I was in a desperate fix. It would have been easy for any contractor to try to gouge someone in my situation. Elements not only gave us a reasonable price, they did the job very well and finished it with days to spare. They had interest-free financing available for us to bridge the gap while we refinanced our home to pay for the work. They were even willing to talk to my insurance company/State Board of Insurance if it would have helped. In other words, they owned my problem without any obligation to do so. Home Contractors are famous for being flaky and doing crummy work. It's a horrible industry. Elements Home Remodeling seems to have a great business model. "Do good work and be obvious about doing so. The contrast will bring in business". I cannot recommend EHR enough. Really.

(Not that i didnt care about the other it just became much more personal to me). I can honestly say that Julio's painting company has been one of the best I have ever encountered. It is my practice to gather estimates from several company's , Julio was one of the 7 that showed up and wrote up a proposal. He was the 3rd lowest in the group, but what put him to the top, is that i needed someone to hang a chandelier in the foyer and he wrote it into his proposal, while others wanted to charge separately with additional fees. I always find it Leary, when contractors try to make allowances to charge you more with their "IF something happens" or "IF more time or material is needed". You know what i mean. I just want one straight up number (amount) and we are good to go!! He also took his time and made lots of notes when he did a walk through. You could see that he truly knew his "Work"! We hired him and he and his crew showed up a week later right on time! They were there for Aprox 3 days repairing and fixing the drywalls sanding it down and then painting (walls, ceiling, trims and doors). They then took a day break, because we had our household goods delivered. (Yes, they were very flexible and willing to working with us). They restarted the next day and by day 5 they were all done. During the job, my husband and i set up camp in our basement, so we wouldn't be in there way, however whatever encounters we had, he and his crew were very respectful, accommodating and mindful of there presence there. They cleaned up at the end of each day. On the day before completion, he had us walk the house and gave us painters tape to mark any areas of concern. They showed up the next day and addressed every nicks and scrapes that we tagged. On completion, we were extremely happy and satisfied with the job they had done. So Pleased that we contracted him to do the Exterior of the home. They power washed the walls, gutters, siding and even my windows. they then painted all the trim and areas that they had power washed. They did such an AMAZING job that two of our neighbors have already requested a referral. I cant say enough about this company and Julio. We are extremely greatful that we contracted the RIGHT people for the job and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I hired them to take down a tree that fell on my deck. They said they could repair the deck as…read morewell. I said fine. All was well with the tree. They knocked it out quickly and safely. If you want them to clear the debris, they don't have a truck big enough to haul anything away - FYI. The deck was a disaster. I can't even describe what a horrible job they did there. The rails on the deck don't match the rails on the stairs. They bought the wrong size caps for the posts, so they "shaved" the tops down to fit. You can imagine how nice that looks. There were 7 post caps. Only 6 of them matched. Not sure why one of them was the wrong size and a completely different design, but this is an example of the lack of attention to detail. The rails are not level. The spindles are not flush and some of them aren't even attached. You can't run your hand along the handrail because they used screws which are visible (ugly) and splintered so it's not safe. They only did half the stairs because the other half were not storm damaged. The original risers are white. I couldn't paint the new ones white because they used two boards instead of one and horribly puttied them so having them white would just draw attention to how horrible this looks. They didn't sand anything so the blotchy putty is very visible and looks way worse than if they would have simply left the seam. They painted with a sprayer. There is paint splatter everywhere. The paint is uneven. I told them not to come that day because it was going to rain. They showed up anyway when I wasn't home and painted anyway. The next day 80% of it was washed off which made it more uneven and ugly. I was so disgusted with this that I ended up painting the rest myself, YET THEY STILL WANTED THE FULL FEE. The trim for the posts were made of this wood that is not trim. It's rough with big, fat screws sticking out instead of flush and clean. Clean up was a joke. There were all these little SKU tabs from the wood all over the yard. I also picked up no fewer than 40 screws from the grass. Seriously. Nothing matches the rest of my porch in craftsmanship, quality, style, or color. They were NEVER on time. Start to finish took 41 days. Communication was horrible. Every time I tried to talk to Mario about something, he just talked in circles, never answered a question, totally ignored my concerns, and just kept repeating himself. He complained that they weren't making money on the job and said he needed to have money now to pay his workers (even though the job wasn't done). This was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had. I am having this all torn down and redone because it's so hideous that I cannot leave it up. Every time I look at it, I just cry. It's not at all professional and looks worse than if a toddler did it. And these guys are supposed to be professionals? Seriously? I didn't bother to hound them to fix it because they don't have the skill. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I hired them because I know what it's like to be self-employed and I wanted to support a small business and got burned.
