Well of course I've experienced better...who hasn't? But I still go to O'Brian's every now and again because it's the closest bar to one of my best friends/drinking buddies house. It's a hole...with some pool...a condom/sex toy machine in the restroom...some scuzzy "regulars" and a few trashy old men...all conveniently nestled next door to an AA meeting spot (WTF!!??!!. Most recently, this was the last stop for me and my friends on my birthday before the bars closed. Without going into great detail let me just say the night ended with us defending the poor bartender who was being yelled at by a sloppy, trashy possibly pregnant girl because the bartender cut her off...not to mention it was 2 a.m. So the trashy possibly prego bea-tch didn't appreciate me or my friends telling her to back off so...she smacked my best friend on the head...resulting in a girl fight that was extinguished fairly quickly after they kicked the drunk out. Very chill place to get a drink and catch a game. People all seem easy going and friendly (customers that is) (bartenders sometimes seem a bit uptight) They do karaoke quite regularly and some of the people are pretty fantastic. They also have tacos outside on weekends which is pretty perfect as well. All in all, a chill spot. read more

I left one star because it wont let me leave it blank.. last night my BF and I decided to come to O'Brian's for the taco truck and margaritas since it was his bday. When we approached the bar there was a white Caucasian man sitting on our left. 5 min into being in the bar this man started talking about White power and doing the white power sign. Mind you I'm full Mexican and my bf is black. He kept saying it over and over and even starting talking to the bartender about it and she was exchanging words with him regarding what he was stating. he proceeded to say it.. so my bf and I decided to leave as we were extremely uncomfortable and I didn't want any confrontation. I'm so upset this happened especially on his bday and even more upset that the bartender didn't say anything and continued to engage in the racist comments this man was saying. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone and will be going on social media and let everyone know about this behavior. read more

Atmosphere in here is an old biker bar type of place. Arrived around 8pm on a Friday night and there were a group of bikers playing pool already past their limit and bartenders were still serving them until they were spewing racist remarks and falling over on bar tables. They dont play any modern hip hop at all, crap music that's 7+ years old. Drinks were decently priced though and tasted great. Pool table, darts, not enough seating, bathrooms were clean. It has only been a few days and I have heard that the owner has taken action! I heard those rude gentlemen from Thursday night are not usual patrons of this establishment and will not be welcomed back. Measures have been taken to assure the safety of all guests. Came here for the first time. Visiting from out of town. Where to start? You have to order a slice of pizza for 2 bucks. No big deal being covid 19 days. I've always had the best intentions and helped every bartender as needed tossed people and broke up fights while your bouncer was outside smoking weed and couldn't help because he was to high with jimmy and Ryan outside review your tapes bud, I break bread in your bar never have I started trouble and the one time I have had an issue I go to your bouncer and tell him what's up and I get tossed?! O'brians is a cool fun bar but the bartender mellissa has a very bad attitude. Not the first time,2nd,3rd,or 4th. Time. I asked for 2 shots during happy hr and tried to charge me 12 bucks, I stated my brother is paying for it... she turns to him and says "ok $6 for you". For some reason since she started she has some kind of attitude towards me and my wife. I confronted her about it and she brushed it off like nothing.. on a happy note..Lauren is AMAZING. ..... Super disappointed that all the good hip hop, old school and even oldies music are gone. I always enjoyed coming to O'brians over Bookies which is down the street because of the great music selection. We came today to see that great music had disappeared. We were told by the bartender that the owner decided to stop playing "that kind of music" (verbatim) because it started fights. Pretty sure angry, drunk people start fights, not responsible drinkers who enjoy hip hop music ; so my party decided to leave. I even overheard the bartender say they've gotten no customers today because the music is bad and only the regulars came today. It's 10:52 PM and there about 5 people here. Without good music there is likely to be a decline in patrons who loved this place as the way it was. Also a 1 star for the horrible customer service from the bartender named Amy , she was yelling at a patron repeatedly who was obviously drunk when she could had security make him leave. And for being more defensive then courteous , definitely should look for a job that doesn't involve serving others. read more

Very upset on the customer service. Really felt like the country people are not allowed at all. My friend came from Australia to enjoy and after buying drinks the bartender asked for he's ID but just be coz he had a Australian ID and he was 30+ to drink beer but he was told that he needs to have a California ID although he was here on a visitors visa. Wow ...this is the first and the first place he was asked to do that ...he has been Vancouver, Seattle, and bars in Sacramento but none of them treated him this way. My friend was really upset.
