    Great Dental office had no problems with this dentist. Doesn't over charge and pays you right back if you over paid. Would highly recommend.

    They are easily the most expensive place you can go for a dentist in the area and the care is not…read moregreat. They WILL say you NEED very expensive care and you probably don't need it. People need to be warned about this place and please get a second opinion if they tell you that you need that really expensive gum deep clean that costs almost $2000 with really decent dental insurance (decent for dental insurance). As far as I can tell, they tell everyone they absolutely need that treatment. Not one person I know who went there has been told they don't need it. Those that go elsewhere are always told they don't need it by another dentist. When I went to a new dentist they said, "Yeah, you've got a lot of plaque, but we can fix this with more regular cleanings." And those cleanings are NOT nearly $2000 a pop. I also found that every service there is SO much more expensive than a non-chain, non-corporate dentist. You will pay easily twice as much for everything. They will sit with you and go over how much it is going to cost and they will be really nice and understanding about it. But those prices are insane and not normal for other dentists in the area- please know that going in. Please shop around. When I switched to Horizon down the street, my bills for some really extensive dental work went WAY WAY down. And the services aren't great at ASPEN either, and the people are really fake. I went there because I had a dental emergency and really needed a rather large filling. The dentist was polite at first, but she was really kind of rude when I was in the chair and I could tell she was just frustrated most of the time. I got a crown. The crown fell out twice, once when I was eating a caramel, but the second time, I was eating tuna salad. There are other things, like the Brattleboro location doesn't have a hygienist (they probably don't pay enough, I'm guessing their dentists are way underpaid as well.) They sent me to Keene to get that done, my appointment was for 1:00 and everyone there did not show up back from their lunch break when they close the entire office until 1:15. There were people waiting outside confused and they were just...rude about it.

They are very communicative, responding quickly to emails and questions and are helpful with insurance issues. The hygienists are friendly and thorough. Dr. Bae does my exams and recommended a crown replacement based on what she saw on the X-rays. She was not pushy and patiently explained to me exactly what she was seeing on the X-ray. I decided to move ahead, and they pre-authorized with my insurance and gave me a pre-pay discount, so I knew exactly what I was going to need to pay. She was very patient and gentle throughout the procedure. So far so good with the new crown! The offices are clean, modern and well located with a parking lot just next door (and street parking in front) - however it is metered.

I'm in my 50s and have no problems with my wisdom teeth other than a small cavity in the upper one. I went for a consult at Natich Family Dental and met Dr. Bhalla, their oral surgeon who recommended I have them all pulled. The experience was absolutely horrific. My expectation was either full sedation or at least gas. When I expressed that, I was told "well, this is how we do it." I was led to believe it would be "fine." It was NOT fine! Never should you do a procedure like that on an adult fully awake. I think I left in shock. Covered in sweat, shaking and white as a sheet. I will forever tell everyone I know not to have their wisdom teeth pulled as an adult and if they do, to go full sedation. I also called and sent pictures about a concern I had and Dr. Bhalla couldn't be bothered to call me back. I'm also mad at both my dentist and the surgeon for encouraging me to have them out at all. The top one had a cavity - that's what started it all. I ended up removing 3 perfectly healthy teeth and one that had a small cavity and really just needed a filling. If given all the info and if I could go back in time, I would NEVER have agreed to this course of action. It feels barbaric and like the whole thing was just to get money rather than taking care of patients.

I saw Dr Lau for many years until she left, I now see Dr Magee both exceptional Dentists. I also see Lisa Lyle for about 27 years. I thought about changing because lately the commute can be lengthy but finding out you have openings on a Saturday makes the commute so much easier. Lisa is a perfectionist, does an amazing job. I was sad when Dr Lau left but I'm so happy with Dr Magee, she's thorough, very pleasant. I'm lucky to have both of them.

I'm a Partners Healthcare patient for over a decade, but new to MGH Dental. Upon showing up at 8:45, for my 9 appointment on a Saturday morning, I was unapologetically greeted with, "We texted and called you." It felt as if I was being accused of doing something wrong by merely showing up! I did not get the MGH text because I was already on my way to your office. MGH texted me at 8:20 for an appointment that they wanted me to arrive for by 8:45... and then sent me home without treatment, empathy, compensation... or even a new appointment! Calmly and professionally, I repeatedly explained that this was unacceptable behavior. If I behaved in this exact same manner, there would be consequences. IE. If I cancelled my MGH appointment, without 24 hours notice, I would be charged for the appointment anyway. Yet, MGH has repeatedly canceled appointments on me, over the past decade, with only hours notice... And, in this case, only minutes. Why are there no consequences for MGH? IE. I should get a "free pass," on my MGH file, to cancel my appointment at the last minute without consequences too. Why are there no consequences for the employee... who is more likely not sick, but more probably hungover, to call in "sick" for work with no notice on Saturday morning. IE. This unprofessional behavior should be on file in their record and not tolerated repeatedly. The bottom line is that Partners Healthcare  receptionists generally lack people skills, as noted in countless reviews by upset patients who were treated disrespectfully by them. Your employees working behind your front  desks are the first and last people that patients talk to at your business. They need empathy training desperately. It's rarely what they are saying that is the most offensive, but how they are saying it that is upsetting... With such a lack of empathy. On this particular morning, there was an African American woman, and a Caucasian woman with long black hair, both of which treated me as if I was the problem... Because I showed up for my appointment! I got up at 7 a.m., on a Saturday morning, and walked almost an hour to make that appointment. I did not check my texts along the walk to see if MGH canceled me at the last minute, as it never occurred to me that was even possible. Their attitude problem infuriated me, but I never raised my voice or behaved unprofessionally in any way. Yet, they're emotionless, blank faces, sighing and eye  rolling just kept implying that the only problem was my showing up for my appointment. No one offered me a solution. No one offered me anyone else to talk to. No one even offered me another appointment! I finally refused to leave until they provided me with the name and number of anyone else to talk to about this unprofessionalism. This was extremely, and unnecessarily, stressful for me. I suffer from immune deficiency, due to chronic illness, and will now risk going into a flare up of my conditions because your staff seem to have no protocol in place for when one of your employees cancels at the last minute. This is simply unacceptable.
