    Sesame bagel from bakery

I needed a few last minute thanksgiving items about a month ago & I saw the obriens ad with pumpkin pies for $4.99! I couldn't believe the price and on top of that it turned out to be one of the best pumpkin pies ever! When in the store picking up other items, a nice worker offered me a cart since she saw me with my hands getting full. Everyone was so nice! Theres just a really good overall vibe in this location. Bonus points for still having bakery bagels in the afternoon (plus they were still fresh & chewy the next day).

I come to O'Brien's every so often to grab a deli sandwich, a bakery item, and to do some shopping when they have sales. The deli sandwiches are very good. Service at the deli counter is generally very friendly. My deli server tonight was exceptional. Service at the check out stands can be a bit hit or miss. Overall though, I have no major complaints. They also have a sandwich club where you can earn a free sandwich after a certain number of sandwich purchases. Be sure to sign up for it. If you are shopping here for groceries, their pricing is a bit higher with the exception of sales ad items. Their sale items are very competitively priced. They also have some items on clearance and you can grab a bargain here if you are lucky. Who doesn't like a bargain? This particular location is older and is not as nice as their other locations, but it is kept very clean. I often shop at the Dale road location which is larger and dare I say fancier. Be sure to check out the other shops in Roseburg Square while you are here.

So we ordered 3 sandwiches and decided to try out the turkey club and the Jason. The turkey club was delicious. It was nicely toasted but the Jason was garbage! The bread was stale the chicken was skimpy and dry. My sandwich had more jalapeños than chicken lol. Super dry with only mustard they didn't even bother putting mayonnaise on the damn thing. Made my gums bleed it was so dry Not even being funny, I provided the pictures here. I forgot why I stopped getting sandwiches and today I remembered why

Clean and the variety is phenomenal. We got chicken fajitas and chicken al pastor. Absolutely fantastic. Our guests loved them. They make fresh guacamole and we bought the spicy one. The chips are made there and they are are thicker and crunchier. I thought they were okay but some folks loved them. Where they nail it is the tortillas. House made there and they are out of this world. More texture and taste than store bought. Loved them. I liked the big assortment of refried beans in cans or packages. We tried the El Salvadorian red beans and I really enjoyed them. Good change of pace. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I bought a bean and cheese burrito on the way out in the food service area. Seemed a tad bit disorganized and slow. Good burrito though.

I've had New York steaks that are to tough to even chew. I had diesmillo, arrachera, and beef riblets. All 2/10. Marinated or not the meat is horrible. Would NOT recommend meat from this place. The food court is spectacular with great food and prices. The tamales are a 9/10! Super delicious. Sad to see the meat is nowhere near the rest of the departments.

I was told to call ahead and they will reserve the item for me for the day I plan to come by (since I live out of town) and to make sure the item is in stock.

Classy grocer!…read more O'Brien's Market is definitely a high-end local grocery store. They offer a wide variety of "typical" grocery store items as well as some more artisanal products as well. They have a nice bakery, hot food section, deli, salad bar, wine bar, and meat/fish counter. There is a huge gourmet cheese selection - literally any cheese you may want (cow's milk, goat, sheep) from nearly any country, they seem to have it! They often offer samples (if I remember correctly, if you want to try a particular cheese, they will give you a sample of it)! There are soups, sandwiches, salads, and other hot foods like mac n cheese. The quality of the meats is great! Everything is very fresh and well-maintained. The produce is very fresh too! Although many of these products are higher-priced, their other grocery items (i.e. canned/boxed/bottled/frozen foods) are much surprisingly cheaper than other grocery stores. The store is consistently clean and organized. The store hasn't been updated/remodeled but it still has a timeless design that looks very neat. The staff members are very friendly and will quickly help you whenever needed. The store is never busy and you will rarely have to wait in line. I definitely recommend shopping at O'Brien's Market and will be back!

A bit unsanitary and noncompetitive prices…read more My dad and I came to check out US Foods CHEF'STORE to compare it to the other nearby bulk foods stores like Costco and Smart & Final. I was unimpressed by this one. As soon as you enter this store, you are met with a very unpleasant, almost rancid, smell. I couldn't quite place my finger on what the smell was, but it was definitely not something you want to smell when you enter a place that sells food. We checked out the produce and meat sections first. The fruits and vegetables seemed fresh. The meat section, however, was a bit concerning. All of the plastic bins where the large cuts of meat were stored were filled with meat juices. Although the refrigerated section was cold, I was still a little concerned about the sanitation. Unless you are truly buying in bulk for a restaurant or event setting, the prices are very comparable, if not more expensive, than other grocery stores like WinCo. The smaller bag of potatoes, for example, was significantly more expensive than the same size bag at Costco. The giant bag of potatoes though, was very cheap in comparison. They definitely have a great variety of items that your typical grocery won't carry though. A lot of the items are unique. The sheer amount of drink/cafe syrups was astounding. They have every single thing you may need for a restaurant from take-out containers to sauce and jelly packets. I am not familiar with the pricing of these items, but this seems like a convenient place to buy them.
