Holy moly. This place was beyond fancy and adorable. We did the nine course meal with an additional cheese plate. The dinner was absolutely lovely and the professionalism was on point. The meal took 3 1/2 hours but went by so quickly. It was fun watching them pre-put things down so then they could serve it at the same time. That was a good touch. The only thing I didn't like is that they slowly turned up the dimmer on the lights. It felt like I was being rushed, but there were also people being seated like halfway through my meal. So that part I did not like.

My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary and I must say it was the most beautiful experience! The atmosphere was incredible and the service was top notch. Our servers were attentive and gave us an all around unforgettable experience! The food was also plated very aesthetically, it was so difficult to destroy how cute the presentation was! The food was delicious, though. My absolute favorites were the desserts and Wagyu steak.

One of the best tasting menus we've had in a long time. I took my husband here as an early birthday celebration. We've heard a lot about this place and finally got a reservation to try it out. We started with some cocktails and bread. We opted for the 5 course with the grand wine pairing. We also go the wagyu upgrade. The Wagyu upgrade was one of the best steaks my husband ever had. Each dish was really creative and so delicious. I also thought the wine pairing was spectacular. They were all interesting wines and really brought out each dish. I'm always so amazed when wine can do that to food. The location was a little weird, but once you get in and take the elevator, service was impeccable and you don't even feel like you are next to the Tenderloin. Parking is a little sketch, so take a Waymo if you can. This was one of the most expensive meals we've had. Not sure if we would come back in a normal date night, but this is for those special occasions.

We visited a few weeks ago, and it was our first time dining here. At first, we were a little unsure where the restaurant was located, so I would recommend paying close attention when you walk by the building. The restaurant is on the top floor, and the same owner also has a bakery, bar, and steak restaurant in the building. Once we arrived, we really appreciated how the tables were spaced out, which made the dining room feel comfortable and not too crowded. Our main server was very kind and did a great job explaining the menu. We tried two different tasting menus, and I felt the five-course menu was especially solid; that is the one I would choose again if we returned. The food was delicious, and the overall experience felt special. At times, I was a little confused because different servers came to present different dishes, and some seemed more patient and welcoming than others. A few presentations felt a bit rushed, especially during dessert, when the selections were made for us quickly and there was not much time to ask questions. Even so, I would still recommend visiting, especially if you have never been before. It offers a unique and memorable dining experience.

I took my friend here for her birthday and overall we had a really lovely experience. The food was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared and while the savory courses were good, the desserts were honestly the highlight for me which says a lot because I'm not even a big dessert or chocolate person. I truly enjoyed every sweet course and the chocolates were delicious. What made the night even more special was that they printed "Happy Birthday (name)" on the menu, which was such a sweet and personal touch. On top of that, they also packed special treats for us to take home, which felt incredibly thoughtful and made the celebration feel extra memorable. Service was attentive and professional, and the atmosphere felt refined and calm, perfect for celebrating something special. I'd definitely recommend this place for birthdays or important occasions, especially if you love a beautiful dessert finale. I'd definitely recommend this place!

I've been putting off coming here because I never felt hungry enough but I'm glad I finally did! Really delicious, beautifully plated tasting menu. Compositions are creative but flavors are traditional, meaning there were no taste missteps. I got the 9 course tasting and it was wonderful and the appropriate amount of filling. Highlights were: the bread!!! Caviar composition was lovely and generous portion of caviar. Abalone dish was like a chawan mushi - sooo good. The cod was excellent with nice sauce. The lamb only was a bit under seasoned but luckily I had the salt that came with the bread to supplement that. Desserts were so yummy! Really enjoyed everything and will try to come back for the summer menu. The restaurant was quite empty but decor was lux and inviting. My server was very friendly and answered all the questions with great knowledge. Really enjoyable meal!

Just had a satisfying and wonderful 9 course meal. Amazing service, beautiful and tasty dishes. Had the wagyu supplement and the pieces were big, I love the crispy parts. They offer you a variety of bread options. But their desserts were on another level and big portions. The cart with the mini desserts were so cute and tasty I wish I had more space in my belly to try them all.

Came on a Thursday night with my friend and had the five course tasting menu. First course: Beet soup left everything to be desired. Cold blended beets with a surprising bite in the beginning. Not unpleasant, but not appetizing. Second course: Seafood salad was my friend's fav course of the five. The caviar was overkill imo, but we both loved the crab in it. The jelly texture was not my favorite but every seafood component was delicious. Third course: Black cod was cooked perfectly. Melt in your mouth and so delicate. Fourth course: Heaviest course and the default was Venison, my friend got it and I found it unpleasant and like an overseasoned char siu. Was not gamey at all though. For the $105 supplement I got the wagyu and it was amazing as wagyu always is. Super filling. Fifth course: Chocolate dessert was great. Not sure what it was but we love chocolate. Dessert cart was easily our highlight of the night. You can pick whatever you'd like and they're all so delicate and spectacular. Service here is really attentive. This place was very quiet and intimate which was well appreciated. I do think it's a bit crazy that it's an extra 105 per person for wagyu considering the five course menu is already 210 per person. Not sure if I'd want to come again, but this was a generally pleasant experience.

Outstanding food, Excellent service. You can tell there is alot of thought put into the menu in order to balance consistency with their "hits" but also to work in new things here and there. During our 9-course meal, we were told two of the dishes were being tried out for the first time tonight which made the meal feel more special. While everything was great and this of course is fine/dining, I did feel that O is slightly overpriced so I deduced one star for that. Still worth experiencing though!

Talk for hours about how amazing this whole experience was. From the ambience of the restaurant itself to the incredible service we received from the weight staff along with the amazing choices that the French sommelier recommended to us. This nine course meal we did was out of this world. Every dish we had was perfect and so well balanced, and well executed. Normally, I would talk about each dish individually, but since there were nine courses along with multiple courses, multiple different types of bread and cheese. We had just in one word all I can say is incredible and must go. I cannot wait to return to this location. Make sure if you go you do the wine pairing and you get the cheese platter.

We made a reservation to celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary December 7, therefore we enjoyed the Autumn Tasting Menu (5 course menu) They reached out prior to our arrival to obtain certain information, that in itself had me looking forward to our evening. . When we arrived we were able to see the results of the information they asked for. The attention to detail was outstanding. We had personalized menus. The level of service we received from the entire staff was exceptional. I took photos of the food, but will not be posted so as to not ruin the experience for you. What I can say is that every dish was well thought out and was exceptionally delicious and Michelin star quality. The only picture I will post is the one of their dessert display and our anniversary cake.

Phenomenal tasting experience end to end. Best cheese cart experience in SF. Phenomenal wine list and service. Beautiful pastries, croissant to die for. Great for business and family meals. Felt like being in France. Impeccable tasting menu. Cute intimate ambiance.

An overdue review, but better late than never! We came here for an anniversary dinner back in August and it was one of our most memorable meals. The restaurant is located above the bakery that's on the ground floor so don't almost get lost as I did. There was a staff member that saw us looking lost and helped guide us which was really helpful! We opted for the 5 course menu and everything that came our way was full of flavor and the details on the dish were immaculate. The star dish of the night was the Seafood Salad. My instinct when I heard Seafood Salad was greens with some seafood, BUT when the dish came out I was in awe. I've never seen such a beautiful and delicious salad in my life. If I could've licked the dashi gelée off my plate I would've. Don't underestimate the 5 course menu because the bread board and desserts will get you. If you're looking to celebrate any sort of occasion this is your sign to do it at O' by Claude Le Tohic!

The inside of the restaurant is charming, with plentiful bar seating to watch as dishes are prepared in front of you in an open kitchen. The menu itself is constantly evolving and may be different with every visit. That being said, the main menu is a prix fixe 4-course meal with the option to add on 2-3 additional dishes to share. The meal starts with a amuse-bouche, generally a cold soup. For us it was a chilled golden beet soup, which tasted a bit like a nice, creamy sweet corn. One of the add-ons was the pâté de campagne, a blend of pork and fatty liver. Paired with a dijon mustard and fresh sourdough bread, it was surprisingly elevated for such a simple dish. Next were a pair of fish dishes that were the highlights of the meal, including sierra mackerel with fennel and peach, and monkfish and smoked butter. The monkfish was a particular standout as it was coated with a dill sauce, and complimented with the sweetness of diced rhubarb and earthiness of hazelnuts. The monkfish featured a smoky and lightly spiced flavor. The dish was extremely well-balanced and paired sweet, savory, sour, spicy, and smoky to a tee. Really excellent. The octopus and yukon potato was an add-on - the octopus was extremely tender, not rubbery at all, and the potatoes were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft like a mashed potato on the inside. The meal ended with a hanger steak which was solid, but compared to the other dishes, less extravagant. The dessert featured a rose sorbet, with milk foam and strawberries. As a whole, Mijoté dishes are simple, layered and extremely satisfying to eat. While presentationally may not blow you away, the taste will leave you feeling satisfied. The blend of French and Japanese culinary tradition and cuisine, Mijoté is comforting, elevated, and balanced. Very rare to find fine-dining that tastes so great while also feeling homey at the same time. If in SF, absolutely worth a visit.

With most non-main dishes around $15, it's a great way to slowly snack the afternoon away. French Onion Soup: Packed full of flavor! They put a lot of care into the cooking the onions, since they were nicely caramelized. This helped the soup flavor profile. With the soaked bread and cheese on top, it was quite a hearty soup. Beef Tartar: It seemed like the meat was diced small by hand, not mechanically processed into ground beef, which is how it should be. It came to the table pre-mixed except for the quail egg on top. The flavor had a nice a Dijon mustard tang. The portion of crispy crostini was just right for the amount of meat (many places short change you on that). Roasted Bone Marrow: Looks primal, with one large bone cut cross sectionally and charred on top. They added some Dijon mustard and breadcrumbs before the broiling, which really enhanced the experience. A little goes a long way with this intense marrow spread of crostini. Escargot: Traditional preparation, but I was pleasantly surprised that they added double escargot in every buttery hole. At first I thought it was a mistake, but then realize it was by design as every hole was filled that way. Such a nice treat. Duck Confit Croquettes: Three crispy dense balls with lots of shreds of duck inside. Plus a very pleasant presentation of sauce and pistachios on top. While I liked all the flavors and textures, I wasn't a fan of the fact that inside duck was chilled. Wish the whole ball was warm. Strawberry Fruit Crumble: Not what I was expecting for a crumble. Was more like buttery cookie crumbled on top, but it actually worked. The real star were the fresh strawberries in three forms: diced, sauce and ice cream. So delicious!

Wanted a cappuccino but their espresso machine wasn't working during our visit, so we just had regular coffees. Kiddo ordered the pasta with smoked duck. Kiddo has a nut allergy so she was happy to hear that they do not use nuts in their pesto. I ordered the Lyonnaise Frisee as this is probably one of my most fave salads and decided to also add the smoked duck for more protein. Both dishes arrived at the same time, and they were decent portions. The smoked duck was tender. I enjoyed the salad. Kiddo enjoyed her pasta. Also ordered a croissant as had to give one a try. It was a flaky and buttery croissant - good. At no time did we feel rushed. Had to flag them down for more coffee, otherwise service was friendly. Would return to try other dishes.

Best French restaurant in SF IMO!…read more If you're getting anything off the menu, I recommend the LES MOULES POULETTE . This plate is an assortment of mussels, bacon, garlic, white wine, cream, and parsley. Make sure you order bread as well, so that you can dip it into the plate/sauce . Staff is friendly and there's also outdoor seating which is perfect for the summer. This place is located in Potrero Hill, surrounded by other restaurants, bars, and a book store. Make sure to take a walk around the neighborhood after.

Was busy as usual but I came with a group of two(highly recommended) as the seating was much faster than the larger parties. The portions for some of the entrees are huge so be mindful not to over order! We tried the mussels which were delicious and the sauce it came with was great with the fries from the hamburger. I found the burger to be way more luxurious than what you'd normally expect. Again be prepared some things can be quite large. we also tried the soup of the day which was this lovely tomato basil soup and the pork chop which was perfectly cooked with another great sauce that i kept on dipping the fries in. One last note is the atmosphere it definitely feels like a nice cozy cafe that makes you wanna stay and chat with ur neighbors. Had a blast and i'm looking forward to trying their other entrees someday!

It's a cool location near Fisherman's Wharf, but it's not touristy. It feels old-school SF. Service is wonderful, of course. I like that it's a customizable tasting menu. You can pick 3-5 courses! There'll be something for everyone. The lobster and duck were wonderful. The Squab pasta was fine, but not as good as the other mains. The desserts (including the souffle) were such a treat! So light and fluffy. Best souffle I've had in SF! They were accommodating to my mom's allergies. Staff handled a misbehaving child so well. She carried him and walked around! I will be back for sure! They also gave us Pineapple cakes to take home.

Made reservations about a month in advance for a Friday night 6:30pm reservation. 5 courses for $185. Good sized portions and we were quite stuffed - probably overly so. All the dishes we ordered were good but the standouts for me were the glazed oysters, scallops, and the salmon. The cheese course is always my fave course - wish I could remember the names of the ones I liked. Could never pass up the chocolate souffle, but I really liked the profiteroles. The French toast was another good one. Service has always been excellent. Although not right away, I'm sure we'll return again.

The portions were huge and overall we were happy with our lunch! Service was phenomenal and they navigated serving a large party well. Even on a random Wednesday there were a ton of customers. We didn't have enough room for dessert - I will come back to try the French onion soup and mussels in white wine.
