We've visited once a month since fall pre-symphony usually during brunch rush. With seating upstairs and downstairs in the beautifully paneled dining rooms, the pub feel is inviting and relaxing for friends and families to gather. Our favorites are drinks and apps, and must do's include: The Mango Mai Tai, Peach Bellini, Cosmopolitan, and various Margaritas. The wait for my food was just too long for what I ordered. I got in, and no one was there to greet me on what to do.. do I just sit at a table? Do I need to alert someone I am here. It was a bit miss organized. I told the guy what I wanted, and I didn't get what I read on the menu. The green salad with croutons and cucumbers. I got bacon and no croutons... I paid almost double what I thought lunch of a small salad and soup was going to be. $10. That is what I thought I would be paying, but after tipping 20%, my bill was $20. Let me just say, I would come here any day just for the fried crab claws, HOLY SMOKES! They come at very affordable prices for what they give you, and the service was fine. The waitress tended to my party of 7 for my sisters birthday, and treated us like a family! This is a more fine dining experience, so I would absolutely get dressed for the occasion. The drinks are at reasonable prices for the scale of the restaurant, and they were all made very well. Balcony seating was great being able to watch all the people. Only real complaint was service. We saw the waiter twice and that's when it brought our drinks to us. Coworker and I dined here for lunch today. Seated quickly and our server Lindsey was very attentive. I had the chicken salad sandwich (menu boasted it was homemade there for many years). This was posted by a friend on Factbook...... Sooooo, I have to share my experience tonight @ TP Crockmiers. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I made a reservation 3 weeks ago for a party of 18. No problem. Called yesterday to confirm the reservation. No problem. Arrive to the restaurant at the reservation time to a table with 10 chairs. I asked where the other people were supposed to sit. Oh. Some over at this table. Some over at another table. (This reservation was for a group of kids). I asked if we could move one of the tables up so all the kids could sit together. The lady helping us went over to a man (sitting at a table drinking with 2 other guys). She said "we can't move the table". I asked why they didn't tell me when I reserved that they couldn't seat the party together. At this point the man who has been drinking at the table starts yelling at me. "This is my restaurant. If you want to do what you want you go to your restaurant. But this is my restaurant and I'm not moving tables..." He continued to yell and cuss, called me a bitch and asked if I "wanted to go?" (Like he was going to fight me). All of this in front of 14 kids!!! The hostess tried to get him under control and kept saying "Bill. Bill. Bill" to try to get his attention to no avail. She walked by me and shook her head apologetically. He said "so you can stay or you can go" so I told the kids to get up and leave. As we are walking out he yells to the people on the sidewalk "when you deal with bitches this is how you have to treat them!!" Y'all!!! I have NEVER been rendered speechless. But that is exactly what happened tonight. I cannot imagine an owner acting like that in ANY business. If I had not experienced/witnessed it, I would not have believed it- it was that incredibly crazy!! I get it he has so much money he doesn't need ours, but I hope I'm never that "rich". On a positive note, Heroes (Downtown) Sports Bar & Grille saved the day! They quickly accommodated our group and provided great service for the kids to continue on with their night. Needless to say- we will NEVER step foot back in TP Crockmiers. read more
