The space has a beautiful scent that puts you at ease as soon as you walk-in. I had a signature facial and it really set a new standard for a facial for me. The facial and upper body massage relaxes you, I can't imagine not having a facial with such a nice neck/shoulder/arm massage again. The products they use don't have a strong fragrance -- every detail was perfect. They do give product recommendations after the service but there's no pressure and it doesn't feel sales-y or uncomfortable the way it can at other salons. Highly recommend my facialist Amy!

She went over some of my skin care history and current routine with me. The calming facial I received was refreshing. I felt cold things, hot things, a zappy thing, pinching thing, steam, and more. She also massaged my neck and hands. She gave me some great recommendations and I got a little eye treatment complimentary. I also appreciated that she wasn't pushy with the products and said I will email you what I recommend. My skin looks bright and clean. I also got some chocolate to take with me which was a nice touch. I will be back. Worth every penny.

I stumbled upon Karine Kazarian because of the Biologique Recherche line of products they offer. Although there hasn't been an issue with my current esthecian, I wanted to try a facial in New York along with the line of products. I first booked my appointment with Mariam, who happens to be Karine's daughter. She was super friendly and walked me through the entire process. She listened to my concerns and customized the deep cleansing facial for my skin. I was left with hydrated and clean skin. I knew I loved their service when I received multiple compliments on the second week from having my facial. Recently, I saw Sasha for the same deep cleansing facial as I was in desperate need of extractions. She took care of me and was gentle throughout the entire process. I truly feel like their is magic in these ladies hands and they are definitely worth checking out for anyone who wants to be pampered with good skin care products.

Some estheticians have been incredible (shoutout Aiza) and some haven't been as good. After my last few visits, I've been disappointed in the depth of the facials I've received and haven't felt that I've been getting my money's worth. The services are expensive (even for NYC) at $300+ with tip. After getting a cyst on my eyelid following my most recent facial, I think it's time for me to find another place for my facials in the city. Wish the treatments here weren't as costly; if the prices were a bit lower, I'd be more comfortable with the quality and depth of service.

I have had some very bad experiences with other injectors, such as injectors who seemingly touched my skull with the injection (painful!) and dropped Botox on my face... I told the injector that I liked what I had before, but she decided to add whatever she wanted without asking me. Now my eyelids are so tense and wide open - I look like a crazy mass shooter- and I have severe eye strain. I confirmed with someone who answered the phone that the injector did indeed add units that did that. Again... without asking me if it was ok. For some reason the person who I spoke to on the phone thinks a consultation will help. However, I already know from experience that once they inject it the only thing that works is letting it wear off and I have to have severe eye strain for 3 months. The injector was also very careless and I bruised like never before. She even just felt sloppy and inexperienced. I'll never go back again. Nothing like the feeling of waking up with eye strain when your eyes should be relaxed! And the shape of my eyes is so terrible and embarrassing.

Sisley Paris boutique on Bleecker is not a store, it is an experience. From the decor flown in from…read moreParis, to the original artwork on the walls that inspired the artistry on the perfume bottles, the attention to detail is phenomenal. Drop in for some tea or champagne or an event where you might receive a shoulder massage while learning about self care. In French there is a special word for self care in personal cosmetic application, "soin de beauté"- literally meaning beauty care (sounds better in French right?). The entire concept behind the products and the experience in store is centered around this idea of "self care" - a better translation. First- the products. Every product I have tried and used has proven results. Yes, the products are at a higher price point. However, they are worth every penny. Think about how much you spend at Sephora on the "next best item". Throw them out. One item is all you need all year at Sisley for each part of your beauty regimen. Each product is specially formulated to give specific results to aid your skin in healing itself. Every product is plant based. Every product is the result of years of research. Why such attention to detail? Because Sisley is independent. It is family owned. Almost every other product on the market is owned by about 3 or 4 large cosmetic conglomerates ( even La Mer), who are publicly traded and must answer to shareholders. What does that mean for your skin? Products that are diluted or changed for a larger profit margin to create quick fix "results" that aren't healthy for your skin in order to roll out the next product for the next quarter earnings. Enough about finance - the fact that it is family owned means that each product is the result of craftsmanship - something that resonates throughout the entire experience. Bottom line- these products deliver results. How many eye creams have you purchased in the last year? Think about that. It makes economic sense to invest in one that *works* rather than trying 3-4 that don't. Second- this boutique does not push products. The "vendeuses " (sales people) and the makeup artists carefully assist in curating a skin care (or makeup) regime that works for your skin's needs and your budget. They give out copious samples so you can see results before you buy. They truly want you to be happy with your skin and work with you to give you glowing skin one product at a time in a way that is healthy and makes sense for your skin. They provide facials as well and Danielle, my esthetician has taken care of my skin for years now. I cannot express enough how much care she gives to each facial and how amazing it is to have someone "follow" your skin's needs and help with products or pro-tips on how best to take care of your skin. Do I recommend this boutique? Yes, a million times over; the products are the best in the business, the team is gracious beyond compare and the entire experience at the gorgeous boutique is unparalleled in the city. My skin is GLOWING and I regularly receive compliments. Drop by- you won't be disappointed.
