Where do I begin?? I had turned my gas fireplace off years ago because I thought something was wrong with it. Well, Logan located the issue. He made sure the fireplace would vent properly before servicing it. He did a thorough job. He explained so much about my fireplace. He is worth every penny of the cost. The person that came out did nothing. The not thing he did to tell me I have to spend 4,000$ on a fan for my gas insert. My question was do I have one and if I do why is it not working. He never told me if I even have one just kept telling my I have to spend the money. I also knew I had to pay the fee for them to come out and it was 69.99 which I was ok with but when he went to leave he tried telling me it was 149.00 when I told him he wanted to argue with me. He ended up calling someone and when he got of the phone he said it would 89.99 I was so frustrated by this point I paid it. He also showed up in his personal car which I thought was strange. He also did nothing have booties for his boots and when I asked him to remove his shoes before walking on my expensive area rug he refused. read more

My home has 3 gas fireplaces which are all original with the house. The manufacturer went out of business decades ago. Only 1 of the 3 was working. Logan, the owner of the company, texted me to remind me of my appointment the next day. It was nice. He called me the day of the appointment to say that he was running a little bit behind because of some swapping out of parts issues being that it was an old fireplace that he had to make a new part work, which she was able to retrofit! Being a sales person myself, I understand how these things go and wasn't worried or upset. He was able to professionally clean and service my 14 year old in the wall gas fireplace. He even looked up online how to refit the logs in the right pattern that enable the heat to be distributed in the proper way - I didn't know that had to be done exactly for a design purpose, he was very clean and what he did when he brought in his tools he put down two sheets to protect my carpets and floors. It was very conscientious, and was explaining what he was doing while I was watching. It works even better than it ever did! The original installers didn't know what they were doing - but he did! After the repair was complete and the fireplace tested successfully, he cleaned up his mess (very small mess) received payment and went on his way to his next call. I have not had my 2 gas fireplaces serviced for 11 years and today Apex restored them to essentially "like new" status. Within 70 minutes he was done and it included a deep clean, a new coat of paint, a recalibration of the fire and I think he did a few other things. The service comes with a 90 day warranty but he extended it by a month to ensure it would Cover the first month of fall. He arrived timely, was very professional and did exactly as he promised. I believe the cost was worth the service. I would put it in the category of regular heating/cooling service. We will use Apex again and I recommend them without hesitation! read more

Logan knows fireplaces! So much so, that we will not use any other company as long as he is in business. Very impressed with his knowledge, his professionalism, friendliness, and the quick ability to diagnose and repair a cracked pilot tube, and bent front glass gasket area that we had no idea was present. He found several issues caused by using an HVAC service (who says they service gas fireplaces) for our past maintenance - the logs were put back incorrectly, the embers were dumped behind the log area and not put in place, amongst many other things that were incorrect. We couldn't turn our main gas fireplace on all last year due to a smell (not gas) that was giving me massive headaches. I am so happy to report that after Logan serviced our fireplace it has been running perfectly with zero smell. We're so happy to be able to use it again! read more

This is the second time we've had Logan at Apex come to our house for our gas fireplace. After Logan had serviced the fireplace there was a horrible sound coming from it. Logan came back the next day free of charge. He discovered the fan was vibrating. He said he could add some wedges to help dampen the sound. It was only after we were talking that he said it would be better with a new fan. He gave us the choice whereas other companies would have pushed to sell you a fan first. He also gave us a fantastic deal for the new fan. The fireplace hasn't been this good for a few years. It's like brand new again.
