Every person that I've interacted with here has been very nice accept for Nina. She is tolerable at best. She does good work, but you can tell she wants you in and out of her chair and is not trying to be friendly and build a relationship at all. She did my eyebrows and I showed her a picture of the shape I wanted as had been done there before and she told me she could clean up my eyebrows and I'd get what I get. With my nails, I told her I didn't like the end result of two of my nails and she said, "it's not my fault" loudly in front of others. She had very little interest in making sure I left happy even though all she had to do was go over a portion of my nail with a different shade. She was more intent on arguing with me. I'm going to try out another place because I want to look forward to my sessions and not deal with Nina's blunt and unfriendly demeanor. read more

Here is another update on Nina at envy nails and spa I am very very disappointed in fact I'm angry!! And let me tell you I've been coming to her for a year service has been getting worse and worse the last few times I went she usually does a very good job like I stated before but today my middle finger nail cracked and I am so disappointed already cracked and that's because she was moving so fast and didn't use the nails that I really like when she uses as she put on the regular nail on my nails that I just don't like now I have to go back on Wednesday so she can fix his nail and it's gonna be the very last time she will ever see me or get any of my services again as I paid $200 the last time I was there for a full set a pedicure at my moms full set and happy care which I don't mind but I do mind when she does what she wants to do another thing is she loves using powder colors I feel like she's become too lazy to put color and gel on so she tries to convince you to just use powder colors I have this very terrible ugly berry red on nails .. Came in looking to get some simple French tips and left with one of the worst sets I've gotten. My friend understood Vietnamese and one of the men working there called me a "difficult customer" simple because I was trying to find a color that I liked. He then gave me to another lady who gave me the thickest acrylic sets. I wanted French tip, but last minute she told me "I don't have time for this" and left me with regular painted nails in a color that I did not like. I went in today and was almost immediately seated for my pedicure, and I got to enjoy the massage chairs before I got my technician. I got a male technician who did a fantastic job! I did not get his name, but he took his time working on my toes. I let him know I wanted gel, and I appreciated the fact that he told me right away what the extra charge would be. He did a great job massaging my feet. I really liked that he did not rush, and he took his time perfecting my nails. When he began painting my nails he showed me the color, and asked me if I liked it before he continued. Overall, I hope I get this guy again! Nina is the best..and I love her shaping . I moved to Redlands and have been trying salons there but they do not work .So I take the 30 minute drive just to get my nails done here. I get really bad ingrown toenails and the other salons always hurt after a few days but after a pedi from here my toes feel amazing. I don't remember her name but shes always wearing a rhinestone clip when I'm there, and she gives the best pedis and massages .she is a little rough, but she really gets in there and trust your feet will feel amazing after. Went in on Saturday for a manicure and these chipped on Tuesday it only lasted 4 days $30 down the trash . I was disappointed on how they came out and how the guy did my nails he seemed not to know about manicures or I don't know what his problem was. He was doing the most ridiculous thing he would paint one nail and then put it under the uv and so on one, after all that they looked horrible and I was just not happy with his work. I initially walked in with acrylic nails and asked for a manicure and removal of nails. They said ok and seated me right away. The guy starts cleaning my hands and I notice he takes out his acrylic stuff. I then tell him I want a manicure I don't want a fill, he then asks me if I'm sure and I tell him yes. He then proceeds to insist that I'd get a fill I tell him fine and show him a design and tells me he's not able to do it so I show him a few more and he says no because it's a fill. So I finally give up and tell him to remove my nails and to just give me a manicure he keeps insisting that I get a fill. Anyways long story short the people who attended me are IDIOTS. The guy was clearly not a manicure person he was an acrylics tech. They must have thought I was the idiot because I know for a fact I said manicure and removal of nails. Review update... So I just have to say that after I got my original manicure my nail ripped the very next day. This has nothing to do with their workmanship this is mainly because I have brittle nails. I came back and they fixed me up right away. And they were happy to do it no awkwardness at all. I'm leaving right now from having a manicure done by Bella, and she is amazing! She has such a great personality and did another fine job. I really do love this place! I work about 5 minutes from this location and did a general google search for nail salons. I went to NV Nails even though it had no reviews on google. I called ahead and asked their gel manicure price ($20) and if they could take me on my lunch hour and they said they could. I walked in and was greeted immediately, which is nice. I sat down with Tina and told her I was on my lunch hour. My nails were a mess! She did a clean neat job and made it in the hour mark. I will definitely be coming back. I love this place because of Julie, the nail technician that I go to. The few times I haven't gotten Julie, I was helped by technicians that were just as good. This time, I went in, and I even showed the technicians a picture of what I usually get done. Worried, I kept telling her I wa nted it a certain way and she said that she knew best so I trusted her. She was very rough and did not take her time at all. My fingers are still throbbing and if you see my pinky, you can see where she ripped a little bit of skin from filing so hard. There is still some light blood. The thumb came out short and stubby. I was very disappointed this time around. What also usually takes other technicians about 45 to an hour to so, took her 20 minutes. She put no effort into making them look good. read more

I got the classic pedicure and a gel manicure which came out to a total of $35. Very relaxing, I didn't wait at all to be helped and they had me in and out so quickly! The owner she's a skinny and Petite, she has the worst attitude and will yell at you from across the room to speak to you instead of approaching you. For the past 6months I've gone to "dom who does set and pedicure" i called before I came in for a set and pedi at 10:00am I came in today as I normally do to go to him and they gave me the wrong dom and when I went to the right dom he said he can't do my set because he's never done fill. I have images of his work I don't understand why he's stating that. Okay so the owner humiliated me and argued with me in front of all of the guest. And when it was time to do my fill no one in the salon wanted to do my nails. Of course she made a big scene and I responded back to her and it was just a mess I felt so overwhelmed so embarrassed I should've left as I felt the bad energy. Being that I am Vietnamese and have family in the nail business, I have never paid for nail services. That's besides the point because I don't really like getting my nails done anyways; I enjoy buying nail polishes and just painting it myself. DETAILS Located on University and Chicago right next to the Lee's Sandwiches that's opening soon. The shop is kinda small but how everything is arranged made it appear bigger than it actually was. The decor is simple, cute, and modern. The color of the paint was bright and colorful. Because it's new, everything was clean, tidy, and neat. The ladies that work there are very friendly and they take pride in their work. I actually recognized some of the people that work here too since they used to work at Diamond Nails across the street. Since there was a grand opening, they had food and drinks. They served all of their customers food and I thought it was such a nice gesture to eat while I was getting a pedicure. You can tell that it's not just a business, it's also a family. The way everyone was interacting with one another you just know that they love what they do. They also have a lot of options for OPI and China Glaze nail polishes :) PROCESS I wanted to experience a pedicure so that's exactly what I got. I was seated in the most comfortable chair that massaged my back. My feet were being soaked in warm water with jets and it made me feel at ease. The lady removed the nail polish that was already on my feet and then started clipping the skin around my toes. She was very gentle and made sure I was comfortable. She proceeded to scrub my feet and my calves and it made my feet feel so soft! My toes and feet look and felt amazing! I was very happy with the results. The prices were reasonable as well. I don't always get my nails done but when I do, I will return here. My experience was superb. I recommend UCR students or anyone around the area to give this place a chance. read more

I was in a rush and though i dont have an usual shop a place ive enjoyed before was incredibly busy so i decided to come here. Before i came i called and asked for the wait time and price for a full set of regular short square nails. They told me a 5-10 min wait and it would be 20$. Cool. I walked in and they were busy but had no waiting patrons. No one greeted me and no one asked me if i needed help. Not even a "what do you need"? Few mins passed with my awkward standing in the front desk so i decided to sit down. I was waiting for about another 3 mins when someone else walked in. She also stood there awkward. A guy who looked like a manager asked her if she needed help and directed her to a pedicure chair. I was so irritated but always decide to be respectful so i stood up towards him. He then asked if id been helped so i told him id called and wanted a full set. He sat me down right away!! I had an older lady who also didnt greet me or even made eye contact with me during our whole entire time! Though i dont like to converse much she never gave an effort other then when i told her how long to cut my nails. I told her short and she cut them at a short/medium length and asked if thats fine i said ok and we continued. While she was putting the first acrylic nail on she told me itd be 25$. That was seriously pushing my buttons but at this point i didnt care so i gave her a confused "ok...". I chose not to sit there with an attitude so i was smiling, watching the tv. Everything was over QUICKLY and it was probably the shortest set ive ever sat with. She put no work or effort in to my nails and spent the last half of it speaking on her cell phone with her daughter. to top it off the worst part is that my nails are INCREDIBLY thin. I know somewhat about acrylic application and where my cuticle meets, she made it liquidy and it seeped above my cuticles. There was no second or third (stress) ball and it feels like my nails are going to break easily and painfully. She BARELY touched the cuticle up with the drill so i am going to fix it myself. I was so irritated but decided to just be quiet and polite and simply refuse to come back instead of criticizing her on what she already knows she should've done. My bf tipped her 5$ (too generous) her mood suddenly changed (was smiling and saying thank you) and i left. the nails were done, i was in a rush, and didnt want to ruin my weekend. I needed to share this experience however because as unpicky and kind (not to mention WELL-TIPPING) of a client i am, i felt totally opposite of how i should feel at a nail salon/spa: welcomed, special and beautiful. As much as i wanted to like this place, i definitely wont be back. The 2 stars i did give them was for the nice new and beautifully furnished interior. Thats it. read more

This place SHOULD NOT have a three star rating. I've been going here since I moved to Riverside a few years ago and I have never been let down. They have so many gel color options and their customer service is amazing. I love supporting a family owned business this family is just so sweet. My gel mani always lasts 2-3 weeks and then I'm right back in for a new one. Because the salon is in a tougher part of town, they deal with some not so ideal customers and I think that's where the negative reviews come from. *Tips can only be left in cash so make sure that you have cash when you arrive. I have FINALLY found a nail place that I am happy with! My sister has been coming here since they opened it and she highly recommended it to me. I was previously going to Luxury nails on Madison and was very unsatisfied. First visit was on a Thursday after 5 pm and the place was FULL with customers, that was a good sign so I returned on a different day at an earlier time and was helped right away. Nina did my full set just how I wanted them, no actually they were better than what I had asked for. She gave me many options, answered all my questions regarding powder colors.
