I'm so happy to have found Dr. Roksar - he and his staff are truly a godsend. I have never met a dentist so tuned in, no nonsense, kind and patient. I've had two ill-fitting crowns causing me pain and just driving me crazy for close to two years. Multiple dentists have replaced these crowns, ground them down and tried to reposition them only to leave me just as uncomfortable, if not worse. After years of work and thousands of dollars, I had almost given up that anyone could fix these back teeth. On my very first visit to Dr. Roksar, he was able to create a temp crown that actually fit in the troubled area. He listened, saw what I meant and had the skill and artistry to change the area so it makes sense with my other teeth and feels like a tooth. It INSTANTLY felt normal. Dr. Roksar accomplished more in 1 visit - in a few minutes - than some very expensive "fancy" specialists could not do after months of analysis and fruitless work.Also, my bite in that area had been so off I hadn't been able to bite down on that side. After my first visit I was able to enjoy eating and feeling the satisfaction of really biting something on that side. I knew food had become a pain but i didn't realize how much I was missing out until after I saw Dr. Roskar. Dr. Roskar is such a no- nonsense guy too - so many dentists before have had me do the consultation and all sorts of follow up appointments before the real work could begin and Dr. Roskar just jumped in to fix what could be done right them. So many others told me why the my tooth issues should feel this way or that, recommended expensive procedures. Meanwhile Dr. Roskar genuinely wants to get to the bottom of the matter and get the work done. I still have a lot of dental work to do but I know I finally have the right guy to do it. read more

Dr Arman Roksar saved my smile! I've been under his care for over a decade now. I was born missing one adult tooth and with an extra baby tooth in the front of my mouth. Since they're the most visible in my mouth the aesthetics was clearly so important. I started my dental treatment as a teenager and Dr. Roksar worked with my orthodontist to correct my spacing. He took care to create an exact space for my missing tooth to place a dental implant. He made a "Maryland bridge" for me for the 2 years that I had braces/a retainer. This allowed me to have a semipermanent bridge (aka a great looking tooth) until I was ready for my dental implant surgery. After my surgery, he made me another temporary bridge that was flawless. After I healed, he customized a porcelain crown and abutment. He then put porcelain veneers on the rest of my front teeth to match. Now that everything is finished, I am amazed at what was done for me. Not only can no one even tell that I had missing teeth, but I get compliments on my teeth all the time! Dr. Roksar (or Dr Rockstar, an irresistible nickname for him) has been my dentist for the past 16 years. I have never been tempted to go elsewhere as he and his great staff (Carole and Jasmina, among others) are the best in NYC. It's a very relaxed but efficient (no long waits) office. The women behind the desk and at Dr. Roxar's side are second to none, as is the hygienist. Insurance issues are quietly sorted; the hygienist does not yell at or shame you if your flossing has gone missing; the TV is on or off, as you prefer; if your small pet has no sitter, they are understanding. Best of all , if at the last minute I cannot get there, they do not start feuds by charging a ton of money. re-schedule and they're extremely patient with me. the office keeps ahead of the game with some of the best equipment that modern dentistry has to offer (except for gas, which probably keeps the Doctor on his toes). Friendly, welcoming and informed, I hope I never have to find another dentist. I probably won't because he seems to take very good care of himself. read more

When someone is digging around in my teeth, I want to feel like I'm in good hands. Dr. Roksar and his team are not only top-of-the-line professional, they are also kind, warm and patient. Dr. Roksar just rebuilt basically all of my lower molars in a two-hour session. They made miracles happen (Gorgeous work! Total artistry!) and were so concerned that I be happy with the result, tweaking things slightly as needed, giving me all the time I needed. They gave me the time and space to set up my phone to listen to relaxing music, which was tremendously helpful to create relaxation for the big event. The session never felt rushed, and yet I was amazed by how much they got done. Did I say that they made miracles happen? : ) Stellar. I first started seeing Dr. Roksar a few years ago because of a mysterious tooth ache. I had not been to the dentist in a number of years and was neglecting my teeth. It turned out that I had 5 cavities and needed a deep cleaning. Over the next few appointments, the cavities were filled safely and my teeth well cleaned. From that point on, I have made sure to brush and floss daily and go for cleanings every six months. I recently had a cleaning and check-up, and my teeth have never been better. Dr. Roksar is one of the best. I have been seeing him for over 10 years, and trust him with my teeth implicitly. And I have bad teeth! He has filled cavities, installed crowns, you name it- I've had it. He does excellent work, is friendly & professional (as are all of his staff), and always takes care of the insurance paperwork so I don't have to. Dr. Roksar is great! I was recommended to him by a friend. It's the 1st time I feel 100% about my teeth. We spent a few months fixing my years of neglect (and correction of bad dentist)and I felt comfortable the entire time. I am so happy with Dr. Roksar work he is a perfectionist and when you are having your teeth done that is what you want. He is also very patient and kind and fair. He takes as much time as you need. Dr. Roksar and his staff have been amazing to me. Not only is Dr. Roksar a great dentist, but the office environment makes it a pleasure to go there. Dr Roksar was recommended to me by my aunt and uncle who have been seeing him for years. I have been going to see him for two years now and he replaced a crown for me as well as the usual check up/ cleaning etc. I find him and his staff always very nice, gentle, kind.
