After scheduling the week I needed the sitter via online/email, Lori (the owner) arranged a free "appointment" to meet my boy, go over various insurance/pet emergency/ home tour / info with my husband and I. She was extremely nice and pleasant, and I knew within 5 minutes that she was going to get along great with my 5 year old male, Diego. Diego tends to be quite shy, but warmed up with Lori during the week that I was out of town. She left a daily diary of her time with Diego, and also texted updates (with photos) to me throughout the week. I have never felt so at ease while away from my precious pet. I wasn't worried about him at all, and was able to enjoy my family at Christmastime. The rates are extremely affordable for the amount of attention 20 Toes gives to the furry little creatures. She tours your home and makes sure she knows where your pet is likely to hang out, or in the case of my cats, hide. Her employees are well vetted and Lori maintains high standards for employment. 20 Toes will also bring in your mail/packages and water your plants. While you are away, a daily diary of the time spent with your pet is left, and you can also receive text updates and pictures. Seeing my diabetic and skittish cat snuggling with his pet sitter and playing with his cat toys provided such peace of mind. Quite possibly the nicest part of 20 Toes is that when I came home, the litter boxes were clean, the food and water dishes were full, and I had two very happy cats. I recently adopted a little Chihuahua from them, she was from a shelter in South Carolina and came through their gracious network. From the time of my first inquiry with them to adoption I found their communication to be on point, clear, candid, and open minded. I spoke to Jennifer, Nancy, Marge, and others. I From the time of my inquiry to adoption was a time frame of about 2 weeks. My experience was they promptly replied to my emails, picked up my phone calls, would return email me back even late hours into the nights and weekends, this organization is obviously driven by a profound sense of service and devotion. I would probably mention that since they are volunteer driven, if you have your heart set an a pup with them and it doesn't follow up through to adoption, be patient, be kind, and keep trying. It doesn't mean you are not a good person or candidate for a dog! I invite you to keep faithful and remain patient , it will all be worth it in the end once you can connect with your adoptive family member. They are not a for profit business, they are a for-happiness and pro-altruism rescue. They are a 501c3. Offer to volunteer, foster, and keep an open heart and mind. I'd like to take them all home but each of these sweet little faces deserves undivided attention in a home all their own. Operation Snip has a Facebook page and operates a mobile van in Troy that provides low cost spay/ neutering services. All of the rescues at Pet Stop are also spayed or neutered at low cost before being adopted into much needed, loving homes. With costs rising daily both the organization and Pet Stop do a great service to make cat adoption affordable. I know from experience because my little rescue cat, Sweetie, came from this adoption program last year. She's extremely small for her age which is about six ( based on her teeth). She may be a runt. I looked into her big eyes and knew I had to save her. She is happy now and doing very well. Conveniently, I get all of her supplies from Pet Stop. If I need to board her or her dog companion, YoYo, Pet Stop has a great boarding service as well.

Our tenant was supposed to shovel for us, but his car broke down and he couldn't even make it home that night. We told Jessica about the situation and that our cats would be ok for a day. She said she would be fine, came by anyhow, climbed her way through over a foot of snow, and then brushed it off saying it was not a problem and we shouldn't worry about it. Now, that is dedication!
