I haven't had a meal this good in a while. Everything is fresh - the hummus, the cucumber salad, the meats, all of it. The portions are also very generous. Get the truffle fries. I was the last to eat, so I was surprised that it was still warm and not soggy. Packaging was executed very well for delivery. The shawarma had juicy and crispy pieces. Nicely seasoned. The wrap also had tomatoes and I believe pickled turnips. Turnips were pretty acidic and salty which made them poignant on their own; however, they were excellent in the sandwich as they provided a perfect compliment to the savory meat. I think the laffa was lightly fried and pressed which made it very sturdy. It great introduction to Egyptian food for those who enjoy burritos. I also sampled the falafel, the hummus, and the babaghanoush. I enjoyed the falafel and the babaghanoush the most out of those three. Falafel was crispy without being dry. I'm eager to try these freshly fried at the restaurant.

I was spoken to like a child and persistently told I need to update the number next time because it's going to confuse the driver and that they are backed up and that I should have updated it....I don't really know why it was made to be such a big deal, I wasn't rude and wanted to communicate with them so the driver wasn't confused. We Love their food and have been ordering with them for years, but why am I getting spoken to like I'm a child. UPDATE: Hi Mike! Please, where in my review did I call your staff children, I said they spoke to me like I was a child ? When I called I said my husbands first name instead of last name which we quickly realized. I wasn't rude to her, I didn't know making a mistake would cause you to be so upset. Things happens , mistakes are made I tried fixing it and was met with immediate frustration from your staff. You guys have a rep for never taking responsibility for your bad attitude towards customers. This was such a simple issue, and I have the right to voice my experiences. I didn't leave out any details. If I was nasty I'd understand your response, but attacking every customer that has something to say just isn't professional. I am also not a person that believes the customer is always right , but when did it become to standard to respond with such disregard. Hey Mike, that's totally within your right as the owner to make that call, I wasn't planning on supporting you going forward anyway so it works out for both of us. Have a happy holiday.

Sherry, the owner, personally served us and was incredible, so warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. We also had the chance to meet her husband, the co-owner and chef, and it was such a pleasure to tell him firsthand how outstanding the food was. They are both unbelievably kind and welcoming. Now the food, wow. I had the Falafel House Platter, two friends ordered the regular falafel platters, and my wife had the gyro platter. Every single dish was stellar. Everything is made to order, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. The falafel was hands down some of the most flavorful and perfectly textured I've ever had, crispy on the outside and tender and herby on the inside. The gyro was high quality, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. Even the rice was thoughtfully seasoned and delicious on its own, which says a lot. The service, the atmosphere, and the food were all unreal. Truly a 10 out of 10 experience from start to finish. We will absolutely be back.

We decided to dine in instead of grabbing to go. It's a small and intimate spot few seating, like a mom and pop restaurant. Service was friendly. The lady at the register greeted us and explained that everything is made after it's ordered, so there would be a little bit of a wait. She pointed us to a wall full of games that we could use while we wait. Super cute and tons of options. We opted for connect four. They don't serve alcohol. We opted for the alcohol free Egyptian beer Laziza (which she said translates to "delicious". We had the peach and green apple. Both were good but I personally preferred the peach. The food came out hot and fresh and really didn't take too long. We had the lamb and chicken over rice , the falafel, and the shrimp pita. Everything tasted great and the portion sizes were very filling. I was not able to finish my chicken and lamb over rice.

Rather than immediately posting a public review, I contacted management privately because I believed they deserved the opportunity to address the situation professionaly. Their initial response was that they would review the incident internally. After I followed up, they specifically offered to send me a complete ingredient list for everything we ordered so I could review it with my healthcare provider. I accepted that offer but, the ingredient list was never sent. Months later, there has still been no meaningful follow-up. My frustration isn't about demanding compensation or proving what caused the reaction. It's about customer care and accountability. Making promises that are never fulfilled leaves the impression that guest concerns only matter until the bill is paid. Once our $471 tab was settled, the commitment to help simply disappeared. The food and atmosphere may attract people, but how a restaurant responds when something goes wrong is what defines its hospitality. Unfortunately, based on my experience, the follow-through did not match the promises made, and I can't recommend a restaurant that handled a serious guest safety concern this way. Its NYC, 1000s of restaurants will charge less serve higher quality ingredients and treat you with greater hospitality, and this place is located in midtown east.

I went back for a weekday lunch recently and the food and atmosphere both hold up fabulously, so it makes sense why they've remained a brunch mainstay at both their East Village and Williamsburg locations. I enjoy that they serve their hot moroccan tea in a glass as is traditional, so you can see all the fresh mint leaves in your cup. I had tea like this multiple times a day during my trip to Morocco a few years back so sipping on this here took me back in time. I ordered a short stack of their blueberry pancakes which were very fluffy and delicious. They're not the kind of pancake with crispy edges, which are my preferred kind of pancake but I still found them satisfying. The moroccan eggs, which are two poached eggs in spicy stewed tomatoes and served with zahar pita is a delight. The pita is very fluffy and the zahatar adds such a nice fragrant spice to the bread. They used to serve this with potatoes but now those come at an additional charge but are well worth getting. The Williamsburg location also has pretty good wifi and they let me work on my laptop through my brief stay there. Kitchen was speedy too.
