First of all, this is an amazing thing to do during a pandemic. Everything is closed, especially dance clubs. What's the next best thing that won't have your neighbors hate you? How about a moving party? I wanted to throw a big birthday bash for some of my closest friends. But I was very limited in my options. After contact a ton of places and outdoor vendors to see if they could host, it was a big NO. New restrictions had come down a week earlier, so everything was closing at 10pm! Running out of ideas, I googled some ideas and arrived here. I emailed Vito who was super helpful in setting everything up for me on short notice. Also, I wanted it on Saturday, but they were all booked up! I also had issues booking a dinner reservation and finalizing my guest list, so there were a lot of delays to figure out a place and time for pickup. It wasn't until a few days out that I was able to finalize everything, but Vito was super accommodating and patient with me. He was able to move things around to make sure I had an enjoyable special day. A few days later, I get a nice call from John about setting things up. After hearing about my background (veteran, he comes from a family of veterans), they were able to create an amazing itinerary for the nice and even give me their best driver! I was super excited and so were my friends about this amazing experience. Eddie calls me earlier in the day to confirm the plans and pickup location. Unfortunately, the small streets of New York, we had to get picked up only a couple of blocks away. Eddie greeted each and every one of us while we walked up to this beautiful and epic bus! We honestly we going bonkers when we walked up to it. Eddie was fantastic. He gave us instructions, set us up on music, the route, and was very cordial. We had an amazing time, and the ride was smooth as heck. We stopped by a few places where we could get amazing views of the city, and Eddie helped us out with taking photos that we could remember from the amazing night. At the end of the night, Eddie was super accommodating. He dropped us off where we need to be and made sure we got all of our items off of the bus before he left. He communicated with me the day after to make sure everything was ok and that we had a great time. THIS is customer service! Don't let the situation control your life, you can still enjoy it with what you have. Our safety and health were never an issue, all protocols were followed to a T, and they disinfected the entire bus thoroughly before we got on it. We had some issues with the audio connection as the blue tooth connection kept cutting off but this didn't impact our night. The bus was clean and prompt - which was the most important to us on our wedding day. One issue that did bother me was that the bus driver accepted tip from our wedding planner and then told us at the end of the evening that he didn't receive tip and demanded that we give him additional tip. We confirmed with the planners that they did give him tip. We thought this was very unprofessional. We'd still use them again. Our options were limited because we wanted to transport all of our guests in party buses, so I wish we could say we recommend them. At the end of the day, everyone got where we needed them to go and the buses were clean and nice, but the company was extremely difficult to work with. My main issue was that the company included a line item for a standard tip amount in our contract and on the wedding day, the drivers were asking my guests where their tip was. It is apparently very common in this industry for companies like NYC party bus pros to contract outside drivers and then pocket the tips that couples pay upfront. No matter which company you hire, please insist that you tip your drivers directly. Another issue was just a general lack of professionalism from the company in communicating with us and providing important details to their drivers for the day of. They sent us completely unintelligible, angry sounding, all-caps emails that did not answer our simple questions we sent them prior to the event. On the day of, I (the bride) received probably 15 phone calls from the drivers who were confused about picking up our guests because the company had failed to provide them with the contact information for my coordinator, with whom they had been communicating for weeks. We had guests sitting in our last shuttle begging the driver to leave so they wouldn't be late to the venue for 20 minutes while the driver was panicking because he couldn't get ahold of me (again, the bride) for a final okay to leave. The bottom line is that it is almost impossible to find a professional, responsive transportation company, so if you're trying to save money, find a venue that you don't have to deal with busing for.
