    Mold in hotel room
    Vivian S.

The Pros: The beach and resort is beautiful, the staff are (mostly) welcoming and helpful. The deck-side restaurant is nice, breakfast buffet wonderful, and there's lots to do within walking distance. Bernado at the poolside bar was lovely, as was Dana and Victor at the spa. The Cons: You only get two "included" dinners for 5 days and both restaurants were nearly inedible. There's mold in the hotel rooms. Beachside service, decent cocktails, room service, and many items on menus are an additional cost even with the all-inclusive plan. We attended a sales pitch in exchange for a couples massage and the sales boss was rude and insulted my wife and I. I've stayed at the Grand Fiesta Cancún and Royal Sands and had a far better experience for a similar price there.

very terrible. we registered early check in at 12 pm the room wasn't ready until 4 pm, all we received from that was a dinner voucher after one of the employees snatched food out of my cousin hand... Terrible service, terrible customer service, terrible accommodations. I would NEVER recommend anybody to stay here

Very nice, affordable all inclusive resort. Smaller than other resorts in Cancun but for sure the most affordable without compromising quality service. The resort is on the beach with two medium size pools. Three restaurants and buffet breakfast included in all inclusive package. I would rate food at resort as 7/10. However, with only 3 restaurants, if you are staying longer than 4 days, you'll get bored with the food (we stayed 4 days). Also note that one of the restaurants only lets you eat there if you are staying 3+ nights. Which I thought was unfair even though we weren't affected. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Kept rooms clean etc. I would rate rooms 7/10. Nothing fancy but above average. Beds were comfy. There aren't any activities at night which was a bummer since I went with a group of singles. That would be something I would recommend to the resort is planning night time (or day time) activities for guest.

Hotel, red flag hard currents to swim

The pool is very small with limited chairs (gone by 9am). They require you to wear a wristband at all times. They also have many rules and watch you like a hawk. They do not tell you all the rules at checkin. Some rules are not written down anywhere, they make them up at the front desk. For example, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED ANY VISITORS. If you meet someone outside, THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED IN HOTEL. If you have friends at another hotel, they may only see you in lobby for 30minutes where they can watch you. It's very creepy. But like everything at the hotel, if you pay them $90 then rule no longer applies. SINGLE PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID.

Depending on why you're here in Cancun really determines what kind of rating you'd give this hotel. I'm giving this two stars because of its location and all the staff are nice even though they have a serious communication problem. I was in town for my company convention at the Moon Palace and we decided to come a day early to stay at a hotel in the hotel zone so that we can get some beach time in the aqua blue Caribbean waters. We chose to stay here at the NYX because of its location and high ratings on Tripadvisor. As soon as we walked into our room I was disappointed. We requested for a deluxe room with two beds but what we got was comparable to a specious one bed suite so we had to get a roll away bed for our daughter. The room was nothing like what I saw in pics. They were all modern and newly renovated, ours looked like a pueblo style room in a dungeon where everything seemed old, out of place and mismatched. We went to the front desk to see if we could get a different room, and they offered to upgrade us to a master suite for an additional charge (that's most likely similar to the ones I saw in pictures), but since we're only here for one night we decided not to do it. The food was ok but there's only one main restaurant that serves lunch then switches to dinner so there's not really a lot of options. There are two other restaurants on site but there's a minimum stay and advanced reservations required. They have body wash and shampoo pumps attached in the shower but no conditioner, which later we learned was the least of our problems. We made a couple of calls to the front desk for extra towels then extra pillows, but both times they didn't bring enough of either. They make the bed with two layers of flat sheets instead of a blanket, so we had to call again (twice!) for blankets, but both of the blankets they brought had a sour smell like it was soaked in milk and left out to air dry in the sun, so we just slept with pool towels and cuddled to stay warm. There were drain flies the whole time in the bathroom and the Wi-Fi was super glitchy before 10am. We were just happy to be out of the room, at the beach, and couldn't wait to check out. If you are looking for the all-inclusive dream vacation experienced, this isn't the place. But if you just want to stop here to have some fun in a white sand beach with warm aqua water on your way to another resort that's slightly out of the way, this will do.

Shower shampoo and body gel, no conditioner.

Let me just start off by saying I do regret not getting the all inclusive package. It is pricey to eat at the resort a glass of soda is 5 dollars with each refill an additional 5 so it adds up fast. The food was ok, the breakfast was probably the best. Staff was nice enough, but I felt like not having the all inclusive wrist band I didn't get the same treatment. Would I go there again definitely no.

Wine and strawberries after our wonderful massages

I'll go first by saying some of the positive with NYX hotel. The bartenders/waiters by the beach and pool, Juan, Julio, and the other bartender (his name is slipping my mind at the moment)are wonderful! If I were to come back there it would only be because of those guys. They were funny, attentive, quick, and had impeccable customer service. They go above and beyond. We enjoyed the 80 minutes couples massage along with the champagne and chocolate covered strawberries that came to our beach bed after. One of the best massages I've had a long time. We didn't take go to the pool often but the pool side entertainment guys seemed to be a lot of fun and people really enjoyed them. The outside of the resort is beautiful. For the negatives: Front desk people are not helpful. I have traveled all over and this place is one of the worst places I have stayed. Beware of the 'all inclusive' dinners as it is hard to get in to the two restaurants within the hotel. We were allowed 3 reservations per restaurant with our number of night stays. My boyfriend is an early riser and would try to make a reservation right away in the AM due to their one day prior policy...never had any luck. They use a QR code to book your reservation which is in the lobby. When using this code it just spins...nothing works. The front desk ladies just look at us like we are the problem when, in fact, seems like it's their janky system. Very frustrating. We also booked and paid for a deluxe king room. We got a small room with a queen bed. When we showed them our booking reservation they said we were basically out of luck to get the room we purchased or we could get a new room looking over the lagoon with two twin beds. They didn't offer some sort of refund for the difference between a king and queen room. What customer service they have! Wow! Amazing! Our room was also on the very top floor with no elevator. I understand why no one wanted to make the trek up there to clean our room. Our AC leaked from the ceiling and was almost impossible to get cool in there. The hot tub is also not hot. We noticed for an Adults Only resort there were a lot of kids at breakfast and the pool. After a long day of excursions we took advantage of the room service. I just assumed being an all inclusive restaurant, room service was also included. IT IS NOT. We paid $60 bucks for a burger, pizza and ice cream...and they forgot silverware. Guess we didn't need the spoon to eat ice cream. Again, the only reason I would stay at this resort again would be to see the bartenders and waiters.

Please look at other reviews about items being stolen.

am deeply saddened to leave a one star review. My boyfriend and I stayed from Sept 30th until Oct 3rd for my birthday. Unfortunately on Oct 2nd .2024 we came back from an excursion around 6:30 pm and noticed a watch missing from our room after we showered. This watch was left under the tv the moment we left our room at 5:50 AM. I believe this is no coincidence that it just happened the day before we leave .My boyfriend only brought two watches his gold watch and apple watch. This specific day he decided to wear the apple watch. The entire time we had been locking stuff in the safe but this time we simply forgot. There were only certain people with access to our room. We asked staff to review cameras. They filed a report and said they would question staff the next morning as they all had left for the night. If for some reason its not found they suggested we do a police report. Ofcourse if the cleaners report not seeing a watch there is nothing much the hotel can do. Update we went with guest experience. She said the room was left "open" and it was reported by cleaning staff. They said they did a walk through to check the room out. I was left astonished by this. The lack of accountability was crazy. They said anyone could have gone into the room and stolen the item. The crazy thing is my items , makeup and clothing was still in place. If someone had truly walked in there in hopes to steal upon entering the room they would have searched my bag and luggage. They would have taken my boyfriends belt as well. Also if hotel was concerned about safety why did staff not inform us the room was left "open"when we reported an item missing? Why were we not notified when we arrived. Conviently only when item was reported missing. I spent my night crying my eyes off completely shaking until my boyfriend convinced me to go out and still enjoy my birthday. Even then we came back before 11:30 due to the night being ruined. The hotel itself was clean and organized. The food was amazing. The front desk was inviting and amazing ( Maike and gentlemen at the front). Douglas and trainer also did an amazing job at taking care of us at the restaurant. We did the all inclusive and even upgraded our room. We spent and invested in the hotel along with tipping. Please be aware of leaving items in the room. We have stayed in sketchier hotels and never had any items come up missing. We also did not drink heavily, cause chaos , or were rude. I will be sharing my experience on instagram, facebook and tiktok. Be safe during travels everyone.

Overall the staff and hotel was pretty good but the hotel had a strong smell..possibly mold that they are trying to cover up but it definitely needs to be replaced. It was irritating me the entire trip, please address. It was a quaint hotel.

Did the All-inclusive option and it was well worth the price! Make sure to bring in your passport if you are from out of the country, they will need to scan it, and make sure when you sign their documents when checking in that it matches your signature on your passport. Rooms were very clean and modern. Room came with a mini-fridge filled with water, beer, and sodas (They refill this for all inclusive). The water pressure for the shower is weak, and the bed Is a little uncomfortable (too firm). Nice balcony outside with a nice view of the Hotel Zone and canal (I believe the cost is additional for the beach view). All-inclusive: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is all included at the restaurant located on the resort. The lunch and dinner at their restaurant is Amazing! Great tasting food with beautiful presentation. The breakfast buffet however was underwhelming, the lunch and dinner makes up for this! All drinks at the bar and restaurant is included! However premium drinks is not included (This includes drinks in a coconut or pineapple). The beach is beautiful with plenty of chairs. You may also reserve a cabana or have dinner on the beach for a cost. I took one star off because they seem a little disorganized. We made reservations for another one of their restaurants on site (Chianti Restaurant) and they lost our voucher for an all inclusive meal. I also saw they also ran out of rooms for a couple that had a reservation.

False Advertisement! I had booked since March 2022 for August and when we checked in turns out our "All Inclusive" was not All Inclusive. They claimed that's the name of the hotel, NYX Hotel All inclusive but it's in fact not named like that. They asked if we wanted to upgrade to all inclusive we had to pay $700 dollars more on top of the $1,500 I had already paid when I had booked and paid for All Inclusive package for 5 nights. I ended up paying for 2 All inclusive which I had to pay $280 dollars extra which I regret because I was not even worth it! I had paid extra for the Master Suite, when we got to our room the smell was very bad almost if not mold, the AC had a leak and there was a big puddle of water on the floor, they moved me to another room. The fridge was so small only had one water per day, and only two towels. The bed sheets and so cheap and the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. The food was extremely over priced $100 per night for 2. I did not like that no one was allowed to be in the pool after 8pm and they always ran out of towels. Front desk is rude and seems like they do not know what they're doing. Breakfast was disgusting the eggs were so watery and nothing looked fresh. Overall; I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed. I do NOT recommend this place for anyone! Save your money and book somewhere else! This isn't even close to being a resort. Only looks nice from the outside but is very humid and smells horrible. Just like a cheap hotel when in fact nothing in here is cheap and they try to take your money for anything. Only positive thing I did like was the ocean view and the location of the hotel- mall, stores, bus stop are all walking distance.

Sometimes all inclusive hotels can feel gimmicky, like being on a cruise ship or something. This was not that at all. This was a high end experience from start to finish. The hotel service and facilities are impeccable. I was blown away by the care they take to tend to each guest. I was only there for a few days and people took the effort to learn my name and my personal preferences. To start, the room was incredible. I stayed in a suite and it had a juccuzi right inside the room and an ocean view with a hammock. The room also came with a mini bar which was restocked daily (although you could also call and request anything at any time). Every day they had a different schedule of activities for guests with quality entertainment (not tacky acts). They had all all white party with a circus one day which was fun, a foam party, bull riding and more. The food deserves its own review. It exceed my expectations by a lot. They had several food options to choose from, including an Asian restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, a mexican restaurant a cafe and a global buffet. The restaurants were all open extended hours until 10 or 10:30 so there were always food options available. The global buffet did different themed dinners every night. Of the restaurants, I liked all but I'd say the Mediterranean was the most high quality. The preparation and taste was on par with any top NYC restaurant. The octopus dish was especially memorable. Second favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant. They have a chef from Oaxaca who makes a great mole. At each restaurant, the managers always made an effort to stop by my table to make sure I had what I needed. The employees genuinely care about serving you and they do it gladly. Sometimes you go to places where the employees are disgruntled or have a bad attitude. Not the case here at all. Everyone seemed generally happy and in a good mood. It felt like most of the people here were celebrating something, whether a bachelorette party or birthday, but it didn't feel overall raucous or anything. They had a silent disco one night and I think that also helped with any potential late night noise issues. I was really impressed with how well curated the schedule of activities was. Additionally, the hotel was very clean. When I first got in, people were mopping. They're constantly changing pool towels that are left out. Everything was spotless. The sheets were crisp and white. My room was changed to my liking. No complaints. One of the better places I've stayed. I would definitely come back in a heart beat. I loved it here!

This was not my first visit to Hyatt Zilara Cancun and it was actually my amazing experience here in 2019 that started my loyalty to Hyatt. I am currently a World of Hyatt Discoverist member, and after my first visit to Zilara, we loved the Hyatt experience so much that we chose Hyatt Ziva for our vow renewal in 2022. Because of that, returning to Zilara was something I had looked forward to for years. First, the staff at this resort deserves so much recognition. My concerns are not a reflection of the employees because the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. From before we even arrived to our final day, everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great experience. Before our trip, Eddie reached out as our concierge and was extremely helpful in making sure we were prepared for our stay. He helped coordinate our spa services ahead of time and assisted us with securing a late checkout, which made our trip much smoother and more relaxing. At check-in, Luis helped us on the World of Hyatt side and was wonderful. He explained the changes and additions to the resort, helped us understand reservations, and made sure we had the information we needed. Throughout the resort, the service remained consistent. Even when I had a meal I didn't enjoy, a staff member at the teppanyaki restaurant was genuinely concerned, offered alternatives, and wanted to make it right. That level of care stood out. Our room was excellent. We stayed on the fifth floor in a corner room and it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was fantastic, and I loved the pillows so much I am actually trying to find out what kind they are so I can buy them for home. The bathroom was great, especially the mirror with multiple lighting options. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, which I always appreciate. The only thing I personally missed was having a bathtub, but overall I had no complaints about the room. The resort itself is beautiful and extremely clean. The pool area is relaxing with comfortable chairs, and it was never difficult to find a place to sit. The atmosphere is definitely more quiet and relaxing rather than a party environment, which can be a positive depending on the type of trip you want. The beach was well maintained, especially considering the seaweed situation during our visit. The staff worked hard to keep it cleaned up, and the things outside of the resort's control, like weather and ocean conditions, did not impact my opinion. The spa was absolutely phenomenal and I wrote a separate review specifically for that experience because it deserves its own recognition. The gym was also impressive for a resort gym. There was plenty of equipment, treadmills, a stretching/yoga space, and even a Pilates studio. I was hoping to participate in Pilates, but the class filled up quickly. I thought the fitness offerings were a nice addition. Where this stay fell short for me was the food. At an all-inclusive resort, the food experience is such a huge part of the overall value because you are eating every meal on property. When we visited in 2019, one of our favorite memories was eating at Pelicanos by the pool, so we were excited to return there first. We knew things had changed since our last visit, but unfortunately the quality and options did not feel the same. We tried several restaurants, and while the service was always great, the food itself was disappointing. The Italian restaurant felt very bland overall, although the bread service and tiramisu were enjoyable. The cacio e pepe and pasta dishes did not meet expectations. The teppanyaki experience also was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a traditional hibachi-style experience, and the meat quality was disappointing. The buffet was fine, especially breakfast, but nothing really stood out. Room service was quick and the staff was friendly, but again the food itself was not something we loved. My favorite treat on property ended up being the ice cream at the coffee shop. The biggest thing I missed was having easy poolside food options. When I'm at an all-inclusive, I love being able to relax by the pool and grab things like quesadillas, ceviche, or small bites without stopping the pool day. The lack of that type of experience was probably my biggest disappointment. Drinks and pool service were great, and the staff did a wonderful job checking on guests. I personally don't drink alcohol, but it was clear they were attentive with beverages. Entertainment was limited compared to some other all-inclusive resorts. There were some activities and a few performances, but not the larger

We checked in on a Sunday around 4:30, and the room was already cleaned up and ready. We stayed in one of the terrace rooms on the fourth floor, and the room was well maintained the whole trip. Housekeeping was really good, and the lady who seemed to consistently clean our room was super friendly. They also do evening turndown service between about 6 and 9, which I liked more than I thought I would. The food was hit or miss. Sea Corner was easily the biggest disappointment. You really have to like ceviche to enjoy that spot. I tried the battered fish taco, which was a really small rolled fried fish taco and honestly tasted kind of stale. The red snapper tostada was okay, but still pretty subpar. Overall, Sea Corner is one I would skip. Ciete's breakfast buffet was decent, but still very buffet. Some of the food had that stale, been-sitting-out-too-long taste, but the omelet bar and fresh juice/smoothie bar helped a lot. They have two omelet bars, which spreads people out, and Marco at the smoothie bar was awesome. He remembered me after my first smoothie and was friendly the rest of the trip. Azure was pretty good. We split hummus and pita, and I got the chicken in red wine. The chicken was cooked perfectly and came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were really good. Dessert was just okay. The baklava was very cinnamon-heavy and almost tasted like a churro. MB was good and definitely felt like their "dress up" restaurant. I had the stuffed chicken, my girlfriend had the veal cheek, and we also tried the filet mignon. The filet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the meal overall was good. Not amazing, but one of the better dinners there. Hidden Garden was probably our favorite restaurant. We went there twice because it was that good compared to the other options. The samosas, gyoza, chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and desserts were all really good. The Thao, basically their version of orange chicken, was also really good. The pad Thai was okay, but sweeter than I prefer. Their signature cocktails were also really good. The Thursday night show was a nice part of the trip. They had a buffet by the pool, with a mariachi band from 7 to 8 and traditional Mexican dancing from 8 to 9. The dancing was almost like a theater-style show, and that part was great. The buffet was on par or slightly below par. They had a crepe bar, a grill with pretty good steak and chicken, and a couple decent soups, but a lot of it still had that left-out-too-long, slightly stale buffet taste. The entertainment and activities were a big highlight. Trivia every night was great, and karaoke was a blast once people started getting into it. Pablo hosted trivia and karaoke with Jorge as the DJ, and Pablo brought a lot of energy. Jorge also DJs at Egos later at night, and they played a good mix of American dance music and Latin dance music. During the day, we tried archery, water aerobics, bingo, the guacamole class, casino night, and a self-facial class. Archery was a blast, and aqua aerobics in the infinity pool was really fun. Ricky was a ball of energy, and Jocelyn was really cool too. The activities did not feel like boring resort filler, which was a nice surprise. A few things could be better. Pool towel service closes at 6, even though people are still in the pool later. There is also basically no shade in most of the pools, so you get crispy pretty fast. They also need to be clearer about which pool beds are first-come, first-serve and which ones are paid or for Club Aqua. I saw multiple people get moved because it was not explained well. Communication could be better too. Some restaurants are closed on certain days, probably because the resort was around 50% capacity, but they should give you a schedule at check-in. We planned to try Verana, their Italian restaurant, and then found out it was closed that day. The humidity is something to think about. Obviously it is Cancun, but the indoor areas and hallways do not have much air circulation. Our fourth-floor hallway also had a broken water feature with sitting water, and I think that made the hallway smell more humid and musky than the rest of the resort. The drinks were decent, but I would not go in expecting strong resort cocktails. I drank margaritas and pina coladas most of the trip and never really felt much from them. For stronger drinks, shots are probably the better route. Overall, Live Aqua Cancun was a really nice, relaxing trip. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the activities were way more fun than expected, and Hidden Garden was a nice surprise. The food is not amazing across the board, the pool setup could be better, and communication could use work, but I still had a really good time. Good resort, not perfect, but definitely worth checking out.

Marie, Frank and America = the ultimate trio butlers to have during your stay…read moreWe ran into Marie more often and absolutely just loved her warmth and hospitality Everything here is everything you need. From beautiful sunrise to sunset, it's a must come. Mercado Buffet - (as pictured) the woman who was there everyday when I was there, was the bomb! Made tacos so promptly and they were so yummy. Definitely I looked forward to every morning! Habanero - Rafael M., we saw him on our last day. But never have I ever seen anyone so hard in such hot weather and be grateful to meet, greet, serve so many people and still put a smile on his face. If we went the beginning of our trip, I don't doubt we would have been there every single day because of him! The Spa - CESAR! Sofia and Sara are the people you need to cross paths. Cesar is the one who got us in. Never did he rush us, he wanted us to enjoy our time at the pool and he circled back with kindness. And that's the only reason why we committed to the spa! Sofia and Sara were our people at the Spa, and boy did they put in work! I felt so relaxed and decompressed at the end of our trip because of them!!! Tradewinds - Araceli, the one who made our last day special. I told her it was our last day, and she brought the whole staff to sing and had us wear a big sombrero! It was so heartwarming and it made my heart sink, and did not make me want to leave!! The French restaurant is also a must! Loved the potato leek soup and the lamb rack. The Italian restaurant had amazing cheese mushroom pizza! I've been to Hyatt Los Cabo's, and the one thing Cancun didn't have was to go boxes due to regulations. The dolphins are such a cute thing to wake up to and was such a nice thing to do for family and people! We stayed at the Turquoise building. Loved the bath outside the room! It was my birthday, and my boyfriend and the staff really made it beyond special. From roses to balloons, to cards, to the simplest reminder of all them knowing it was my birthday and wishing me the best. You will hear a lot of, welcome family or hi family. And by the end of the trip, you will really feel that they really did become your family. 100/100 recommend this place!!!

Unfortunately, for the past two years, our experiences have declined significantly. The hotel no longer maintains the level of service and standards we once loved. The atmosphere feels different, the staff are not as welcoming, and there is a noticeable lack of attentiveness and care. During this stay, we had a particularly unpleasant two-day experience at the beach regarding the setup of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Rather than going into every detail, I will simply say the situation was handled poorly and left us very disappointed. What was most upsetting was that no meaningful effort was made to resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. Even after speaking with Guest Relations, who mentioned contacting the General Manager, nothing improved the following day. No accommodation or gesture was offered, which was surprising given the hotel's luxury positioning. It is also noticeable that the property feels quite empty during weekdays, except on special occasions or long weekends. Even then, the warmth and hospitality we once associated with this hotel seem to be missing. That said, I want to sincerely recognize Valenzo, who served us daily. He was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. We never had to ask for anything, he would notice small details, like refilling ice before we even realized it was melting. His service was outstanding and he truly tried to make our stay better. Thank you, Valenzo. You made a difference. It is genuinely sad to see a place that once meant so much to us lose its standard. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and invests in retraining staff to restore the level of service this property was once known for.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and were looking forward to a relaxing vacation. We arrived early, 7:30AM and our private transportation picked us up after about 15-20 minutes after arriving. After a quick drive to the resort, we checked in. No welcome towel service nor welcome drink, but we received a warm neck wrap. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready until 11:30AM, so we walked around to explore the property and have breakfast. We received a text message from the lobby that our room was ready and to return to the front desk. We were told our room number and that our luggage would be delivered shortly. The room had a beautiful view of the ocean, clean, stocked with snacks and drinks ,and over all nice. We unpacked ourselves and headed to the pool. While we were on the way, we met our butler who's desk is located in the hallway of the elevators. At that time we were connected to a WhatsApp group text. Then we returned to our room with our butler, who reviewed the amenities and light switches in our room. We ate at all the restaurants. We went to Blanc and Terraza for breakfast and our 2 favorite restaurants for dinner were Bella and Yama. Unfortunately, on a few occasions, Terraza and Yama served us cold food, as if they were sitting out too long. We tried scheduling room service breakfast and they were behind in schedule 30-40 minutes. We were underwhelmed as the room service menu as it wasn't as grand as the other palace resorts; we were looking forward to the chocolate cake; which wasn't available. The K'akau, coffee shop was the best to relieve our chocolate cravings. The main pool lounge chairs were always taken, so get there early. We relaxed at all the pools and depending on the day had our favorite. The beach is beautiful and the lifeguard at the tower was always welcoming and helpful to get us lounge chairs. The spa services and hydrotherapy were wonderful, but we were disappointed that the men and women were separated in the pool and jacuzzi areas. We ran into difficulties with our dinner and spa bookings. We made prior arrangements with our pre-concierge, but when we wanted to change our schedule, the on site concierge didn't have access to canceling them. We were told to email our pre-concierge to ask her to delete them from the system. Our pre-concierge also didn't confirm our restaurant bookings for certain days and so we had to ask our Butler if they were booked. What was the most disappointing was the evening entertainment. We were looking forward to certain shows/performances and then a few hours before the scheduled time, seeing the entertainment was removed and replaced with something mundane. We've been to Sun Palace, another adult only resort, down the road and after our experience at Le Blanc, we actually prefer Sun Palace over Le Blanc. From our experience.. Le Blanc is a great place if you enjoy the spa, peace and quiet, and want to just chill and lounge. But if you want a little more excitement, fun, music, and meet people and have great conversations, Sun Palace is the place. Our Butler, Rene on the 3rd floor was awesome. He made our anniversary special. Safety: We felt safe. When we arrived at the resort after walking down the hotel zone, security always checked us in. When we arrived via taxi or uber, they did the same thing. If you walked out to the beach, you have to scan your bracelet to exit the gate and also scan it the when you enter back onto the resort property. Elevators: There are 3 elevators and during our stay, 1 was always out of order. One day, 2 elevators were out of order. Luckily, we were only on the 3rd floor, so we often took the stairs. The stairwell does need more lighting, it is dark, so watch your step.

Housekeeping replaced them, but the odor and overall condition never improved. Not what you expect at this level. Then it got worse. We had two rooms, one at this hotel and one at a neighboring hotel where a large group of our family was staying. That other hotel requires wristbands, which we had, so security here assumed we didn't belong, even though we had rooms at this property. At the pool, they approached us publicly and repeatedly questioned us, over and over, in front of everyone. No attempt to verify privately, no discretion, just standing over us and making a scene. It was humiliating. Then it happened again. While checking out, we crossed back onto this property to retrieve our luggage that they were holding. Security stopped us again and treated us like we were doing something wrong, only to confirm, once again, that we were legitimate guests. Two separate incidents. Same behavior. The level of aggression and lack of professionalism from security is completely out of control. This is not how paying guests should ever be treated. The pool and beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas. If you don't see any available just ask and they will make it happen if possible. My complaint about the pool would be they close at 7:00. One small pool stay open until 8:00. Way too early for an adult only. I suggest if you want to do excursions to go straight across the street to one of the stands. If you know what you want to do they are a much better deal, but be certain you know where you want to go. make sure and get transportation included in your excursion. Also in that area there is the Bamboo Spa. You can get a massage for less than half at the resort spa. They did a very good job and were very professional. Not a "happy endings" type of place.
