This place is good for large groups or drinks with a few friends. They have a full bar with cocktails but also can pretty much make any mixed drink. I had Henny n coke but a lot of people we're ordering the rum punch which looked really yummy. They serve food. But it's a simple menu. Salad options. Wings that can be tossed in an array of sauces, french fries. Typical bar food. And they have some other entree selections. On weekends it's great for music and dancing. A great mix of soca, reggae, and a lot of the hits. When I went the age limit was 23 and older to get in. I went on a Sunday. They have a few TV's on the wall but they had it on MTV. A little weird. Watching 90s rock music videos without the sound. Lots of head banging, hair flips, and baggy pants. It was pretty empty yesterday. We ordered the wings with a mango sauce and fries. Fries were okay. Tasty. Nothing special. But the wing sauce was sweet with a little heat. I wasn't really a fan of it. I think I would've preferred buffalo or jerk, or just plain old fried but what got me was that the chicken was undercooked. I was biting into the drumstick and the chicken was kind of rubbery which is a no no. It definitely needed more time in the fryer. I don't mess with undercooked chicken. I'm actually quite surprised how much this place has changed. The first time I came here, it was about 3-5 years ago. It was so dark and dingy in there. I was scared and did not feel comfortable at all! Now, fast-forward. I've recently been back at the beginning of September for my friend's surprise bday party. I was literally in shock to how Tracks has cleaned itself up. It was a complete makeover. It actually reminded me of Fisheye, down the road. The new decor is of New Yorker Chic with ghetto fabulous twinged in it. I say ghetto, for the fact that there was something weird going on in the back near the bathrooms. It was like the ceiling dropped 5 feet so they could add an upstairs area. Nonetheless, I was impressed from what my first true experience was. Since this place is in the neighborhood, I can see it as my new home bar. Sometimes it just gets tiring going into the city to get a drink. I can just walk a few minutes and enjoy. So Tracks Cafe... I live so close to this place for years but this was my first time there. My friend was celebrating her birthday. It was a small group of us. We got there close to 1am. There was a $20 cover to get in for everyone. They pat you down and check your bag. Didn't really seem like there was a dress code. Some people dressed up and some were dressed all the way down. The inside is bigger than it looks on the outside. We were able to get a small table after about half hours when I couple of people left. The music was pretty good and some people were dancing. Only had the wings and fries to eat and they were fine. They also have hookah. The drinks were just okay. Not sure if I would return, maybe if I didn't have to pay a cover. read more

Ahhh tracks. One of my favorite places to have a love-hate relationship with. It recently said on yelp that it was permanently closed but since I was standing inside the lounge while looking at yelp, clearly that wasn't true. But maybe they were closed and reopened? Anyway, I've been coming to tracks for some years now and it's consistently been a spot that's GREAT for if you want to hear good and consistent Caribbean music (reggae, soca, calypso, etc). Music wise, tracks is at the top of the game on weekends. DJ starts with old school and hip hop and then the Caribbean music starts and the place turns up! It's usually ladies free before 12, and $20 after with guys paying $20 all night. The drinks here are really good and inexpensive. My friend paid $10 for a shot of Henny. I paid the same for a jack and ginger. Super cheap! I will also say that the bartenders are friendly and some are heavy handed if you catch my drift. Where Tracks falls short is everything customer service related. Sometimes the door ppl are nice, other times I've seen them be extremely rude. The bottle girls/waitresses are no better. I recently went early, around 11pm and most of the tables had reserved signs except for a few 2 seaters, which my group sat at bcuz it was EMPTY in there. Bottle girl comes and reiterates that the table is only for 2 and we can't sit at the one behind us. Ok, we got it. Never did she say that she would kick us out the table if someone else comes. Fast forward and hour or 2 later, and she comes to ask us to move because someone bought a bottle. Mind you, we had just purchased a big hookah that was sitting on the table. Her solution? That we share another table with some strangers. Literally made us move our stuff and hookah to a random table already occupied by a group smh. And no apology or anything, especially since she never moved the group of Latina girls behind us who also had only hookah and no bottles. Later in the night, security knocked our hookah over while escorting someone out and the hookah woman tried to say she wouldn't replace it, even though it was their Security. At that point I was already annoyed and wasn't gonna move until she agreed to replace it. Moral of the story, go to tracks for music and drinks but don't expect A1 customer service or even respect from some of the ppl there. read more

Tracks is a cultural gem to the West Indian community; I have been going to Tracks for many years and seen many Reggae,Soca artist perform. Drinks and hookah are ok and I would recommend that that staff become more engaged with its clients so you don't have to seek them out when you need a drink and/or anything else. This venue is very congested and small. Wasn't fond with my experience here despite hearing such great things.

I was in the mood for ratchetry and my Wednesday night led me to Tracks. Venue is laid out nicely, feels more like a club that serves food rather than a restaurant with a bar/lounge, which is cool of that's what they're going for. My server say me upstairs which I liked because I was out of the way of the mix but in a great spot for ppl watching. Rum punch was nice, can't have ratchet without your drinks in plastic cups!!!! Lol and I mean ratchet in a good way. It was a good balance of ratchet and chill, I didn't feel like a fight was brewing and the crowd wasn't stush. Might go back if the wind blew me that way. I was apprehensive about trying the food, maybe next time. But if you're looking for West Indian vibes I would suggest giving this place a try. read more

Celebrated a birthday here on Friday 11/14, WHAT A GREAT TIME. the music was awesome, we did a bottle package, my girlfriends and i never stopped dancing. The wait service was pleasant, the finger food was awesome, to help maintain all the liquor we were about to consume. Hookah's were $30, a great price compared to spots in the city. Much better than the old Brooklyn clubs years ago.Trust that I avoid going to hood spots. However, if you looking for hip hop and reggae spot in bk, it's cool for that. The bar takes cards. They offer hookah, but hookah is cash only??? Turn off. An ATM is there, but it was usually empty when I went.. To get hookah, you had to go to a separate section approx 20ft from the bar. ATMs inside and around the corner were not good so they couldn't even give me a cash credit. I think I saw a sign that said $200 limit on CC. read more

I came here one Thursday night with my friend for Karoake night and had a good time. I couldnt believe how packed the place became for a weekday night. I didnt order a lot of food but had a mango dacqueri and wasnt impressed with the drink. The atmosphere and entertainment was cool and lively. I didnt venture to the stage to show my unskilled singing especially after hearing some of the other brave karoake singers. I was like dang these people can sing, is this American Idol or what. Came here last night based on the reviews and there is nothing 5 star about this mediocre place. Every table was reserved but the place was empty. The DJ was good. After a rude encounter with the bar staff, they sat us upstairs. U can tell this place was not meant to have an upstairs but they tried. If your taller then 5"8 don't go up there. The seats were broken. The walls had holes. The waitress didn't come back until an hour later. At which time she told us the only food they have was anything fried. So wings and fries were all you were getting. You couldn't order frozen drinks or the fish bowls. After she told us that we left. Never again. read more

I went on a thursday night for karaoke, it was pretty early when I arrived (930pm) so karaoke didn't start for about an hour and a half (1100pm). My colleague met me at the bar, the drinks (wine) and the bar was nice, though we were served on plastic dishes. The food portions were very light so I wouldn't suggest going there on an empty stomach. My main gripe is that they actually need security, apparently there was a shooting there within the past couple of weeks. All in all, considering I know Canarsie, Mill Basin, and East Flatbush like the back of my hand, I REFUSE to EXPECT to get "searched" at a LOCAL BAR. Not only did I get searched when I first arrived, my colleague was NOT searched when she got there (before I did), AND I was given an ultimatum to either get searched or leave after exiting the "cafe" to make a phone call. When I advanced toward the front door to get my things from my seat (I had been seated near the front entrance),one of the bouncers grabbed the door handle where my hand was, thankfully I was unharmed. Along with bemoaning my use of Haitian Kreyol to express my frustration with the incident, the bouncers overall gave me a sense of unnecessary eagerness to perform a "search" a second time. Being that the bouncer saw my colleagues and I at the bar near the entrance, the place was not crowded, and I was within a few feet from all three bouncers on my phone, I felt that their actions (demanding to perform a so called search) were excessive. Karaoke was cute and gets pretty good after midnight from what I heard from other patrons. Apparently I was not impressed by the lack of professionalism in ensuring patrons safety and will not return or recommend Tracks Cafe to anyone for anything. read more

Also came here with my boo cakes and had an equally AWESOME time. I have nothing bad to say about this place. It's a diamond in the rough. The food is fantabulous! The drinks are made with a good enough amount of liquor so that your getting your money's worth, but not feeling like a drunk in the process. When I went with my boo cakes, we danced and ordered drinks all night. Had such a great time! When I went with my bestie, we wanted a more low key place to hang after work. I ordered the Turkey burger and fries. Simple but delicious. Made me want to get another one. Their rum punch is one of the best ive ever tatsed with just the right amount of rum. The waitresses are friendly and the bartenders know how to mix a drink. The place used to be under different management. The were formerly called Mystic (I may have spelled that wrong). When I used to go under the old management there weren't many people there but the atmosphere was good and the food was great. New management has brought new business and this place is always active. Went on a Thursday evening and had trouble finding or getting help with seating. When I did get seats for my party of three, the service from the bartender was horrible. The 2 Long Island ice teas were bad and saturated with alcohol... Usually not a bad thing except it taste disgusting. the solution to the bartender was to add more soda which really made no difference. I came here for the Easter Brunch (brunchandlime). I have to say it was not what I expected at all. We ordered the jerk shrimp and grits, which were too expensive ($18) for where we were. We were extremely disappointed in the lumpy and runny grits that we were served. I know that jerk is supposed to be spicy but it should not be so spicy that after the first bite of shrimp you are about to choke! We had a large bowl of runny and soggy grits with a few pieces of shrimp. I recently went here to celebrate an friends birthday. Overall I had an good time with the people I was with. As for the atmosphere that's an different story. So my friend had her own section (thank God) it's an small place so it get cramped pretty quickly. With her own section they provide bottle service, Chasers, hookah,Food & utensils. As the night goes by everything starts to pile up as for as garbage so you would think an employee would come around to clean up right? NOPE! The trash stays exactly where it is. I looked around for an trash can so I can do it myself but there wasn't one. Now for the dress code!! So although it's an little hole in the wall place it's still an nightclub so you would expect people especially WOMEN to dress up. Heels, Dress etc. To my surprise there were more women wearing $10 sandals than heels. Some wore sweatpants!! Girl, Literally sweatpants to an club!! Who does that? & the Men well ‍ They were there. Anyway the DJ was Great 1-10 I'll give him an 7-8. Everyone seemed to enjoy his tunes so that's an plus. I didn't try the food well honestly the entire platter was still sitting there by the end of the night untouched so I can't tell you if it was delicious or Not. Went here recently and really enjoyed myself. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. The food was pretty good also and you get a nice portion size for your money. My only complaint was that the music (although the DJ was on point) was a little too loud. I cant understand for the life of me what all the raves are all about. This place totally sucks!!!! Indeed the food isn't all that bad, its eatable. However the service sucks. when i tried to explain to management that our service wasn't up to par for a restaurant that wasn't busy, this guy was more interested in drinking at the bar with his friends.
