This place could be 5 stars. The pluses. The bagels are outstanding, definitely excellent and 5 star. The minuses. The prices are sky high, and the staff is not exactly friendly or welcoming. I've gone here many times, and each time, you get a "what do you want" and that's it. No good morning, no positive vibes nothing. The place has some of the best bagels around and is convenient to my house, however the people here need an attitude adjustment and need to be more friendly! First thing I need to address is Food Safety. What's the point in wearing a glove if you're never going to use it. I saw the lady at the cashier dealing with money with the non-gloved hand, then start working on the next sandwich with both hands. Never even washed her hands either. SO WEAR TWO GLOVES, and CHANGE THE GLOVES FREQUENTLY!!! I mean it's not that expensive to get disposable gloves. Costco and BJ's sells them by the hundreds for like $3. Unfortunately, this is one of the only bagel places around other than Dunkin Donuts and A&P. But if food inspection comes randomly this place would be cited. It's a shame on you, and everyone needs to be retrained. Next, the sandwich portions are inconsistent. One person gets a lot of cream cheese or meats, the next a little... Weigh the meat if you don't know the proper portion, get a proper scooper to dab on cream cheese. And when you know people are taking things to go, give at least a napkin... Slow as hell. Always confusing. Bagels are hit or miss. Bacon is always greasy and undercooked. Eggs are cooked on a burnt butter grill. They rarely pick up the phone. Its always too hot in there and the tv is on a soccer game ? Most of the time prices change week by week. Otherwise it's great. Buy an overpriced t-shirt or hat covered in grease for 20$. I have been coming here for years. This weekend might have it. I am constantly disappointed with service in this place. The staff sometimes has an attitude which makes you as a customer feel that if you don't act nicely, you'll piss them off. It's happened to me a few times. Once, the server got my order wrong and then was frustrated with ME. I don't even go back when they forget ketchup on my eggs and cheese because I don't want to deal with them. And that's happens quite a bit. Bagels themselves are mostly fresh but the kitchen doesn't look all that clean and makes you wonder just how your tuna salad was made and when. A customer should never feel like they have to act extra nice to get what they're paying for. $6 bagels, mind you. While on vacation we stopped at this location for breakfast. My family loved the assortment of bagel sandwiches offered. The egg sandwiches are made to order and the bagels are the perfect sandwich holder. We tried the tomato and mozzarella omelet sandwich and the corned beef omelet. Everyone really loved them. I live around the corner from the Riverwalk O'Bagel and have been going there before school and during the weekends for years. I have never before experienced the meanest and outright rude employees at a restaurant. Granted, they have the BEST bagels around, I really quickly go to the O'Bagel 20 minutes away In Dewey Meadows because they are so much nicer. I know they work in a quick-service industry where people are usually probably just as curt and rude, but after going there 75+ times over the course of 4-5 years every single time I am either hung up on after being asked to go on hold for 5 minutes, yelled at while taking my order if they don't understand me the first time, or either met with unwarranted aggression and negativity. They also have no system for pickup so ordering/calling anything in is a nightmare. I never leave bad reviews because I know everyone is doing their best but I've felt like I needed to do this to let people know for a while. If you can, make the extra trek to O'Bagel in Dewey Meadows to not be yelled at. read more

Maybe some folks don't like these bagels, but we think they are fabulous. We have been to so many other places and they can be tasteless, but not from O'Bagel. Things might get a tad confusing, and one day there is too much cream cheese and another, not enough, but that's OK. Just not a big deal. It's a pretty good spot - I usually go here once a month to get bagels for myself and coworkers on a weekday and I've had no problems. In fact, a few coworkers specifically request the French toast bagels (it's a bit too sweet for my taste but I'm always happy with their everything bagels). Service is good but it's usually not busy when I go (around 7:30 am) On the weekends this place is always crowded and sandwiches are made to order. It's a tight spot so service isn't their best at this peak time. Also, I learned early on that they are heavy handed with the ketchup so I'd suggest asking for packets on the side unless you really really like ketchup. read more

Truly life changing bagels. The only bagel place I'll ever go to. No bagel is the same as an O'bagel. Their deli sandwiches and cheesesteaks are also phenomenal. Coffee is always a nice dark roast. In my opinion, the mark of a good bagel store is a pumpernickel bagel that tastes like a pumpernickel bagel. Outside of Manhattan, in my experience, stores that sell you a pumpernickel bagel are selling you something with so little pumpernickel that it looks like a pumpernickel bagel because of the coloration, but tastes like a plain bagel. At O'Bagel, the pumpernickel bagel is actually a pumpernickel bagel! The bagels are also the perfect size and texture. Furthermore, their chicken salad is the best around. read more

I'm downgrading this place 1-star. I really like the food here -- let me be completely clear about that. I love the fact that they serve Boar's Head products and the bagels are good. The food is solid. On to the bad. The service is pretty bad. Depending on who you get taking your order, it can be an adventure. I've been here with a simple order, placed it and people who came in after me end up leaving well before I do. It can get frustrating. I also think the service could be a lot more friendly considering we come here a lot. Prices are also a little on the steep side. I've decided to take a quick break from this place but I will be back giving them another shot. They are so convenient to where I live so I really do want to like this place. read more

I've been here several times and I've had it ! Ok as I recall the bagels are decent but the sandwiches area bit of a joke.You don't get a pickle and they're skimpy.I got a chicken salad sandwich the other week and the chicken was that really bland chicken salad not worth bothering with.Today I got a ham and swiss that had very little ham or swiss.It's not that what you get here is bad.It's just you don't get much period.Overall my sense is that they aren't really trying too hard and are very focused on keeping costs down. read more

O'bagel has no doubt the best Whole Wheat everything bagels around. However their service and their up keep isn't the best. My last visit , I ordered a pound of Bologna, it took the woman a good seven minuets to slice only a quarter pound, I stopped her short because it was taking to long and I I really needed to get going. While waiting for her to slice the bologna I noticed MOLD in the pepper shaker, that to me is vile. I brought it to their attention but the shaker just sat on the counter even after we left and no comment was made about it. While they have Great bagels I really think their staff needs to be trained in customer service and how to use the equipment they work with. read more

Horrible Counter people!!! It was a very bad situation this morning when I tried to order my bagels, and asked to put the everything and garlic bagels in one bag, and the plain bagels in another bag. The woman behind the counter began throwing the bagels against the wall, and yelling Spanish words at me that I can only assume were curses, because I didn't order all the bagels in one bag at once. She then left me, and went to butter a bagel for someone else. It was a ridiculous scene, and the people behind the counters are the rudest I have ever seen. I have seen them treat people in the WORST way because the manager could not care less. The bagels are good, but you will stand on line for 20 minutes because they are the only bagel store in town, and have to put up with nasty people. I ended up walking out. It just wasn't worth it. Poor customer service. I went there twice in the past week and was ignored both times by the cashier. Extremely frustrating! He should pay attention to the customer in front of him. The drink fridge was empty I couldn't get juice and all he did was stare at me when I was trying to get a drink from the back of the fridge. And then he ignored me when I was trying to add to my order at the register. As well as when I was trying to pay. Because he was to busy talking to his friends. As an avid OBagel visitor, time and time again this location has been the worst of the 4. Their bagels are usually good, however, the employees really seem to have no idea what is going on. Don't go into this place if you are in a hurry because they are slower than snails!! They don't cut bagels evenly, you'll probably get one side WAY thicker. Make sure you have a garbage bag and an extra knife in your car if you get cream cheese because they'll put on half a carton but only on half the bagel, so you'll have to spread it on your own. When the establishment has a long line, they do nothing to make the service better or faster. You'll be standing in line for a woman who has no idea how to use the ipad register. Overall the bagels are so good but this service at this location makes me never want to return. I'll stick to the Stirling location which is THE BEST ONE. read more

I love the way this place makes my sandwiches. There are 3 locations and they all have things that make them unique. This one has better sandwiches and omelets. There is seating inside and out. This is the perfect place to have lunch or breakfast. There is a $10 minimum if you wish to use a debit or credit card. They have the shirts for sell and all sorts of name brand and off name brand chips. Sometimes they have gum and stuff for sell at times but other than the sandwiches the drinks here are phenomenal. They have the Calypso drinks that I love and no other locations have them :D read more

Good food but unfriendly service. They make you feel as if your a nuisance. They once took back my bagel sandwich and coffee because I only had a credit card and didn't meet the $10.00 minimum. After I told the attendant that they regularly accept my CC for under $10.00 she replied, "I don't" and took back the sandwich. They all remind me of my fifteen year old daughter. Hands down, no doubt the best bagels anywhere in the area. Guests I've had from NYC (where they know bagels) rave about these. But I have to agree with others that prices can be high. The friendliness of the staff is also puzzling. Sam (who used to be and I still think is in charge of this 3 store chain) is the nicest guy.
