I took a bezel soldering class today, with a great instructor, named Monique. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. She was patient, kind and had a great sense of humor. Yesterday I visited Ny6 Design for the first time. I felt like a kid in a candy store. The choices are endless. They have everything you could possibly need or want. My experience was so great I went back today and signed up for 3 classes, basic soldering wire wrapping and its just wire. Amy, was a great help and very professional. I live in Frisco and this is the BEST, most convenient bead and supply store to this part of Dallas. Actually, I think it is the only bead and supply store. I moved to Texas 3 years ago and immediately sought out a source for my beading projects. I quickly found out that driving towards downtown Dallas (where many bead stores are located) on construction ridden highways was not worth the hassle. I felt like I one the lottery when I found Ny6design. They have a very good selection of beads at good prices. I love to feel and touch beads before buying or deciding what I need for my next project (hard to do when buying on line). They have expanded the store since I started going here and are adding new product all the time. They also offer a nice variety of classes. I took the metal soldering class and it was excellent. An added bonus is the staff - they are all very friendly and helpful. The only reason why I give Ny6design a 4 star and not 5 is because I have been to better bead stores (in New York City, Cincinnati, St. Louis). I travel and have been to bead stores all over the world. Ny6design rates as one of the best. As a side note, this store is great for beginners to advanced beaders. They only sell "wholesale" They are located in a prime retail area of Allen, but the close up sign insde the store says "thirty dollars minimum purchase." I had been there several times to make small purchases. Wednesday, the owner decided to enforce the rules by lecturing me about the cost of labor, ect. He agreed to make an "exception this time" to the 30.00/minimum. The clerk followed me and peeked over my shoulder while I tried to locate the findings I came to the store for. America is living in a tough economy, and small, local, business suffer most. I will gladly take my business to a merchant who appreciates and needs my 2.00 purchase!! read more

What a GREAT selection of beads and all kinds of accessories!! There are work tables available, a classroom for parties or groups I assume. The prices are fair and the location is easy to get to. They have great hours and are open late on Thursdays. The staff members are very helpful and try hard to assist in your project. The locked front door is a bit odd but since there is SO much merchandise sitting out I guess I can understand that and it's really no big deal, just have to wait to be let in. Ny6 has all sorts of classes: how to make jewelry, basic soldering, pearl knotting, wire wrapping and many more. There are so many types of natural stones, agates and all sizes of pearls. Over priced for poor quality merchandise . The beads were all were all mixed in and hard to tell prices . I was over charged by a few dollars but by the time I realized it I was several blocks away. I also found it weird that the front door was locked during business hours (sign showed it was open) and you had to push a door bell to get in . Ok fire hazard! !!!
