I come by every couple of weeks with a container (they graciously provided gratuitously) of my spa water. There is no charge for this water testing. I buy the chemicals that are recommended. They provide a print out of which chemicals, how much and timeframes. I also had recommendations for filter replacements for my spa they can order. The staff is always very helpful, knowledgeable, informative and professional. This service they provide - at no charge - is invaluable for my spa experience. I can't thank them enough and they definitely have my business and support!

In June 2023, I had another company come out to service my fireplace and examine a broken valve…read morethat would not shut off the pilot light when switched to the off position. The person charged me a sizeable service fee for the little work they did and then quoted me an enormous amount to come back and replace the valve assembly. I did the calculations in my head, and I felt the other company was fleecing me. I did some research and called this company for a second bid. I went over the information about my fireplace. I was give a reasonable quote to do the work. They told me Luke would come out and do the repair and that he has all the parts needed. Luke came to my house as scheduled and spent considerable time carefully dismantling the fireplace, replaced the valve assembly, installed a new thermo-coupler, cleaned and painted the firebox, installed a thermal disk to control the fan speed (which also turns it on and off automatically), re-secured the blower, put everything back together, and polished the glass. The fireplace looked new when finished. I wasn't sure how long the paint would last given the high heat inside the firebox, but I have used the fireplace over 40 hours a week over the past couple of months and so far the repainted firebox still looks great. The best part was that I paid less than half what the other company bid, and this company did far more work than replace a gas control valve and pilot. I hope to be able to use this business going forward. The only concern is that I live further than what I believe is their regular territory and they came over to do a major repair. I hope Luke can come to my house in the future for routine servicing.

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

However the representative from Pristine seemed to not want to hear that, and after a bit of back and forth said the words "I guess we aren't the company you want to go for". They made the decision for us, which is odd considering we were only trying to purchase more than a standalone furnace. Maybe it was a miscommunication somewhere but it's clear from the rep that they didn't want our business. Edit: Further reduced score based on the reply from the company including false truths, never once did we claim that what the representative had said was "B.S." and to be clear they never said nor verified the home was insulated properly. The claimed the floors needed to be insulated, which was debunked by other companies as heat rises, and floor insulation does very little in terms of holding the homes heat. Poor response taking no real responsibility.

We pointed out where the main valve was, and instead of doing the job he was scheduled for, he told my daughter to "forget it," saying it was too difficult and that he had three other jobs to do. This appointment was set by their office, not me. Because I wasn't home at that moment, he called me rude and said he wasn't doing the job at all. I told him to leave my property since he had been disrespectful from the start. He began yelling, so I hung up, and he even called me back afterward, which I did not answer. Overall, extremely unprofessional behavior, unnecessary attitude, and zero accountability. I will not be using this company again and would not recommend them based on this experience.

The did a full inspection while they were there and have an honest assessment of the chimney condition and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. Because we had two fireplaces, the chimney was unusual and he had to have a custom fabricated part. They handled all of that and even when the first one did not fit right, they quickly corrected it and got the right one, honoring the original quote. They also quoted a fireplace insert, which we haven't done, but I suspect if we go ahead with that we will use them. They are serious about their work and are focused on doing things right. I found the pricing competitive, but the dedication to service and good communication make them more valuable.

Worked one day and now not working. They ignored my calls in fact hanging up on me. Then finally get the tech on the phone and he accused me of going in to my fireplace and breaking it myself. Ridiculous! Plus he never had permission to work on it. He just did it. Said it was working and then charged me for it and demanded payment that day. Should do estimate and get permission first. I have been patient but I have now called my bank to dispute with them now. I paid for a working fireplace not a broken one. Two companies now are horrible. Where are good companies?

I have as much compassion as the next person, but this is business and honestly, it's not my problem. DO NOT hire these people. They are sketchy. They do not listen. They do not care about the customer. I will be reporting them to the state, L&I and other agencies as well. BE WARNED!
