We scheduled with All City a few months ago as it was the soonest we could have them come to our home. The week prior to our appointment we received two emails reminding us of our tech arriving between 8am and 10am. At 9:55 the morning of our appointment no one had arrived or called us. We called their office to see why. No answer. I left a message and headed to bed, (I work nights and needed to sleep). 10 minutes later I got a call from All City stating that the tech had arrived but wasn't able to access our neighborhood due to our security gate. The lady on the phone told me that I didn't include a proper phone number when setting up my appointment. The control box at our entry gate lists all homeowners and a way to contact us. The tech never called me. There is also an unlocked walk through gate the tech could use to access our neighborhood and walk 150 yards to my front door. The tech never thought or tried this simple idea. The lady who called me seemed more interested in pointing out how I was responsible for their tech not being able to get to our home than apologizing for the fact their tech hadn't arrived. She made no effort to find a way to get our fireplace serviced. Do yourself a favor and not use All City Fireplace. They are not focused on taking care of customers. read more

I first made my request for service on Yelp, and All City promptly replied with a detailed message including a cost quote! I finally got time to call them for further details as I needed a fan installed on my new gas fireplace. They were able to confirm my part I had previously purchased was the correct item needed for my fireplace, and scheduled me for my appointment a just few days away. I got so many reminder texts and emails about my upcoming appointment! Helpful for forgetful people like me. My technician came at the promised time and was so sweet, so kind to me and my pup, and respectful of my home. So thankful that he came well prepared and was able to get my fan installed and working! He showed me how to change the fan speed and was done in an hour. He was also very informative on fireplace maintenance and not at all pushy with services! Highly recommend. This place is a total scam, including their 700 5 star review. You know the saying of something is too good to be true, it probably is? The technician came out to clean and maintain my fireplace ($350), then he told me O need a new gas value which is either $400 for the budget model or $490 to the upgraded one. It was $925 out the door. When I made the appt, the woman said they would repair scratches, which they didn't and she also said anything beyond maintenance would be charges as parts only. What she doesn't tell you is that they jack up the parts price as double. My neighbor had this done for $600. I took a photo of the part number and called Seattle Fireplace and it was less than $500 total and I called Fireside Solutions, who my neighbor used, and it was $600. This place is a total scam beyond measure - not only in their service but in their reviews. They lie as well, they tell you cost for parts is what you will pay, not cost they feel like charging you for the part. I had a pilot light issue which Mike, from ACF solved. I called ACF and got a booking for the next day. ACF's systems were great in texting me confirming messages and advance notice within 20 minutes of when they would show up. Mike was dependable, friendly, knowledgeable, thorough (fixed the problem), excellent with providing explanations as to what he was doing and what to watch out for. Very respectful of the environment being super clean, left shoes by the door, mask, etc. And, most importantly fixed the problem. Mike was awesome. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable and great with troubleshooting. There's small customer service things that Mike did that really hit home; vacuuming out the inside of the fireplace, wiping and cleaning the fireplace glass (that had heat stains), wiping down the grill and outside insert (dusty). I had a sooting problem with my gas fireplace. I had called a different company out to clean it. They had said they couldn't clean it and said I needed a new on at a cost of $5k to $7k! I decided to have All City Fireplace come out and see if they came to the same conclusion. They disassembled everything, cleaned it throughly and found nothing wrong with it! Mike was great and explained everything he was doing and the reasons for the sooting. At the end I let him know what the other company had said and he said he had zero reason to think I'd needed to replace my fireplace and it should continue to run great. Tried to schedule a simple, routine fireplace service, which I did online. They called me to move the appointment sooner, saying the online portal doesn't schedule them efficiently. They told me they don't service our brand of fireplace which is less than 4 years old. Then I received a cancellation for the fireplace service I scheduled online. They told me to call Tacoma Fireplace because "they are booking sooner." Tacoma Fireplace was over a month and a half out! For a freaking simple service. What is the point of having the online portal only to have someone call and reschedule? And to refer to a company that is farther out than you are and not even know or care? When asked about another company that can help, they gave me the crappiest company to schedule with. Would not recommend. I love that they lied and said they recommended two other companies. No they did not. Please avoid, there has to be a better service. They put more care in their response here, than in the call. read more

We scheduled to have our gas fireplace cleaned and serviced. Please note that this is one of the few companies that would service the fireplace. All of the other places I contacted would not work on a fireplace that they did not sell. So, if you aren't the original purchaser of the fireplace, you'll want to use All City. Due to the virus the appointment could not be scheduled quickly, so it was 45 days in advance. I blame this on Governor Inslee, so it's not their fault. Received a confirmation email for the appointment. On the day of the appointment a message was received that the technician will be there between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. He arrived at 2:00. Took his shoes off when entering our home and put a blanket onto the floor in front of fireplace and started to work. He was extremely careful when vacuuming so that dust was not spread around the room. Completed his work, cleaned up and left after the payment. Great service, on time, very clean and fast! Modern website with up-front pricing and online scheduling makes booking a breeze (plus they called me to let me know they had a cancellation and could get in sooner than I originally planned). They also send text updates, including when the technician is en route. Mike was quickly able to diagnose the issue, and had parts on-hand to make the repair. Honesty, that value is important when selecting a contractor. In this market, I will gladly pay for services, but I am always concerned about attention to detail (son of housing contractor here). Mike did a great job, my fireplace now works and is 100% presentable. I am very chary of contractors in Seattle, Upselling and overcharging is the norm. Mike did everything as expected from the charge rate, he did not try to charge more. He also gave great advice on the condition of my fireplace and my future options.
