Loved Collina! Such a small, cozy spot that truly feels like being in Italy. The wine was great, and the appetizers started off really strong. Even the salad stood out, so fresh and flavorful. The mushroom gnocchi was fantastic, and honestly some of the best pasta I've had in SF. Everything felt simple in the best way, just really well done. Our waitress was so friendly and kind, which made the experience even better. Definitely recommend coming here.

One of my favorite meals out in a while. The menu options are so unique and everything tasted delicious -- and portions were surprisingly really huge for an Italian spot! I left so full. We started with a cheese dip (a special for the day) which had pesto & brie and came with crispy crostini. Super cheesy and delicious. We also got the ricotta toast which was also so good! Loved the slightly sweet ricotta & sliced fruit on top. The raviolo was also a really rich dish with all the brown butter (amazing to dip the focaccia with) and runny egg and cheesy filling. Definitely worth the hype. Also deceivingly filling for one piece! The only dish I thought was underwhelming was the lasagnette. It looks impressive but flavor-wise didn't wow me, and I expected it to be much crispier than it was. Portion is quite large though. So glad we got dessert since the butterscotch budino was fantastic! It's super sweet and decadent and the perfect combo of creamy, smooth, and crunchy textures. Would definitely order again. They also kindly let me take the leftovers home in the glass jar since we were stuffed! Service was wonderful and very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu. Ambiance inside is cute for a date night or nice meal out with friends! Very impressed by this spot and would highly recommend!

Summary: Rich, yet well-balanced Italian eats Details: My experience at Seven Hills several years ago wasn't super memorable, so I didn't have particularly high expectations going in to Collina to celebrate a birthday meal. However, I came out more than pleasantly surprised! While some dishes like the raviolo were super, super buttery rich, the other seasonings were all pretty well-balanced: nothing was too salty, sweet, or whatever else, with the only miss for the entire meal being the tiramisu, which I found to be a little too wet, and also... minty? But the raviolo, tagliatelle, and focaccia were all quite excellent, making this an absolutely re-visit for me. That said, one other con is that parking in this area has always been notoriously/historically difficult: much more so than other neighborhoods in the city, to where I always expect to spend at least 20min+ looking. So, either come early, be prepared to walk (up and down a lot of hills), or rideshare over. Accessibility: The restaurant itself is plenty accessible, with lots of accessible tables and spacious enough areas. The neighborhood itself, is a different story, and can be a bit difficult if you struggle with hills.

Second to NONE! My fiancé and I found this place on Resy (now on open table) when we were looking for restaurants in sf (we are visitors). Liam, our server, and Ashton, the manager, made sure our experience was enjoyable, personal, and intentional. Our favorites from the night were the blue shell crab for him and the scallops for me (see pictures attached). These were some of the best scallops I have ever had. I wish this restaurant was in our hometown so we could eat here regularly! I would definitely recommend making a reservation for this spot as it is a smaller restaurant and it fills up quick. This is a place you don't want to miss! LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!!!

Beautiful lowkey, cozy restaurant in the nob hill area! Came here for dinner on a thursday evening: the interior had dim lighting with candles lit everywhere, and tables all seated closely together. Perfect spot for a date night or fancy meal with friends. We ordered the following: - Della fattoria toast: this was so good. toast was crunchy, which paired well with the savoriness of the prosciutto and the sweetness of the pear slices and honey. also very aesthetically pretty - Raviolo: I think this is the most popular dish here - one singular ravioli with an egg yolk in the middle, paired with bread. The ricotta filling was tasty, but the overall dish was very rich and sweet. cooked really well but I'm not the biggest fan of sweet entrees so probably wouldn't order again - Heritage chicken: chicken was very juicy and tender, and I loved the skin on top. the potatoes were also crispy and the greens added a nice fragrant taste that really complimented the chicken. - Tiramisu: fluffy, not too dense, and I liked the cocoa powder shavings on top Service was also great and everyone was very nice. Overall, very pleasant experience and would definitely come back again

Was completely blown away by this sister restaurant of Seven Hills -- and honestly, I felt like I got even better value for the experience. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, with its warm, romantic lighting and intimate vibe -- though it turned out to be just as lovely for a girls' night out! It was buzzing on a Friday evening, but we still managed to grab a reservation the day before. We kicked things off with Hugo spritzes, arancini, and the baby kale salad. Every bite impressed: the spritz was light and refreshing, the arancini packed far more flavor than most I've tried, and the salad was a perfect balance of textures with an exceptional dressing. The pastas more than lived up to the stellar start. The agnolotti stole the show -- each bite bursting with rich, layered flavor -- followed closely by the spaghettini, which had spot-on texture and depth. Surprisingly, we actually liked the giant raviolo the least, despite it being the restaurant's signature dish -- it leaned quite sweet and almost dessert-like. While everything we ordered was vegetarian, our group of three still left feeling completely satisfied (and very full).

Collina is a cute restaurant with friendly servers. As my boyfriend and I arrived, we were promptly greeted and then situated at our table. It was extremely warm that day and the server was kinda enough to bring down the blinds for us. Cucumbers in a crème fraiche dill sauce-(3/5) This was indeed a refreshing dish but pretty one dimensional in terms of flavor. Personally would've liked a bit of salt on the cucumbers. Baby kale salad (3/5) the fresh greens were a nice starter prior to the heavy entrees we had. Again, the flavors were one dimensional and there were close to no sauce that coated the greens. I did enjoy the different textures of the squash and nuts in contrast to the light crunchy greens. Veal (4/5) the veal was cooked perfectly and meat was succulent. I adored the outer crust which gave a nice bite in contrast to the tender meat. Black truffle pasta (4/5) the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and I enjoyed the buttery aromatic sauce that coated the pasta. Service is impeccable here but food can be a hit or miss. Would definitely come back to try their other menu items.

I was excited to try this place but it was a little bit too rich and heavy to be super enjoyable. I didn't love how the raviolo and bread were just swimming in butter/oil, especially since the inside is runny egg yolk. That combo of textures just wasn't great to me. The lasagnette was good and the layers have some crisp, also a huge portion.

So excited I finally got to try Collina- the sister restaurant to seven hills! Very cozy and intimate atmosphere. We stopped by around 8pm on a Thursday night and were able to grab a seat at the bar. We had the squash blossoms, mussels and tagliatelle. Can't go wrong- it was all amazing! Service was great and timed out our dishes well! Definitely worth checking out.

We love Seven Hills so of course we love Collina! Wonderful service and ambiance and food. It's cozy and welcoming, feeling slightly smaller and more intimate than Seven Hills, but similar. I can't imagine parking here--lots of people walking around out and about, and you could take the cable car! Also close to a few Muni lines. We started off with the Octopus antipasti, then enjoyed the Raviolo and lasagnetta. The raviolo was larger than the one at a certain other well-known SF Italian spot, and I think I may have enjoyed it more in part for that reason! The budino dessert was the icing on the cake. Will definitely be back.

Saffron tomato arancini - basically to die for.

Solid 5 stars here, no doubt. I made reservations for our anniversary. Something came up last minute so I canceled with the Resy app. Leery of a $25 per person cancel fee I called and left a message (in the a.m. before they were open). Alex called me back not long after and told me it was no problem and I would not be charged. I remember him from years ago when we were going to 7 Hills often. I decided to make alternate arrangements, called him back and told him I'd like to keep my resy. As most others are reporting the place is a phenom. Service is excellent - friendly and attentive at all times. You really go for the food though. Rather than writing details about every dish what really struck me was this is a farm to table place. I asked and they confirmed that they go to the Ferry Building multiple times a week to source a lot of the food. It is obvious from the first bite. Everything is as fresh as can be. A few comments even though I just said I wouldn't imbibe on each, but alas I can't resist. Raviolo - Not as rich as I remember it which was a welcome surprise. It should be so rich you can barely eat it but somehow it's balanced and mopping up the oil and yolk with the fresh focaccia is foodgasmic. Spaghettini - Absolutely divine. Up there with some of the best pasta I've ever had (Scarpetta comes to mind). A bit spicy for the wife of 18 years but I loved it and you can ask them to tone down the heat. Scallops - I thought they would come out with just a drizzle of sauce but oh my - here they were surrounded by a whole bunch of fresh corn and other veggies that were of course sautéed in the most amazing sauce. I could not believe how good that was. The scallops were seared to absolute perfection. Gordon Ramsey would blush over these. Zucchini alla Scapece - Absolutely divine. Fresh as can be and seasoned and cooked to perfection. Tomato panzanella - Unbelievably good tomato salad. Again, absolute farm to table presentation and flavors throughout. The welcoming staff made our visit for our anniversary very special with the table next to the window, a round of bubblies to start the evening and a small piece of tiramisu for dessert. I'll say again the staff couldn't be more friendly, engaging, attentive and professional. I don't usually score on service because I mostly only care about the food but when you have service as good as it is here you notice it and it elevates the experience dramatically. I'm a fan and will be looking to score my next Resy very soon.

The drinks were okay, nothing special. The crab dip and chips were good. The dip was fresh and paired well with the potato chips. The truffle pasta was veryyy heavy, very truffly. I'd say share this dish with 3 people if you don't love truffle. The lasagna was the worst part. I've never had lasagna this bad. There was some type of fondue flavoring that really left a bad taste in my mouth. Apparently this was their most popular dish but it was a 0/10 for me. The service was great and the ambiance was nice but this place is overpriced and the food isn't worth it. If you want really good pasta, check out their sister restaurant Seven Hills.

A solid neighborhood restaurant with cozy ambiance and friendly service. Street parking were definitely hard to find as it took us a while to find out spot. We enjoyed all of the dishes, especially the mussels. The spaghetti was perfectly season and cooked. It was not the best I ever had but pretty darn good. Overall it was a solid meal wish parking was easier we would visit again.
