Fast, clean and professional! Even on a weekend, they got to me very quick without an appointment!

Went in for a fill and two of my nails already broke and it hadn't even been a week. I got one fixed a few days after getting it done and the very next day another one broke. I even tipped the woman that did it, I paid just under $80 for them to do my nails. They were done awful & so thin, I broke them doing the simplest of tasks. I have been going to this nail salon for about 5+ years and I have never had any problems or complaints. I got my nails done by a lady who I've never seen before in the nail salon. I thought that they were ok, not the best but just ok. The next day they all cracked, and I couldn't go back to get them fixed because we were out of town all week. If I've never seen you before in the salon sorry but I'm not gonna get my nails done by you again. My daughter got a new set, pedicure and I got gel manicure and paid $180. That was way overpriced especially for my crappy nails. I will be careful next time who I let do my nails. read more

It was just a mediocre pedicure. The music was very loud in there and the employees were singing along with it. It was also very hot. Barely scrubbed or scraped my feet and the massage was laughable. She did a good job on painting my nails though. read more

So I had Tyson as my nail tech. He was very aggressive, rushed my nails, hurt me multiple times. And now this uneven/lopsided acrylic makes my nails look like stubs! I wanted a soak off then overlay cause my natural nails WERE long, but he insisted on filling them down (MUCH shorter Than I told him to) and did a fill to get me out quickly.. which I don't understand because we checked in 2 hours before closing (he was done in 30mins..) I've tried multiple different places but I have NEVER been this dissatisfied with someone's work. I will never go back to this place. I made multiple attempts at conversation to no response... I got my nails done here April 11 ,2025. The experience was good . The customer service & the person who did my nails was great & professional, BUT A week later my nails started to fall off. My granddaughter and I bonded over mani/pedi at Elegant Nails and Spa. Upon arrival at the salon, we were asked to wash our hands. We were met immediately by Tammy who prepared our pedicure chairs and feet soaking tubs. Joyce did an excellent job with my pedicure and so did Tammy with my granddaughter's pedicure. Tammy did my nails with the dip powder process. I have had my nails done since 1992 and have tried regular manicure, acrylic, gel and dip powder. I've tried dip powder only once back home in Colorado, but found Tammy's process much more meticulous and clean. I love it! Mia also did an excellent job on my granddaughter's manicure. All in all, Elegant is a clean place with professional nail technicians. Not only do they know their business, they are also friendly and have great sense of humor. When I return to Albuquerque again, I will definitely have my nails and toes done at Elegant!! Thank you, Tammy, Joyce and Mia, for the wonderful job you did!!! read more

I decided to try this nail salon based solely on the fact that it is conveniently located near me, and I needed my nails done for an event A.S.A.P.. and let me just say, boy am I glad I chose Elegant Nails and Spa! As soon as I walked in, I felt very serene and peaceful. They had relaxing spa music playing lightly in the background (which I myself enjoy much more than local radio stations) and the shop was exceptionally clean and welcoming. I wanted something festive for Halloween and went in with a picture for reference. My nail tech, Hannah, did an amazing job. My nails came out just like the picture, if not better! I have received so many compliments since getting them done and they still look as beautiful as they did on day one, two weeks later. I definitely recommend this salon and I am looking forward to returning! read more

I really had high hopes for this place and my first visit was a positive experience. However, I'm disappointed to report that after today's manicure I do not plan to return. The nail tech (one of the older gentlemen working there) CUT my cuticle with the drill file and caused it to bleed. Not only that, but he didn't apologize at all! I paid and gave a tip, but I'm afraid I will not be returning. Having my nails done should not involve pain!!! Beware. read more

based on some other reviews, I went to elegant nails on a quiet Wednesday afternoon around 1:30. place was clean, staff pleasant and attentive (and everyone spoke English). lovely golden pedicure that lasted a a bit over an hour but felt longer, was that pleasant. staff seemed amicable and occasionally chatted with each other in their native language. only drawback was the customer next to me on a cellphone call. salons should not permit cellphone conversations. i was almost finished or else I would have asked her to postpone call. But it's easier if salons would make it a policy about cellphone use. read more

Just left his place and they seem to be under new management. I've been coming here since they opened but will not be coming back. They charged me an extra $5 just to buff my nails which they never had before. I felt totally ripped off especially because I get such a simple manicure requiring no painting of nails which would take them longer. I have never been charged anywhere in town just to have my nails buffed with a manicure. Seemed pretty ridiculous and when I expressed my concern they couldn't care less. I told them I wouldn't be back. I would avoid this place if they are treating there regular customers like this now. There are so many better places in town that charge far less. read more

I recently went into the salon for a gel manicure. I already had on gel polish. The male nail technician began by trying to file the polish off my nails instead of using the power tool that works much better. He filed one of my fingers so hard he made it bleed. He also left sores on most of my cuticles. To top it off the gel polish, on the thumb he made bleed, completely came off within a week. I went to another nail salon the next day after the polish on my thumb completely came off. I was told it didn't stick because the nail had been filed down so thin. That being said, I have used this salon quite a bit for pedicures and never had an issue. There are some women who do good work at this salon . Just don't let the men touch you if you choose to go there. read more

My nail tech Kim is amazing at nail art and gel dip. I was able to just walk in and immediately be seated and helped. She is clearly very talented and was able to figure out how to do the nails I wanted from a Google image search. I was also very impressed with the salon itself. The owner, Joyce, maintains a very clean and sanitary operation. New pedicure bath liners for each customer, as well as sanized nail tools and hot towels. I really liked the decor - very modern and simple. The nail polish books are also a nice choice for polish selection. read more

Let me start by saying I've NEVER felt the need to review a salon. Well up until today's experience I will definitely not be returning to elegant nails and spa and making sure my other friends do not either. Although the talent is there is a lack of professionalism. I made an appointment with the technician Jen, a month ago, because I needed to make sure I had all appointments in line prior to me leaving town again. To which I was told I was penciled in... Patiently I waited for 25 minutes and she continued to have fun conversations about football & such with another customer, as though my time was not worth hers. This was my first time ever in my life having my nails done. I was nervous. I was very disappointed because I pictured it differently. I can still see my natural nails on 2 fingers on the sides! I called and asked if this is normal. He said yes. I never seen that on my mom's nails. Guess thats why I never had them done! The good: This is a brand new salon, the place is clean and cool and well lit. The pedicure chairs are comfortable and the prices are good. I got a decent pedicure. The not so good: I asked for a dipping powder manicure which included taking off my previous dipped polish. The first thing the owner did was bring out the drill to "take the first layer off" prior to soaking my nails in foil. I asked if he could do it a different way, because I really hate the drill, he insisted it would be fine and no damage to my own nails. Then after a basic pedicure that did not include hot stones or steamed towels, he finally removed my previous dipped nail polish. My fingers soaked in acetone for about 40 minutes. The awful: The owner then proceeded to do my dipping manicure. This was the worst experience ever. He used the drill file again, ON MY NATURAL NAILS, which I had already expressed to him was a big concern for me. I picked a sparkly blue powder and he proceeded to do 3 layers of with a layer of white powder between each layer of blue - including the top layer! So the pretty blue was not sparkly because it had a layer of white powder on top. He filed the layers a little bit, but put multiple gouges in the nails with the drill, so much so that he had to redid my right thumb which turned out awful. Finally, he just slapped on the top coat and pronounced them finished. I barely had a massage on my hands and arms. My nails were so thick, I could hardly pick things up. It was the worst manicure I've ever had. I kept it for 3 days and went to my regular salon back home to get them done right. I think this may have been his first time ever doing a dipping powder manicure. I left the salon feeling like I had been stripped of $50 which he said was a deal for their grand opening. I would have gone back and asked for another tech to fix it, but I was just going through town, I am not a local. I hope the other techs at this salon are better at this service. It seems like this would be a nice salon otherwise. Buyer beware, if the gentleman who owns the place offers to do your manicure, ask for someone else. read more

Very nice, clean salon with sterile practices (autoclave gets instruments, protective covers for pedicure bath). I had gel manicure, and my friend had dip. Both turned out perfect! Plus the new owner and the technicians were all super nice and friendly. Definitely recommend. read more
