment cleaner than any hospital does or any hospital standard.
