Carlos is very nice and easy to work with. He gave good advice and spoke to me a few times to explain the process. When his crew arrived, they were very thorough and professional. I was going to change just one half of the roof + garage layover and Carlos advised it's best to change the entire roof and skip the garage layover (this wasn't a upsell because Carlos did the job for the same price). My 100 year old home needed help, a project that terrified me. Carlos came recommended through a friend and I just had to have faith! What a pleasure it was to work with Carlos. He did everything he said he would do and more. New roof, replaced the eaves and rotted wood, covered all the architectural detail and put in all new gutters. The transformation was nothing short of incredible. All the crews were masters at their craft. Mindful of all my outside things....and cleanup was immaculate. A year ago, I watched Carlos' NYC General Pro Roofing roofing team worked on a roofing project of a residential home near my mother-In-law home in Brooklyn. I immediately noticed that each of his 12-14 men team was very organized and well coordinated in performing their tasks. We had previously used other roofing contractors to repair my residential homes but Carlos' team really gave me a unique and great impression on how his team go about doing a caring and a professional roofing project. With the recent winter storms and high wind and heavy rain in early spring, my wife and I decided to look for a roofing contractor to evaluate the condition of our roof. We contacted several contractors including Carlos to give us an evaluation and their opinions on the roof condition. One contractor did not show up on the scheduled appointment and did not even returned our call. Others were only want to do repairs or partial replacement of the shingles. After the inspection of our roof, Carlos recommended to us that the best solution is the complete replacement of our roof since a portion of our roof is a flat roof and the remaining multi level sections are covered with shingles. He patiently answered our questions and concerns and explained to us the various roofing materials to be used and the detailed steps for each type of materials that are to be installed on the roof. On the scheduled started date of our project, he and his 14 men team arrived on time at 8:30 am and completed the total replacement of our roof in one day around 7:30 pm. During the project, Carlos provided my wife and I with updates on the progress. Even though I kind of afraid of height, he helped and invited me up on the roof and educated me ( i. e., a bird's eyes view of ") how the project come to fruition. My wife and I are truly appreciative of Carlos' honesty, trustworthiness and professionalism in the entire project from our initial meeting with him to the completion. We had chronic leaking in corners of our roof for 20 years and no one could ever seem to solve the leaks. We asked Carlos for a repair estimate as he worked on our neighbors roof - we're in attached housing. Our roof looked beautiful and was well maintained . We were told when we purchased our home 18 years ago that the roof was new. In spite of the roof looking great, we decided to have a new roof put on as we were getting towards the 20 year mark with the "new" roof, and even though it looked good, the leakage was a problem. Turns out underneath the "new" roof were many layers of old roofing, some cracked and rotten beams plus slipshod patching. Carlos' team replaced the rotten beams with ones that are substantially better than what roofer usually use - can't remember now the details of those beams, he was highly professional, clean, has a great crew that worked efficiently and were equally professional. Throughout the process he sent me photos of the job as it progressed and even let me come up on the roof to inspect. Carlos is highly professional, a good communicator and I felt he was trust worthy. My brother is a contractor in another state and I sent him the roof work photos and his impression was Carlos and his crew knew what they were doing. The roof was installed April 2018 (it is a flat roof on an attached home) and so far all has been well, no leaks. read more

NYC GenProRoofing was recommended to me by Aspen Tree Service while trimming my trees in preparation for a new roof. Carlos responded immediately, came to my house, reviewed the job, and had the most reasonable quote I had received.He scheduled the new roof, with rain date options. His crew was polite, professional, clean and expedient. They showed up 1/2hr early, then worked from 8am - 5pm and finished the entire job, with extras thrown in. I have a 100yr old Colonial, with a flat roof den (with double sky lights) and a breeze-way to attached garage, a technically difficult job. They did a total rip-down, and repaired any extra wood where needed. He cleaned & totally refurbished the sky lights for free. Carlos explained & showed me the work in detail, amazingly polite & honest. He treated his employees very well with breakfast & lunch breaks and a short break prior to total cleanup (excellent removal of all roof waste),and still finished in 9hrs total! The gutters were included in the price! And they came back 2 days later to complete the gutters. A REAL PRO! If there was a 6th STAR, that would be my rating! Consider me EXTREMELY SATISFIED.
