For a few years now, I had considered purchasing a pressure washer. In the Pacific Northwest everything grows. Concrete grows, roofs grow, things even grow on your cars when you're driving them. But I never really could find the time and I also didn't really know what I was doing. I didn't want to damage the concrete and I also wasn't sure how often I would have to do it or how much work would be involved. Eventually I started searching for a local company who could clean our embarrassingly mossy and living driveway and sidewalks. I saw a few companies but a lot of them seemed very much like hiring a neighbor to do it and I was a little concerned at the lack of insurance and bonding. I came across Northwest soft wash initially on a Facebook ad. I didn't think too much of it until it came across my feed in Yelp as well, so I went to their website to take a look. On a whim, I called and asked for a consultation and estimate. One thing I can say without any doubt is that they have the best customer service. There was actually a part of me that was worried that it was a scam because of how nice they were and how quickly they could get out to the house. After they took a look at the square meters that they would be pressure washing they sent me a quote. The quote was not the cheapest around, but it did offer a treatment that could reduce the speed of the moss growing back and you get what you pay for. So I agreed to the fee, paid a small deposit, and within less than a week they were out to pressure wash my concrete. Steven was super friendly and did an amazing job. He was out at our house for almost 4 hours really making sure that the concrete was clean and looked well. He also made a point to get the mud and Moss cleaned up afterwards so it wasn't just sprayed into the street. When I was paying for the service, I mentioned my gutters and he offered to get on the roof and look and take photos of it for me as well no charge. The customer service at this place is amazing and I highly recommend them. So far they have only pressure washed our walks and driveway, but I could definitely see utilizing them for gutter cleanings and roof cleaning in the future! read more

He helped me pick out a Christmas light setup that met my wants that was a little more than what they usually do with just the straight lined around the pitches of the road. Felt comfortable using them for other services beyond soft wash so I signed up for 4 different ones. Paid deposit for all services in advance. I didn't hear about the nonrefundable deposit mentioned in lower review so I guess I'd recommend reading the contract before signing if there's a chance you want to cancel. *Andrew and Ford* came out today and did a great job cleaning the gutters of my very tall house. They were very kind and professional. Did a great job keeping me informed. Cleaned up when they were finished. They took tons of pictures of the roof to show me there before and after pics. Andrew let me know other issues he saw on my roof which I appreciated. Very sweet guys, efficient, on time, safe! I just spent $680 for them to come out and spray my house when they promised me that they would clean the moss that needed be cleaned off which they didn't do any of it. The pictures only show the shed. The house had patches of moss all over. Yesterday, I posted my concerns about the efficacy of this company. As such, I stated that I had been asked for a $100.00 deposit for work to be completed sometime in the future. (Simply, I wasn't given a start date as of the signing of the sales order. What I mean is that when Preston the salesperson quoted me $1400.00 for a Softwash and gutters to be cleaned he never mentioned at that time that my $100.09 was non refundable. This was only the day after when I called him for his assistance regarding my deposit. He stated that this matter was out of his hands and that management had to make the determination as to my refund. I don't give a damn about the $100.00, but what I do care about is honest, reliable, and professionalism. As I have read other post and their comments about this company, they are not what they pretend to be, in fact, quite the contrary. So, my aim here is make sure that others that are in need of a service like theirs, is that you take the time to research and most of all get other bids and take none of them at face value. BTW- I did give NW Softwash until the close of business yesterday to call me to discuss. I told Preston that I would not post anything on Yelp, the BBB, or local news until I heard from the owner. I am giving this review two stars assuming in 3-6 months the moss will go away, I will update this to one star if I don't see it working. Here are the reasons I gave this two stars: 1- They charged me $1400 for a 90 minutes job , almost $500 more than they charged another house with the same size. If you end up using them , make sure you pay $500-$600 2. They made a big mess on my deck and windows, I did mention that to them and they swept the big pieces and I end up pressure wash the small pieces 3. The cost is a bit high I think but when you take into account your not up there doing the work with all your homeowner cleaning tools that take ten times as long the cost is well worth it to me. I had them do my roof, patio, windoas and driveway. At first I was pleased. Upon further inspection, I noticed areas where they had peeled paint off while cleaning other areas. They also left debris on the driveway (that was before I chose to add that on). They did a good job on the windows but left dirty water spots on the carpet. We had NW Softwash hang Christmas lights on our house this year, they did an absolutely wonderful job. Our house has a cedar shake roof and some unique angles that caused another company to back out of doing our house for a second year. Ok I literally have nothing but GOOD to say about this company...they sent Matt and Miles - they arrived on time to do our roof gutters power wash house patio driveway. They moved necessary furniture etc out of the way cleaned washed cleaned up the debris.
