As a traveler from Houston, I was interested and seeing Alabama's night life. We was told that this place was pretty cool. We took a Lyft to Dauphin Street which is the happening place in Alabama. This was our first bar we visited. It was a pretty cool spot, there's games for people to play like Connect 4, Jenga, and corn in the hole I believe. They sell daiquiris. I got the hurricane one, it was okay, I'm not a huge daiquiri drinker but settled for this because they didn't have the type of liquor that I like. Mostly different types of beers offered here. This might just be one of the most popular bars in Mobile. Newly renovated and connected to two other bars allegedly owned by the same people, this bar is modern looking and do not allow indoor smoking!! A real treat. They have heat lamps in the back outdoor area with a giant jenga set and some bean bag throwing game (must be a Southern thing) that people love to play. The crowd here is probably the best of Mobile, though sadly, that is not as spectacular as one might imagine. read more

I think the owner should look into changing a small portion of staff I come into the bar to grab a quick drink before meeting friends elsewhere, and immediately, I have some scronny little 20 year old twerp who claimed he worked there (surprisingly, honestly) trying to condescend me/mock me. Now look, I'm not usually thin-skinned, but I think it was the fact that it was so unsolicited and in no way good natured/well intended+the fact that if you say you're an employee there, it's probably best to act the part--somewhat. Had a BIG OLE HONKER OF A NOSE. He said his name was Dalton. I come in and order a drink and both this kid, on the clock/off the clock?, as well as the tat-sleeved baby face kid behind the bar are literally trying to keep people out of there 'safe space' I suppose‍ by acting pretentiously rude/childish to both myself and others. And here I am saying to myself: "If I was bar tending, I'd try to actually make money (weeknight or not) by keeping my guests around This is a business! Not your personal safe space! Have some ettiquette, you nasty, broke little goons. We need to start making efforts to clean up some of the DT scene. It's just become gross/cringy compared to how it used to be; bring the adults back! read more

I finally made it into O'Daly's with a friend a few weeks ago for their free crawfish on Tuesday night. It's an interesting little bar - actually 2 or 3 bars, all next to each other. They share a common "back yard" with a wiffle ball field and the back yard is pet friendly! I think we counted like 6 different wiffle ball teams with their matching shirts on, so it must be a big deal there. The bars had a vast selection of beers, friendly service and clean restrooms. I'm not sure about the food as we only sampled the free crawfish, which goes quickly and it takes a while for them to cook more. We opted to go somewhere else to eat dinner. The place was either less crowded or larger than I expected, either way, it was a pleasant experience. I'll definitely make it by again, more often. read more

Just walking down the road and we saw a sign that said $4 car bombs. No brainer. We did a u-turn and went in. 2 min later we were $8 poorer but with bigger smiles on our faces. Cool atmosphere. I absolutely LOVE this place! My wife and I frequent O'Daly's during crawfish season for their great free crawfish and beer discounts on Tuesdays. The crawfish have a good level of heat and there are plenty of nice veggies in the mix. The back porch is a great place to hang out and relax or play a game or two of "corn hole". Watching some of the world cup games here was a friggin' blast! We were packed in like sardines yelling and cheering for USA. The bar tenders passed around free shots everytime USA scored. Their St. Patty's Day party is a can't miss! They know how to throw down. There is a charity 5k in the morning with food and concerts at night. The Mulligan Brothers and Sister Hazel were phenominal! O'Dalys seems to be Dauphin Streets answer for an Irish pub, honestly to me it's just ok. The bar is attached to another via the rear patio, which bodes a wiffle ball field and some cornhol boards shared with Dauphin Street blues and another place downtown. The bar is clean and the bartenders fun and can make anything you can think of and some things you've never heard of. They do free crawfish with a drink purchase during the season and they always seem to have serious drink specials, 4 dollar car bombs etc. So why the three star rating, well it has its drawbacks. For one, O'Dalys is small, yet they always have big crowds. For a bar a big crowd is a good thing but this place can't accommodate those crowds. It's narrow meaning three deep at the bar sometimes and barely able to move. The drinks are fair priced and are solidly poured so kudos there but I'm not of the age where I want to fight to get a drink. Dauphin street blues, one of the neighbors, usually has a band and they are much bigger allowing for those crowds. The bartenders here are busy and attentive but sometimes overwhelmed. Also a line for the bathroom is usually expected, one stall rooms for an entire packed bar. All in all I like this place, several times I've met friends here and had a great time, just don't expect fast service on a busy night. Also, I've been here on about 7 occasions, but check your tab, I have had one instance where people put drinks on my tab I didn't know anything about. O'Dalys keep it up but hire another bartender to make he crowd easier to serve! read more

Great place to go for a night out. There are 3 bars connected to each other, each with a different vibe/theme! The one on the end, they have frozen drinks (my favorite being the black and blue!!!!!) and I definitely recommend giving them a try. As for O'Daly's, you HAVE to get their car bombs. They're $4 and taste like chocolate milk. 2-3 of those and a black & blue (which is $5 and strong) will get you where you want to be! We have been coming to O'Dalys for awhile now and we used to enjoy ourselves. Now the service is not great. Mainly the girl they have working the bar in O'Dalys specifically. She was less than pleasant and did not really care about her job. She was over serving customers to the point that many were sick. Very irresponsible that's bar allows someone so careless to serve customers. She also refused to give change after I had paid. And threatening to "kick people out" is unnecessary and uncouth. She threatened a girl for not giving a drink to someone who was obviously way over their limit. Don't punish people for helping others and keeping people from making a fool of themselves/getting sick at the bar. I hope this bar realizes how bad they look for being rude to customers and for only caring about money. read more

Great place for any night of the week. Always accommodating to host larger groups (I have attended several class reunions here). The combination of three places with a large back patio joining all three makes is easy to move around and play typical bar style games (corn hole and jenga). One main highlight of the location is that there is no cover charge! If you are in town and skip visiting this place you are missing out. read more

Broke my friends real ID on his birthday, ruined the night couldn't even get into any other bars downtown. O'Daly's prides themselves in letting only 21+ people in but denied a group of 10+ people in because the bouncer snapped his ID in half. Recently I was on a business trip to Mobile with some coworkers, the staff at the RSA tower recommended O'dalys for happy hour and possibly dinner. I have never been more disappointed or shocked in my life. The bartender Hayden was completely stoned. She then asked another coworker to cover for her while she went into the employee bathroom smoked again, then went out back to smoke a cigarette with some of the kitchen staff. Upon her return she could barely make a drink suggestion and was constantly on her phone giggling. At first we found it funny, until later in the night. Your staff member was continuously taking shots with whom she called "regulars" as well as other O'dalys employees. She even offered to sell us some marijuana because she was in a tight financial situation. It was at this point, the group had gotten fed up with the lack of professionalism and customer satisfaction this employee was demonstrating. We asked to speak with the manager or the owner of the establishment. Her response was, " I am the manager, if you don't like how I run my bar you can leave!". I hope the true owner or manager gets this review and takes action because I am positive this isn't the first time this has happened. read more

THE ONLY THING IRISH ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THAT THEY SERVE GUINNESS. No other Irish spirits that we could see and no Irish food. No live Irish music although we were told by our hotel there should be music. They played rap music. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!! Saw a joint close by that looked like musicians were setting up but NO ONE was there. Completely dead. How long was it going to take for them to set up? Why was there no one there? Yeah, didn't entice us to go. We stayed on Dauphin street for several hours and never found anywhere with live music on a Friday night. What?!?!?!! Anyways, this place is a joke. I was so turned off by this place that I didn't feel like getting a drink although my two companions still got a beer. I wanted to just leave as this place just made me so angry in it's blatant lack of Irishness. Just to top it off, they made me show my ID although I wasn't sitting at the bar and wasn't buying a drink. Really dudes? Really?! Just wow. Way to start off the night...to which didn't get better.
