After spending over $25,000.00 in extensive repairs to our…read more31ft boat, we got our boat back and the windlass (electronic anchor system), and fresh water system no longer worked. They forgot to re-connect the main power line to the windlass which I found and fixed myself. Then we were told we needed a new fresh water pump. I took another look myself. In fact they had knocked the main water inlet fitting loose which caused an air lock in the pump. I fixed that myself too by purging the system. We don't need a new pump! We were never provided with an original work order estimate. After all the work was done we received a difficult to read report which was sparsely itemized. We had to return the boat so many times, it was embarassing! One of the original things they were supposed to fix and never did was oil in the bilge. We still have oil in the bilge! I had asked the owner if he would meet with my wife and me. He ignored our request for two weeks. Finally, he had someone from the office call to tell us that they were not going work on our boat any more! There is much much more to this story! We cannot recommend this company!

We…read morebrought our performance boat to Legend Performance Marine (LPM) to replace both 502 motors with Mercury factory remanufactured long blocks -- a $55,000 job. What followed was an absolute nightmare. The short version: * Massive delays, broken promises, and total lack of communication * Boat was promised by March -- work didn't even start until well after * First set of motors were "lost," requiring a second order * Paint job was done incorrectly -- twice * Lied about successful water test -- boat took on water the moment it was launched * Drain plug left out during attempted fix * Stereo system was stolen under LPM's care, and they didn't inform us -- only admitted it when we noticed it on the lake * Replaced high-end amp with used, low-quality junk * Canvas storage cover returned with a 3'x4' hole * Engines were never properly tuned and continued throwing codes * Demanded full payment for an unfinished and poorly executed job * Three years later, we're still dealing with issues from their work To make matters worse, Chad (the owner) is dishonest, evasive, and unqualified when it comes to tuning or performance diagnostics. He talks a big game but clearly lacks the expertise. Worst of all, he treats customers like a nuisance once he's been paid. Avoid Legend Performance Marine and any business associated with Chad. They cost us time, money, and trust. There are better -- and more honest -- options out there.

I had a terrible experience with an upholsterer in town who ruined an heirloom chair and then charge me $700 for it. The reason I recommend this shop is the owner was patient and answered my questions was polite and forthcoming. They are so busy they're booked out by months but when I'm ready to have work done again this will be my choice.
