My mom's toe got infected after her pedicure. It was red and swollen with pus coming out, she went to ask if she can soak her foot in the tub with the barbicide disinfectant they have at the salon because she read that would help. She wasn't asking for a refund or anything else from them. They right away got defensive and said it was her fault that it got infected. She took a video of her interaction with the manager Lillies and I wish I could post it on here because she was very rude and openly said she was not taking responsibility for this. I don't think they disinfect and sanitize their tools properly. I understand that things like this can happen but the way they handled this situation after my mom went to address it with them is unacceptable. Customers be aware! read more

Moon Nails & Spa was a quick, friendly, clean & professional experience. I had gel removed from my nails and a classic pedicure. I thought the nail salon was extremely clean and the employees were all very nice. Overall fair pricing and nice spot. I'll be back. Notes: -Their website says they open at 9:30am on weekdays- but I made a 9am & they were open. -Their is an additional fee for using cards and a bit of a discount for paying in cash -I was the only one in for the hour I was there! I was in Albuquerque for a family wedding when disaster struck and my nail broke! I called Moon Nails & Spa from my hotel, and they quickly squeezed me in to fix my nail just hours before the wedding. I will forever be grateful to this amazing nail salon for helping me on such short notice before a big family event. The nail techs were extremely skilled, and even though they didn't have the exact same color I had for my normal nail salon, they found one that matched perfectly! I love how clean this place is and how nice the staff is here! I have tried a few places around town but the quality of my gel manicures and gel pedicures have been the best here. The service is also really nice. Other places that I've been going to have been really rough with manicures to the point of where it hurts. They are so gentle here and I appreciate that so much! Please be patient when coming here. Much like other businesses around town, they are short staffed. But they are extremely accommodating in fitting people into their schedule. I have been back three times so far and have had my services with Lily. Lily is the bomb dot com. She's super nice, gentle, and always makes my nails look amazing! WORST ever. ANNA's customer service, quality of work, and ability to control her time, is the worst I have ever seen, and I've been getting my nails done for 20 years! She is so greedy, keeping customers with appointments backed up, with our nails halfway completed while she moves on to other customers also with appointments. I'm not talking moving on to one customer. I'm talking about having three customers sitting there with nails halfway completed, waiting while she moves on to other customers also with appointments. 0/10 wouldn't recommend. The manicurist was rude and cut my cuticle. After noticing I was in pain, she continued to dig at my cuticle regardless of it now bleeding. Manicurist only apologized at the end of my service after I became more and more upset at seeing my finger bleeding. Only offered $5. I go here all the time they have great customer service. I enjoy bringing my friends and family here. It's clean, and they are very gentle.

It is on the cheaper side, and you get what you pay for. Some of my toes were not filed, some were but not evenly. They pretty much forced me to have gel polish. I told them originally I didn't want it, and they pushed the gel display. I told them I wanted glitter and gave the glitter gel book. I took the box of colored nail samples and picked a cool looking glitter, that had a variety of colors as it glistened. I showed the lady, she took the gel glitter book and said that the other color in the book would be fine. I mentioned I wanted the variety of color offered in the one I picked out. She took it to someone else and came back and said no. Why have samples of colors only to not offer them? I paid extra for a better service, and my toes have definitely had better service. read more

Anna is the ABSOLUTE BEST. I'm from Chicago and have lived in ABQ for a little over a year and a half. It took me that long to FINALLY find a mail tech that does my nails as the tech I've had for over 4 years back at home. There was NO DIP on my cuticles (as other places did), the shape and thickness was spot on, and she had a vast selections of dip/gel matching colors. Huang, her mother in law does my toes FLAWLESSLY. She takes her time to make sure the shape is filed to perfection, the shine lasts for weeks, and there is no polish on the skin. They are all very very fun and friendly PLUS if it's your birthday, when you check in, the overhead speaker played a happy birthday song. read more

After reading all the reviews, I decided to try Moon Nails for my pedicure. I called ahead and they said they could help me right away. The place was clean and a woman greeted me right away. Unfortunately, the man that helped me was not friendly. He was rushed and didn't pay attention to what I needed. At one point I kindly tried to explain that my heels needed extra attention and he said "I know". I felt like I was bugging him. After that, I kept quiet and let him finish. When I left, my toe nails were jagged and uneven. The paint was sloppy and my feet were still rough and dry. I received a survey and expressed my concerns hoping that they would offer to fix it. I only got a generic response thanking me for my feedback. I'm not one to leave a bad review. I always give second chances and communicate. However, no one called me and I even emailed the salon personally. This is bad service. Maybe I got someone during a bad day or moment (which happens) but to not call or email me back is unacceptable. Moon Nails, you need to do better. I had to go to a different salon and pay additional money to get my feet done properly. read more
