Fantastic job by O and O Tree Service. Sadly our 38 year old maple tree died and had to be taken down. O and O did a highly professional job of removing the tree and related work at a price that was significantly less than all the other estimates we received. As we intend to put another tree in the same location we wanted the stump ground. We have plants surrounding the tree area so in order to give the machine access to grind the stump O and O carefully removed the necessary plants, ground the stump and then replanted the plants. We had a tree leaning precariously against a neighbor's tree late one afternoon while out of town and in 30 they had arrived and assessed the situation. 30 minutes after that they had the tree stabilized and returned the next morning - a Sunday - to remove the tree. This was no sapling - it was a 100 year old 100 foot tall giant beech tree. They were courteous, respectful of both my and my neighbor's property and cleaned up when they were done. I got several estimates and theirs was the lowest and they were the only ones who could come immediately to stabilize the tree before it could do any damage by falling completely. Highly recommend them! In fact I hired them to return to trim my other giants and they did a great job there as well!! read more

They are an outstanding company. Excellent work at very fair prices. Their quote was lowest for taking down a 75 foot red oak with a 50 foot canopy. They did very careful work with a crane and I could see that workers were well protected. Hauled everything away and even used leaf blower to get leaves & twigs from my roof. When I was not completely satisfied with the stump grinding that was part of the quote, they came within an hour with the grinding machine and took care of it. Oscar and Oliver took down a large white oak in my yard because the tree was considered unsafe (it had 2 cracks in the trunk). They were here with their crew and equipment and handled the job professionally, securing the street, handling people walking by, cleaning up, and, the main thing, cutting a very large tree. Used O and O again to cut some branches that were touching my roof. Super efficient team. They came out the same day cut down the branches and cleaned up the area. While they were on the roof they went ahead and cleaned my gutters. I don't understand how they decide on the prices for services but I'm the type of person who doesn't do comparison shopping and pays fulls price for everything so I can't comment on prices. Oliver responded to my call and came out for an estimate the same day for a difficult tree removal of a large tree in an alley, overhanging wires and neighbors' yards and homes. We were able to schedule the removal and stump grinding within two weeks. He came out with a large team, and all the right equipment and worked quickly and efficiently, without causing damage to any of out property or others around us. He also did it for less than any other estimates (in some cases, the other estimates were double his and didn't include stump grinding, which other companies claimed wasn't possible in the space). After multiple bad experiences with other tree services that failed to come out when they were supposed to, gave us estimates that changed, or claimed they could do the job but then discovered they didn't have the proper equipment, I can't say enough good things about O&O. read more

We had an amazing experience with Oscar and Olivie from O&O. We hired them to remove 5 very tall damaged oaks and a bunch of small trees in our backyard. They were very professional and curteous, they brought impressive heavy machinery to mulch the small trees, and to carry the logs to the trucks. They also had a stump grinder which eats into the ground leaving the roots completely underground. Their staff used protective gear and worked in a nicely choreographed team whenever a branch was being cut in order to bring it down safely. My very picky neighbor even told me how impressed he was with them as they cleaned the garage and the street before finishing the job. Did a reasonably good job cutting the tree down but did not pick up all of the broken branches. Did not get a written estimate, but they kept to their word on the verbal estimate. O&O did a fantastic job removing two large dying trees in our front yard at an excellent price. They arrived on time and were very careful removing the trees, one of which was leaning over our house and surrounded by power lines. We got estimates from 9 different arborists and tree service companies, and O&O was the second lowest. We went with them because we saw them doing some other work in the neighborhood with their huge crane, and they were very efficient and skilled in their work, whereas we were completely unfamiliar with the lowest bidder. So for us, the extra couple hundred bucks was worth it for peace of mind, especially because of the tree leaning over our house. They also agreed to have Miss Utility come out to mark our lines to make sure nothing was near the stumps to be ground down. They did a great job with clean up, even blowing the dust off our roof, our street, and the neighbors' cars. A rogue stick broke a neighbor's lightbulb in a lamp, but they quickly apologized to them and installed a replacement bulb. I would have liked a written estimate and a signed contract before beginning the work, but it turned out OK in the end.
