I had the teal/emerald chrome nails last month which was great and this is another great one. I also got a terrific relaxing Pedicure from her really nice husband but the leg and foot massage is the best part! A really nice staff that stays busy. The "polish" there really lasts especially the Gels which last at least 5 weeks because then your nails have grown out. I hated to give up my beautiful teal/emerald nails BUT they'll be back. read more

Living in close proximity to a local nail salon, I had considered it as a potential go-to place for my manicure needs. With its convenient location, I was excited to finally give it a try. Upon entering the salon, I was greeted by a woman with long black curly hair who immediately asked, What do you need done?There was no polite greeting or warmth in her tone; instead, she simply informed me that there would be a wait and asked me to take a seat. This initial interaction set a negative tone for my visit, as I had hoped for a more welcoming atmosphere. After 15 minutes of waiting, I was called in for my appointment. I had taken the time to prepare my nails beforehand, ensuring they were cut, trimmed, and cleaned. I requested a basic full set of manicure nails with a pink base in an oval shape. However, the technician applied long, pointy oval nails instead. When I expressed my desire for shorter, oval nails, he responded that achieving this look would be difficult due to the width of my nails. This comment was surprising and disheartening, as I had never encountered such a response in my previous experiences at other nail salons. Despite my reservations, I chose to remain respectful and allowed the technician to continue with the service. I had looked at my nails and thought he had done a decent job. However, my satisfaction was short-lived. Once I got to my car, I noticed that the ring finger nail on my left hand was shorter than the corresponding nails on my right hand. This inconsistency raised concerns about the attention to detail in the work performed. Upon returning home, I examined my nails under better lighting and was dismayed to find that they were not only painful but also improperly shaped. The sides of my nails were tender from excessive filing, which added to my dissatisfaction. On my pictures you can tell the sides are not shaped to my nails and the base will be falling off soon. For the service, I paid 50 dollars and included their prices. While the establishment appeared clean and well-maintained, my overall experience left much to be desired. I would not recommend this nail salon to my friends and family based on the terrible service I received. My visit served as a reminder that a convenient location does not always guarantee a positive experience, and I will be seeking a different salon in the future. read more

I came here because my mom and godmother are longtime patrons of the salon. Jennifer is sooo sweet, but for some reason has never done my nails - she hands me off to someone else every time. Kathy did my mani once and did a great job. Really solid excellent attention to detail. I was a little annoyed by her upselling of dip vs gel (what I went in for), but was happy overall. The last few times Jennifer has put me with Catherine and... to say it hasn't gone well is an understatement. She has seemed rushed with me to the point of frustration if I don't put my foot back in the water or take it out fast enough. The first time she gave me a deluxe pedicure without me asking for it. Honestly, it wasn't worth it. She didn't do the exfoliation long enough and she didn't let the oil absorb into my skin before wiping it off. Catherine also has a bad habit of cutting my toenails round which I don't like and didn't ask for. She not only cuts them round, but she cuts them super far down to the point she has cut me and caused me to bleed every time. She scolds me for not going in soon enough to have my ingrown toenails trimmed and then doesn't take care of them. She actually cuts them round which - wait for it - causes ingrown toenails. That would all be bad enough, but the constant cutting my toenails so short that I bleed because she's cutting live tissue has got to be a health code violation. I'm giving this two stars because Jennifer is nice and seems to do good work for my mom although the nail polish always chips unusually fast. read more

I went in to the Angel's nail salon on San Pedro and explained that I had recently had a total hip replacement. I told the nice owner, Jennifer, that I was embarrassed because I can't shave my legs yet or cut my own toenails. I have been stressed about having my first post op pedicure. Jennifer was sweet and when I asked if she would be the one doing my pedicure, she said yes. When I came back 35 minutes later, she had someone named Catherine do my pedicure instead. I have waited two hours before writing this review as I didn't want to leave a negative review. I feel compelled to warn future customers. The only thing Catherine ever said during the appointment was, "Let me move it! Let me move it! Let me move it!". She scolded me like a child when I was trying to position my foot for her. She appeared to be seething the entire time. She cut/filed my toe nails in a pointed oval shape. They look like finger nails. What a horrible experience. I tipped Catherine 33%, not because she was a kind human being, not because she did a good job, but because my feet needed help. Jennifer, if you read customer reviews, you will see negative reviews on Catherine. Maybe you can coach her on how to be a better person. Or at least neutral? I won't be back. read more

Update: MY NAILS LASTED 36days before I had to get a rebase, two fingers had lots of jewels and literally not one gem popped off for over a month I'm beyond impressed, the nails didn't chip or break at all I will post pictures... first pic is the day they were done and second picks 35 days later I was offered a discount and another appointment set for the next day. Paul my nail tech has apologized for double booking himself and offered to do my nails at a discounted price. I showed up at the scheduled time and after 15 minutes I was seated and offered some water. The nail tech Paul did a wonderful job on my nails and made sure they were exactly what I wanted. The nails came out perfect and Paul really was super apologetic about what had happened the previous day, I believe he took all the necessary steps to show great customer service and provide me with the best he could do with the situation at hand which was a new appointment and a discounted full set of beautiful nails and I left the salon happy. read more

Finding a great nail salon with technicians who actually care is one of the hardest things to do, and me being the most picky person on the planet when it comes to my nails doesn't help the cause. Fortunately, I believe my search has finally come to an end. At Angels Care Salon they are just as the name states, Angels who care. From the moment I walked in over two weeks ago, I knew I had found "the one." The salon was very clean and well kept and I was instantly greeted and taken care of. I went in for a new set of acrylics and a gel pedicure. My technician's name was Vivi. She was extremely friendly and when I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she immediately got super excited and said that she was able to do that and how pretty it was going to look. This made me feel at ease and comfortable that my expectations would be met. Well let me tell you, Vivi not only met my expectations but completely exceeded them. My nails came out better than the reference picture! The shape is absolutely perfect and they held up extremely well the whole two weeks until my rebase appt. My pedicure came out just as perfect! I went back yesterday for my rebase appointment and I was just as blown away as the first time. I have taken myself and my girls ages 4 and 8 to different nail salons in the area! This is the 5th place we have been! We came here because they other place we made an appointment at was closed even though they BOOKED 3 of us the day before Valentine's Day!! I called Angels and the owner answered!! I have submitted a notarized formal complaint to the New Mexico health department on Angel Nails. I am deeply dismayed that the place that felt safe and clean two years ago has fallen into A true public health concern. I am saddened to write any bad review on yelp potentially turning away future customers and impacting a business and their bottom line. I am fairly certain my favorite skilled nail technician used unclean equipment on my feet and now question whether the tub liner was fresh or used. Not sure about that but that I call it into question is a concern. The nail tech of my friend carried a wicker basket full of haphazardly placed items to the back said "I'm going to clean the equipment." He returned no less than a minute later with the nail tools in what appeared to be the same plastic case. Clearly there was no time to autoclave them. Why would you put them back in that dirty plastic case if you did? Still wondering maybe I was wrong. Then I witnessed another nail tech take that same wicker basket of now obviously unclean tools directly over to the manicure station. I am 100% certain that was the same tools used on my friends feet that we are now being used on the hands of another client for a manicure. There were no tools in bags that had come out of an autoclave. There were no safety practices that I saw - there was no obvious cleanliness as I had witnessed two years previously. There is no doubt in my mind that tools were reused without cleaning from one person's foot to another person's hands. For this reason the health department needs to go in and investigate. I post this here to give the business a chance to clean it up before the health department comes in. And number two to prevent anyone from getting infections that are sure to spread with these unclean practices. read more

The nail tech here is so nice and always does my nails so pretty. He promised his mom swore by this place. We walked right in and they sat us down immediately. My tech clarified from the get go exactly what I wanted and how much it would cost. The chairs are great, the service is amazing, and the banter is friendly and fun. After only being there a few minutes I had a huge smile on my face, and I was laughing. I'm completely disappointed. I have never started crying because I had my nails done so poorly but today was the first . It took two hours to get them done and I got charged 60 bucks. This salon is near my house and I had known Paul was who I was recommended to. I could not go to him due to someone else having an appointment but I still was open to someone else and I completely regret it. I am so disappointed. I'm sure if I went to Paul I would be satisfied and this review would be higher. Due to this experience I would NOT recommend and I will not be returning. I showed her a picture and they look nothing like it. She hurt me and when I flinched she PULLED UP MY HAND and said " oh pretty". One of my nails was put on crooked but I didn't want to say anything due to it being two hours long and my nail already in pain. I was also turning on the gel machine for her. I showed her a picture then she processed to tell me " pick out the gel colors". I was also told my set would be 50 and it turned out to be 60. I hate giving bad reviews. But getting a terrible set when I pay more than 50 is absolutely absurd. When you sit in a chair for two hours and get cut AND lied to about price is absurd. I'm so disappointed. It's Mother's Day...930am...and Nathan and I are the only ones here! It truly feels like an Oasis! A truly relaxing experience. The lights are dim, the music is low and the only conversation is ours. It's quiet. And if you haven't had the exquisite experience of a pedicure by Nathan...you are TRULY missing out. I am here only two weeks after my last appointment due to an ingrown nail--I do not get them often...but when I do...I become a petulant child and act as if I am living with a compound fracture...yep, I am ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE! So, I tell Nathan of my toe woe...and while it hurts to have fixed--he did it with impeccable care and it was over quickly. It's IMMEDIATE relief!!! At 10-other customers began to trickle in for some of Nathan's early morning toe attention! I DO NOT WANT YOU TO THINK THIS IS A "happy endings" place--but I leave here THRILLED, relaxed, READY TO TACKLE Costco with the after-church crowds! The thing that threw me off was how she didn't use fresh tools for me. I was not asked if I like my nails rounded or square. That's like THE BASIC thing to ask to a customer who is there for just nails ! Isn't it ? My nail cleaning was done in 5 min ! I don't know why they were in so much rush . 'Scuse me while I whip out this metaphor....ahem....Imagine being a long time fan of, say, the Green Bay Packers, only to wake up one day and realize that your team is now the Oakland Raiders. The sense of disappointment probably can't be overstated here. Angels is still clean, and the deluxe pedi still comes with all the bells and whistles, but the team is just going through the motions here. They're continually overbooked, and one is hard pressed to find new employees' licenses on display. The cute white coats are long gone, and the general feeling is that just about anybody could walk in off the street and start giving pedis to customers. Not 3 minutes after slapping polish on my toes, the guy started shoving my shoes on, explaining that other customers were waiting. What, they're paying more than I am? Not surprisingly, my polish got smeared and bubbly within the hour. For what Angels is still charging, customers deserve an A Game pedi every time, but it's a factory feel on this playing field.
