Pulled up with the family to go eat dinner, and there were 3 employees standing at the front door smoking. This was at 4:20 pm on a Thursday afternoon. Big turnoff! We've loved O'Charlie's for years. Our favorite Pecan Crusted Chicken Salad is gone forever. The last few times we hope it will get better but to no avail. The chicken was very crumbly and salad was thrown together haphazardly. I guess the pride is gone. O'Charlie's please do better. read more

Nothing Special but not horrible, it's basically a better version of Olive Garden, Bread is really good but the meal was just meh.

Just returned back home to Owensboro after retiring and this O'Charlies was a favorite place. I brought my son and grandchildren for dinner. Well I thought i did. Basically watched employees laughing, horsing around, and talking up a storm and ended up forgetting about us. 20 mins later someone stopped by, that was nice of them. Eventually she took our order and disappeared. 30 mins later she brought out the food. Mine was unbeatable, with a cold baked potato and a steak that was cool and rare. Not medium rare and a eatable baked potato. She never showed again until we got someone to get our check. There was no concern on her part about my meal or anyone elses. We were able to finally get to-go boxs for the kids food to take home to heat up. Hell will have to freeze over before i go back there again. So disappointed. read more

Ordered takeout and it was a complete failure. Steak was extremely well done, burger was horrible, their famous chicken strips were okay but they didn't even give the sauce it always comes with their signature honey mustard. They weren't anyone to be found when I walked in to get my food and it was sitting on the counter waiting for me. Somebody came to the cash register and I paid and they immediately left. When they did that I accidentally grabbed someone else's food along with mine. Honest mistake that could of been prevented, did that person a favor anyhow. There's was a cheeseburger and a pile of fries on the ground right as you walk in. I told the 2 guys at the hostess stand and they said they would take care of it right away. Needless to say it was still there when we left 45 minutes later but now some of the fries got drug into the foyer. The table and menus were so sticky. So disgusting. I used to love O' Charley's & ate here at least 2-3 times a month, sometimes more. However, in the last year or two I feel as if there service & quality has definitely went downhill. There have been many times I have gotten old, hard rolls. The cheese wedge appetizers that are deep fried have been served to me when the cheese has leaked out during cooking and yet, they still put them on a plate and serve them. You can tell picking them up there is nothing in them. Even in a sampler appetizer that only comes with three chicken strips they will plate up three of the tiniest pieces of chicken that look like they came from the bottom of the bag. My boyfriend's steak is never cooked correctly as ordered, & once he even had a manager argue with him over how his steak was cooked. The manager told him a well done steak was supposed to be pink! He was so angry by the time he was brought the exact same steak three times in a row he ate it anyway just so we could leave. I once came here with a party of 6, the restaurant was not busy, & was told we had to wait on silverware because none of it was clean. We had our food, which took maybe 40 minutes, before we ever had silverware. Then they left something out of my grandfather's order that was supposed to come with it because he had ordered a side salad as well. I know all places have bad days and things happen but seems there is almost always something wrong. This might explain why they have so many promotions, kids eat free, all you can eat chicken tenders, free pie Wednesday, all you can eat catfish, coupons galore. It's all they have going for them to draw people in. I mean, there food is great, if you get it prepared correctly that is. read more

Everyone was super nice. Our waiter, Dawson, did an excellent job taking care of us. Food was super good, hot, and came in a timely manner. Only complaint was the margaritas don't have much tequila in them at all. Well, I guess that's what you get with $4 everyday margaritas. Great place, go check them out!! read more

Got a 20% coupon in the mail. Saw the ad for Nashville Hot. My experiences w/ O'Charley's has been fair so I decided to give it a shot. The Nashville Hot Tenders were OK (not Hot) but Ok so all was fine. Then, I was ambushed by "Free Pie Wednesday." Which I stupidly accepted. Got the Pie just as I was paying the bill. My dining buddy had already started eating their part of the pie when I was told "Coupon doesn't work with the Free Pie." Well #*&@. I didn't even want the #*@! pie. I wanted the discount. Maybe in the future, you could have the servers collect payment before giving free @*!# so that the customers aren't duped into not getting what they originally wanted. I will NOT be back. I am tired of this nonsense. Just letting you know how you lost a customer, for good. All coupons will be going directly in the trash from now on. ----------- Edit: Since last night, I received a response to my feedback via their Contact Us. Received a response that I didn't expect: an apology that included an explanation that their policy IS to give the customer warning about free offers in conjunction with coupons. We actually found this place by accident (we were getting sick of ordering pizza so we looked up places that deliver in Owensboro, and we were gonna order from a different place but the online ordering wasn't open at the time. I was mad and looked at some other places and just picked O'Charley's at random. Best decision EVER their food is great (I LOVE the Loaded Potato Soup, it's really good to dip the rolls in it :)) My favorite thing to get besides that is the Chicken Pot Pie, the hard part is picking a side as they have really good Broccoli as well as Rice Pilaf both of which taste so good so it's hard to pick one lol. read more

We arrived as they had just opened for the day. Parking lot was littered with trash, the rugs, upon entering, were filthy and littered with trash too! The tables were sticky. The seats and tile were crumb filled. Assuming the clean up crew had not made it in yet...the restroom visit confirmed that. The trash cans had not been emptied from the night before. A fecal diaper was sticking out of the trash can in the stall. I won't go into the rest of the condition of the restroom.. Thank goodness for my hand sanitizer. I unrolled the silverware to find forks smeared with caked on food. My husband opened his and found his knife in even worse condition. Stuck on food. I ordered poached eggs, they came out hard boiled and floating in so much vinegar they were inedible. I had to soak up the vinegar with what I could only hope was a clean napkin. Our server was great! The coffee was hot and the replacement scrambled eggs were okay.... SERIOUs Management issues!!! Health Dept should have inspected too. We utilized their 'Carry Out' service on 3/11/17 around 5 PM. We were not impressed with the service or the food. Our carry out containers all leaked into the plastic bag, the food was sloppy and cold by the time we received it, and the wait staff, whom we called to place the order, didn't remember all of our meals when we checked in. That led to a further 20 minute wait for our food and our rolls were literally flattened when we checked them in the vehicle. We will not go back in a "Carry Out" capacity. Yesterday, my husband and I went to dinner at the Owensboro O'Charley's. Upon entering, our greeting from the hostess was "How many?" Not a "Hello" or even a "Welcome to O'Charley's." The 2nd hostess escorted us to our table. As I walked through the dining area, I could see food in and on the carpet in scattered places from left to right. Other staff was just hanging around chatting and giggling. No one seemed to actually be doing any work. And the place CLEARLY needs some sprucing up. Our server was a pleasant young man that referred to us as "you guys" the entire visit. He was thorough and attentive to us. I appreciated that. Our dinner was very good and came out hot. O'Charley's looks to be in desperate need of better management and staff training. This use to be a nice CLEAN place to eat. Now it just looks like it's slowly becoming a tired dump. Get it together, O'Charley's. Restaurants are closing all over the place due to poor management and inadequate staffing! Hope you're not the next eatery to make that list. read more
